This place is a 10/10! If you're trying to taste something different but flavorful this is the place! Loved it here! Their papas rellenas are delicious!! And their sweet treats are also so good specially the chocolate cake! Service is also nice.

Got dinner with my parents, as Peruvians my parents want to go to every new Peruvian spot to support our people. To start with, the vibes inside are like that of a takeout restaurant. By the register they have dried goods/snacks/sauces from Peru for sale. I bought a pack of Doña Pepa to take home (if you aren't familiar, they are cookies dipped in chocolate and covered in sprinkles!) The menu had a decent amount of options. We ordered: Yuca con Huancaina, Anticuchos, Ceviche, Jalea, Lomo Saltado, Aguadito, Papa Rellena. I'll start with what NOT to order. The aguadito was way too thick, almost porridge like. It tasted like it already had lime squeezed in. The taste was not what Im familiar with. The yuca con huancaina was also a skip for next time. The yuca was a little undercooked, and the huancaina tasted closer to a nacho cheese. Youre better off ordering something else. Moving onto the main dishes: * How a peruvian spot makes lomo really tells you how its gonna go. The meat was perfectly cooked. This was presented more like a deconstructed lomo since the fries and tomatoes were not tossed together with the meat and onion. The overall for this dish was 4 out of 5. They were but heavy handed with the soy sauce. Still delicious! * The jalea (fried fish and calamari) was perfect!! 5/5! Perfectly crunchy and all the seafood was great. No fishy taste. The mojarra was one of the best fried mojarra I've had in a long time. Just order it, and dont forget to ask for a side of lime. * The ceviche was good, the leche de tigre was the kind you wanna just slurp up at the end. I liked that they asked if we wanted it spicy and how spicy. My dad got normal spicy and wasnt spicy at all to us so we may just get spicy next time. * The papa rellena came with two small papas and was chicken based which threw us off. There was no indication on the menu or by staff that it would be chicken. My mom spoke up to the server that she was a little bamboozled by it The server told us some weeks they do chicken and some they do beef. We wish they told us before we ordered, or had some notice about asking what the filling of the week would be. Flavor was good. * Anticuchos had a good seasoning, they were a little on the more cooked side but they were definitely not tough as other reviews mention. The aji they serve is on the spicier side, you could tell before tasting as its not light in color. Overall good food with reasonable pricing.

Great yuca!!! Sauce good too. Rustic and more authentic than we've had in the US. Chicha jarra is the way to go, you get a great deal! Thank you. Tasted great. Hubby got seco and Aguadito and liked both. I got chupe and yes! Was so good! Missing cheese unfortunately, that's why I took off a star. But was still good. Service was great! Parking at the door. Store with lots of Peruvian products. We went for a second order of yuca. Thank you!

I think my niece that was visiting had requested something I could only find here. I honestly don't remember what we ordered back then, but we got dinner for 4 people and I recall we all enjoyed it. Niece was visiting from NY again last week and wanted dinner from Cuzco's, she said had not forgotten how good it was and she thinks about it often. Her wish came true, I ordered delivery again. This time it was only for the two of us, an order of Tallarines Verdes with Milanese Chicken, and Lomo Saltado. The food was fresh, cooked well, and super flavorful. Entrees were large and we each saved half for lunch the next day. I never find myself in La Habra, so I doubt I will dine in here, but I am happy to keep it on the delivery rotation, maybe we'll have it again when she comes back for Christmas!

