Their causa acevichada is a MUST!! It's so beautifully plated and it's also delicious! When I'm craving Peruvian ceviche this is the place I come to. Service is excellent. They're always busy but I never get rushed out. Friendly staff. Inside has a decent amount of seating but can get busy at meal times. @octrailsandtreats on IG for more eats!

Wow, I've been to so many cevicherias, and this was by far my favorite. The ceviche was on point--a little bit spicy, but really good. Must try!

My daughter and I were in Anaheim getting our nails done and wanted to find somewhere new nearby for dinner. Since we had never tried Peruvian food before, we decided to give this place a try -- and we're so glad we did! As soon as we walked in, we noticed the ocean-inspired décor -- seashore elements, fish, seashells, and fishing nets on the walls. It gave the restaurant an exotic charm and made the cozy space feel warm and inviting. We ordered the signature Ceviche 19, Pulpo a la Parrilla, Arroz con Mariscos, and Tamal -- definitely more than enough food for the two of us, but we wanted to try a variety of dishes. The food arrived surprisingly quickly. The moment we saw the generous portions and smelled the aromas, I had a feeling we had found a hidden gem. Every dish tasted delicious, and some flavors even reminded me of food we enjoyed in Spain. It's honestly hard to pick a favorite because everything was so good. The ceviche came with such generous portions of fish -- it felt like fillets from an entire fish! The Pulpo a la Parrilla was unique and beautifully prepared, with a variety of vegetables including tomatoes, potatoes, green onions, and huge Peruvian corn. The Arroz con Mariscos was rich and flavorful, and the seafood tasted incredibly fresh. We would definitely recommend this place and look forward to bringing family and friends back to try it!

Ordered the Ceviche Clasico and it was amazing! Tangy, salty and full of flavor! Different textures with every bite. Theres sweet potato in it and it surprisingly elevated the dish. Ordered it with medium spice and its perfect and a manageable spice level. Ordered tallarin de Cameron with huancaina. Never had it before and it was good! Its a creamy, kinda nutty, spicy sauce. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and had a charbroiled taste. Lastly got the chaufa de mariscos; similar to an Asian fried rice. The dish is is drizzled with a sweet sauce. Its a little sweeter than I'm used to but still good. Plenty of seafood like shrimp, calamari and mussels; all cooked to perfection. Plenty of seating, well lit and cute decor. Staff was attentive and politely, frequently removing dirty dishes.

We have tried Peruvian food from Miami, SF Bay Area and now here. And Ceviche 19 is by far our favorite. Flavors are super well balanced like home meals from Granma! The waiter was super knowledgeable because our son has Gluten sensitivity and guide us through the ingredients. Very knowledgeable! And made us feel safe. Soy sauce is our biggest hidden ingredient in Peruvian dishes. And the place is so lovely, the decoration is great. Great place to come with family!

Best Peruvian in town IMO. Already been twice and Eli our server is one of the best. Ambiance is nice- small place - they are so kind and accommodating. I highly recommend their chaufa mixto. The Aji verde salsa is a bit too mayo'ey but the rest of the food- amazing !

Wanna start off by saying it speaks volume when an owner takes a time to address even the minor things. The ceviche mixto picante buenaso. The ambience of the restaurant and the different styles of plating elevates this restaurant above other ones. Gracias ceviche 19. Chèvre

Piqueo Fragata (fish ceviche, arroz con mariscos, and chicharron de pescado)

Great spot for Peruvian food! Not too crowded on a Friday for dinner. They have some booths or regular table seating as well. For our appetizer, we got the Piqueo Fragata, a sampler of three different dishes--fish ceviche, arroz con mariscos, and chicharron de pescado. Perfect for me, since I like to try a little bit of everything. I really enjoyed the ceviche! It taste fresh, and the leche de tigre sauce it was in made it tart and refreshing. The Arroz con Mariscos was good too, it had shrimp and squid mixed in. The Chicharron de Pescado was a fried fish served with one piece of yucca. It wasn't that flavorful...I thought this one was just ok out of the three. We also got the Tallarin Verde for our entree. The pasta has a traditional Peruvian pesto, which is a striking green color! This also comes with a pretty large grilled chicken cutlet that appears to be pounded until thin. While the pasta wasn't as flavorful as I was expecting it to be, the sauce on the chicken was tasty and balanced out the flavor when you ate both together.

My husband's friend highly recommended this restaurant to us. He raved about its delicious food and generous portions, especially since he's Peruvian and knows authentic Peruvian cuisine. We were thrilled to try it, especially since he's Peruvian and knows authentic Peruvian food. Keep in mind that the restaurant opens at 12 p.m. We arrived a few minutes before they opened, so we had to wait outside. There were two other families waiting outside as well. Once the restaurant opened, we were seated promptly. Although the restaurant is not large, it still has ample space and tables. Our waiter, Johan, brought over the menus, and we decided to share a few dishes. We started with the Lomo Saltado, a stir-fried steak dish with rice and fried potatoes. It was coated in a flavorful sauce made with soy sauce, onions, and tomatoes. The next plate we ordered was the chaufa de mariscos, a fried rice dish with a medley of seafood. As a side, we opted for sweet plantains. Everything tasted incredibly delicious! The flavors were bursting, and everything was freshly prepared. My kids enjoyed their fried chicken and fries as well.

This place is clean with a well-decorated interior. The staff is nice and very helpful. We ordered saltado mixto, tallarin huancaina/ verde with shrimp, and churros with lucuma ice cream for desssert. Saltado Mixto- You get stir-fried beef, chicken, and shrimp in a tasty soy based sauce with onions, tomatoes, and fries served over rice. The meat was tender and flavorful. The fries give the dish extra bulk and texture. Tallarin Huancaina/ Verde with Shrimp- This is a pasta dish with a cheese-based sauce with yellow peppers. It's a lovely blend of creamy with the mildest of kicks. Paired beautifully with shrimp. Absolutely delicious! Churros with Lucuma Ice Cream- A sweet way to end the meal! The lucuma ice cream was rich and custardy. It paired wonderfully with the hot, cinnamon sugar churros. Couldn't get enough of this one!

Not my favorite Peruvian restaurant but I only come here because my uncle likes the ceviche here. Which it is good to. Well the one that he got this day. He said the other ones weren't as good as this one. What I didn't like.... That they brought out my uncle's ceviche first and we waiting awhile for my plate. That's my uncle's pet peeve. Not getting our food at the same time. I understand cold food comes out first. But they didn't have to bring it at once. They should've brought it all out together. The tallarín a la huancaina was spicy. No where on the menu did say it was spicy. I wouldn't have gotten it if it was. The server never came to ask if everything was OK after we got our dishes. He didn't ask if you needed anything. I had to ask him for a spoon. I had to ask him for the water. Overall service and food can be better. It's nothing to hype, it's not a place I will take people to eat from out of town. The chicha morada was soooo good that I loved. I wanted anticuchos and they didn't have any of the cows heart that day. What I did HATE was that they had a dog in the restaurant. I understand if it was a service dog, but this dog would not stop barking. It was so annoying. I was going to complain, but the owner of the dog left a couple minutes after.