We came in with our daughter, who is on the autism spectrum and has very specific food preferences and sensory needs. As we have done on previous visits, we brought food from McDonald's for her so that she could comfortably eat while we enjoyed our meal. We explained this to our waiter and let him know that we have always been allowed to do this in the past because of our daughter's special needs. Unfortunately, the waiter refused to allow our daughter to eat her food and repeatedly stated that his manager, Angel, made the rules. Despite explaining our situation and our long history as customers, there was no effort to accommodate us or show any understanding. What makes this even more disappointing is that we have been coming here for years and have spent a significant amount of money supporting this restaurant. Our family meals would often total close to $200, and we were regular customers who genuinely enjoyed dining here. It was upsetting to see that our loyalty seemed to mean nothing and that no consideration was given to our daughter's circumstances. Rather than make our daughter uncomfortable or cause a scene, we chose to leave. As parents of a child on the spectrum, we expected a little compassion and understanding. Instead, we felt unwelcome and dismissed. We are extremely disappointed by how this situation was handled and, sadly, after years of being loyal customers, we will not be coming back.

And I am SO glad we did because everything about our experience was seriously a 10/10! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was amazing. The gentleman at the front greeted us and escorted us to our table, and right away we felt welcomed and comfortable. Our server, Quang, was absolutely the sweetest! He was so friendly, outgoing, attentive, and helpful, especially when it came to giving us recommendations since it was our first time there. He had such a positive energy and really made our experience even better. And the FOOD!!! If I could give it 1,000/10, I seriously would. We tried the Ube Cloud, Vietnamese Iced Coffee, Garlic Parmesan Fries, Spicy Shrimp Wontons, Corn Ribs, Garlic Butter Prawns, and Filet Garlic Noodles, and honestly, there wasn't ONE thing we didn't enjoy. Everything was full of flavor and absolutely delicious. But what really stood out to us was that it wasn't just the food -- it was the entire experience. The staff, the atmosphere, the music, and just the overall vibe made us feel so comfortable and welcomed. The music they were playing was amazing too! My friend and I were enjoying ourselves, eating good food, listening to good music, and just having such a great time. The whole place honestly had such a warm, homey feeling to it. When we were leaving, the gentleman who had greeted and seated us earlier ended up having a whole conversation with my friend and me. He was so sweet and personable! He mentioned that they may be opening a location in Culver City, and I told him I really hope they do because that would be much closer to home for me. I was even joking with him that if they open one, they need to bring the whole staff from this location over there too because everyone here was THAT amazing. At the same time, even if there ends up being a location closer to me, I would honestly still make the drive back to this one. When you visit somewhere for the first time and have such a great experience, that location becomes special. You can visit the same restaurant somewhere else, but the people, atmosphere, and experience aren't necessarily going to feel the same. This location definitely left that kind of impression on us. I really hope this review reaches management because the staff here deserves the recognition. Everyone we interacted with was wonderful, and Quang especially took such great care of us. This was our first time at VOX Kitchen, but it DEFINITELY won't be our last. We're already talking about coming back and bringing our family and more of our friends so we can all enjoy it together. 10/10 food. 10/10 service. 10/10 atmosphere. 10/10 experience. The market is easy to spot with a big street sign out front. There are only two parking spots in front, one is a handicapped space. There's plenty of parking around the back though. When you walk in, you will see the main market with lots of items and brands I've never seen before. Slightly to the right is their deli counter with lots of meats, cheeses, and other miscellaneous items. To the right of the entrance is a dining area, and another counter where you can order sandwiches, empanadas, pizza, French fries, and drinks. I was laser focused on getting the chimichurri and leaving since I was short on time. It is in plastic bottles in plain view on on top of the deli counter. I purchased the regular variety, but they also have a spicy version. I could already tell this was going to be way better than the other two sauces I tried. I've had it on a steak, and on my breakfast scrambled eggs, and it's in a whole different league from the grocery versions I tried. It looks just like a restaurant chimichurri, oil based with lots of herbs and spices. I just had a nice filet mignon with chimichurri at a good Argentinan restaurant last week, and this chimichurri is about 90% as good. I moved it from the plastic bottle it comes in to a glass jar which will hopefully help preserve it longer, and store it in the refrigerator. I now have no reason to look elsewhere for chimichurri. My friend visits here periodically and says the sandwiches are excellent. I'll have to return again to try one, get more chimichurri, and explore the market and deli to see what other goodies they have.