Come for the ceviche! It's excellent and a true 5 star experience. This ceviche is prepared Peruvian style, which is my all time favorite prep. The serving was very generous. The fish was very fresh and delicate, marinated in that amazing lime sauce with secret spices, and served with all the authentic side tidbits that make Peruvian so unique: hominy, sweet potato, pickled onions, cilantro, and my personal favorite, the Conchita (Peruvian popcorn). It's a very special dish beautifully prepared! Get it. But of course, the menu has much more than just that. So besides the ceviche, we convinced ourselves to give a few other dishes a try. Mixed results. I was surprised to find Grilled Octopus on the menu. What a temptation, but turns out, I could have taken it or left it. It arrived, sizzling, on a hot plate with lovely grilled, glazed vegetables. A beautiful presentation and I loved the caramelized veggies. But unfortunately, the octopus was not tender, rather chewy and under seasoned. I have had better. I would give this a Pass. The Lomo Saltado was not one of our favorites either, but not without appreciating the excellent quality of the meat. Very tender, cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, it was the French fried potatoes. They were not crispy and missing the amazing flavor we have been accustomed to, of a good frying oil. They were just soggy, and the saltado gravy was lacking something that is usually rich and complex. But there is one more dish I had decided to try, based on several other reviews, that turned out to be delicious. The fried fish. These were small nuggets of wonderfully tender, moist fish, lightly breaded then quickly fried in a good oil. The final touch was the pickled onions on top. Delicious, very memorable, and one I will definitely return for. It really doesn't need the creamy tartar sauce, but a small cup of it comes with the dish. This was actually a fun, unique adventure. Historically, Peruvian cuisine has been heavily influenced by the Chinese and Spanish in many forms, so makes for a interesting meal regardless of what you choose. I would return.

I think this is on everyone's speakeasy list!…read more Make sure you make a reservation It is very packed. They offer bar seating and booth / table Follow the wall from Randy's donuts and Look for a wall of Japanese sake/beer barrels and head towards the restaurant - the rolling boil. There will be a check in host and stand there and wait (it will be located up against the wall with a big secret door right next to the hostess station) It's very New York inside. When I first came in Spring with the amazing, Karen, the menu and everything was great Now, I took my friend who was in town from Nashville and it was a brand new theme. It's the great Gatsby. Even our waitress, Jasmine was dressed for the occasion. I would say this place is known for Absinthe. They have cocktails featuring it or you can get one of the huge apparatus (huge and glowing green) which, if you are into it? I highly recommend. Just one of the huge apparatus makes one regular drink. Or, what Karen and I did, was split it and make it into a shot for the both of us. The waitress comes out and shows you how it works and goes over everything. Karen, who I came with, was a pro and knew her way around it. She showed me the ropes lol. Honestly, if you are here? When in Rome. Go all out and try it, since it's where they shine here. They took off a few menu items and added some themed drinks. ( a couple new champagne themed drinks) They have big entree items but I suggest small bites and sharing and mostly coming for the drinks. There's no bathroom inside, so you do have to leave the bar and go to the closest one (over behind Randy's donuts) and then enter the speakeasy again Both times coming here I've never had an issue. It's a small, packed place. And yet they still have the cocktails flowing and the food coming out in a good time. So the food and drinks are good Atmosphere is lovely. Service is good. Especially for it usually being very busy in here This place is located inside the Anaheim packing district. So I suggest hitting up a couple other spots before or afterwards for some more food or drinks P.S. it is very dark In here. They never cared if we used our light to look at the menu. However, they do not want flash photography They also do not strictly enforce a dress code (my friend from Nashville asked) however, they suggest dressing business casual and not too underdressed

I really liked the clarified strawberry drink, similar to strawberry and cream. I ordered a drink after that unfortunately forgot the name (photo attached with a tall glass) but there was no special cocktail craft taste to it. Just hard liquor taste and undrinkable :( the bartender kindly offered another drink. Unfortunately none of the food was the least bit good. Steak and fries was ordered medium rare and cooked to medium well with what seemed like no seasoning was on there at all. Crab cake was just ok and the slaw beneath it was drenched in a vinaigrette that was just sour and unpleasant. And the Mac and cheese, as we were very hopeful and looking forward to, was probably the blandest Mac and cheese we ever had. We asked the lady bartender for salt and she handed us, no exaggeration (and you guys will probably think I am) a salt shaker with 10 grains of salt in it and said "looks like there's a lil something you could still get out of there" My jaw dropped. But yeah. The shredded meat on top of the Mac and cheese was cooked beyond the point of edible. That one was unfortunately sent back bc we just couldn't eat it. We were bummed over all mostly about the food.

I didn't realize I was at the wrong place until I looked at the menu. The two spots are right next to each other, have similar aesthetics, and are easy to mix up. Since I was already there (and starving), I decided to stay. The spooky decor is totally my vibe, so I was happy to give it a shot. The food was decent not bad by any means, but it didn't have that wow factor. I've definitely had better steaks and mac & cheese, but everything was cooked fine and tasted good. The drinks were solid, and I liked the cocktail selection. What really impressed me was the happy hour. BOGO drinks plus two free sides with the steak is a pretty great deal these days. The steak was a little pricey for the quality, but honestly, what isn't expensive anymore.... Service was good. My waitress was attentive, though to be fair I was the only customer there at the time. My only real complaint is that the place felt a little quiet. With the spooky theme, some music would really help set the mood and elevate the atmosphere. Overall, this ended up being a pleasant surprise. I'd recommend it for food and drinks, and I personally enjoyed it much more than Villains Brewery (you can read my review on that one... no bueno). Not sure if the two businesses are connected, but I had a good experience at one and a bad experience at the other. ‍

Not only was he the best server we've had since we started dining at Puesto, but I'd go so far as to say he was one of the best servers I've ever had anywhere. Scotty had a calm, understated demeanor that was part of his charm. He was genuine, attentive, extraordinarily kind, and somehow managed to keep my Diet Coke with lime full the entire evening. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and was always there at just the right moment. Best of all, he laughed at my dad jokes. While the food was outstanding, Scotty made the experience even better. His service elevated an already great meal into an exceptional evening. We will absolutely be requesting Scotty's section every time we visit Puesto Anaheim.

We had the chicken taquitos, potato flautas, short rib enchilada, steak taco, fried fish taco, carnitas and the chicken tacos! The only thing that took away a star because we had to stand and wait for 15 minutes to be sat. We had a reservation that I made five days ago. They say other parties before us and we had to still stand and wait even with a reservation The restaurant itself is so beautiful! Great spot for dinner with the family!

It was 5 o'clock somewhere lol…read more This bar has prime real estate inside the great, Anaheim packing district. (The Anaheim packing district has private parking and it's easy to find a spot during the week. On the weekend, it's another story) You basically run right into the hammer bar when you enter from the main entrance. It's nothing fancy, gives off hipster vibes and is cool without trying to be cool. The two bartenders Josh and Xavier were amazing I came here around prime lunch time. I went and asked one of the bartenders, since they do not serve food if it was ok to bring some pastries inside and eat them with my drink. (There's a pastry place right next to the hammer bar) They said since it was a weekday and not busy I could bring something in. So I went and grabbed some food and sat there while drinking my drinks. They have bar seating and then they have hightop tables as well I asked them for some recommendations. Josh and Xavier both recommended The zombie (kept warning me that it was extremely strong. So I stayed away from that. Even though I'm confident I could handle it) The banana clip The pool noodle (I told them I needed it to be pretty / cool looking too, lol) I went with the pool noodle -Plantaray Pineapple Rum, Rhum J.M. Agricole, guava, apricot, lime and cava. AND, let me tell you, this was delicious AND looked amazing 10/10 Then I went with the banana clip- Old Forester 100 Proof Bourbon, banana, mandarine, cinnamon, pineapple and lemon. 10/10, I loved it To be honest all the drinks sounded great. If I wasn't planning on going to other places and walking around the packing district, I would have just stayed at this bar and had a few more lol. Prices were extremely reasonable as well The service that Josh and Xavier provided was phenomenal 10/10. They were friendly and knowledgeable. They answered all the questions I had They also have mocktails, beer and wine. I highly recommend coming here for a drink if you are coming to the Anaheim Packing district. Or stay here for a while. I could have definitely stayed longer and tried more. I'll definitely be back next time I am in the area (On the menu it says they offer gift cards. So it would be perfect for any friends that live by this place and appreciate a cool bar)

Great spot on the 2nd level of the Anaheim Packing District. Friendly bartenders, but they have…read moreseating around all sides, so they might take a little while to get you your drink. They were playing some great 90s tunes and watching them make drinks, talk a little shit, and have fun was great to watch! I only had a single beer (local lager that the bartender recommended) as I was waiting for a reservation at another spot, but I'll definitely stop here again the next time I'm in the area.
