Got a Beef and also a Chicken Empanada. Both were tasty. The dough was soft with crunchy edges. The filling was well seasoned and juicy. I tried both with the Chimichurri. However, I enjoyed them better as plain. I ended up liking the chicken better than the beef. Service was very friendly and prompt. No issues on parking.

The empanadas here are perfect! So flavorful and well seasoned. They are stuffed well and baked nicely. I highly recommend!

Five year update ~ Patagonia is still going strong! The place has had some remodeling done. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside has been rearranged but still has the welcoming vibe of sturdy woods and European charm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is a patio out front with a covered canopy and café seating. The owners are still always present and welcoming their clients, both new and returning loyals. Empanadas as still excellent quality and the imported sweets and home made pastries are all delicious. Happy to be returning again and again :)

Came here last night with my husband. We have been here plenty of times before for the delicious empanadas. But tonight we came and decided we were going to try something else . So we ordered the spicy sausage pasta and the prosciutto pizza. The pasta was in a pink sauce , it was very tasty not spicy at all . The pizza was very different . The crust is thick and crispy and it didn't have to much cheese then it's topped with arugula and lots of prosciutto. It was a great dinner and the girls working were very nice . [[HIGHLIGHT]]They recently added outside sitting, even though last night was too cold and windy to sit outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Oh and they have delicious desserts! I bought the delicious bread pudding,it's so good with a taste of orange and raisins and they top it off with dulce de leche and a delicious syrup. Great place.

Stopped by for a quite bite and service was pretty fast! I liked the spinach cheese empanada and the beef one. I wish the spicy chicken was not as dry but overall yummy empanadas!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Patagonia Empanadas is a cute little hole in the wall find. You don't see many places like these anymore.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered several items to try- 2 beef empanadas, 2 spinach and cheese empanadas, a chicken milanesa with fries, super lomo sandwich, Buenos Aires lomito sandwich, and alfojor covered in chocolate. Our favorites were the sandwiches. The og Buenos Aires lomito consisted of ribeye, lettuce, tomatoes and mayo. My husband said it reminded him of the lomitos he got in Argentina except there, the ribeye steak was much more thick and of course the sandwiches were cheaper. However despite that, my husband said the flavor was the same and it brought back memories. We also enjoyed the super lomo which is essentially the same as the og except with added pancetta, cheese, and fried egg. The empanadas were okay even though it's in the namesake. They were on the dryer end. The chicken milenesa was delicious, tender, and crispy. The alfajor, which is two shortbread cookies with dulce de leche sandwiched in between, was covered in chocolate and sinfully decadent. We will definitely come back if we're in the area. I would try more desserts and I'd probably get the lomito again.

My friend suggested to try this empanada place so we stopped by here after hiking on a Saturday. There were a few customers sitting at the patio tables and there were also some tables indoors. Saw sign outside the restaurant that it had the best pizzas so I'd definitely want to try next time. I decided to try the chipotle beef empanada. Took a few minutes to cook and it came with chimichurri sauce. It was definitely bigger than expected as my friend kept saying that it's small. I poured the entire container of chimichurri sauce inside the empanada and it was good! Although it kind of overpowered the spicy beef taste so next time maybe I try first without the sauce.

Patagonia is a fresh dive into authentic Argentinian cuisine. Empanadas are freshly made after ordering. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Feels like you are in someone's house by the homemade tasting dishes, inviting hospitality and family guests atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

What an amazing hole in the wall cafe that serves a selection of very unique empanadas. They also have a selection of Italian and Argentine food along with pastries and coffee. I just ran in for a coffee and discovered an unexpected culinary universe. The coffee was good, a nice medium roast latte. My friend kept on saying, we have to come back here to celebrate someone's birthday.... He really liked the menu here and the pastries. Parking is tight. I actually walked over from the adjacent center. Casual. Indoor and outdoor seating. Please come and create your own adventure.

I have been coming to Patagonia for a couple years now, and I really enjoy their food! Granted I only ever order empanadas, but they keep me coming back for more because they are too delicious! The shop is small but there is a lot of seating between the inside and the patio. I always see people here watching soccer, or whatever is playing at the time. It seems like a nice place to grab some good food and watch a game! My favorite empanadas are the spinach, the Arab, and the chicken. I feel like I never eat enough veggies so I get a spinach empanada and it makes me feel better about my dietary choices! Each order of empanadas includes a teeny little cup of chimichurri. You can get more chimichurri if you want to pay for a larger container of it. It is absolutely delicious and tastes fresh. The tiny container is too small for dipping so you'll probably have to pour it out onto each delicious bite of the food. That's what works for me! The Arab has a delicious savory beef filling with a touch of lemon that gives a nice acidic bite. It is a favorite of mine and my family loves it too! The chicken enpanada is juicy and flavorful, too. All of the empanadas are generously filled and just a couple of them make a meal for me! Then again, I don't eat large portions but I digress. The spinach empanada is packed full of tasty spinach that is well seasoned and I believe there is some cheese in there too. You can get pastries and desserts here. I haven't ordered anything from the pastry case yet, but all of it looks tempting! I have tried a little packaged alfajor at the counter. I don't remember what brand it was from but they are in a little basket at the register. The service here has always been fine for me. I know some reviews suggest otherwise, but in my experience, if you don't cause a problem you won't have a problem. The food is always served hot and fresh, the chimichurri is delicious. I can easily consider this place my favorite empanada spot in OC!

First time and last time here. Ordered 2 empanadas, 1 chicken and 1 beef and a limito sandwich. The photos speak for themselves. Sad, flavorless, bland, rubbery, meat did not taste fresh.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Sat outside listening to Latin music, good ambiance out there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Some flies tried bugging us but we waved them off Maybe keeping the fans on low might help?[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was decent, I don't speak Spanish so it was not as warm of a welcome as I native Spanish speakers get. I order the beef entree and then found out it takes thirty minutes to cook. So I said no thank you and the gentleman taking my order was very nice in giving me a free croissant that was delicious! We order sweet beef, onion and cheese, and ham, egg and cheese empanadas. All of them were sooooo good! The chimichurri is really good too, fresh and tangy.

First timer and tried the chipotle chicken empanadas. They were great! The sauce that came with it added a great taste and recommend to add extra. Will be back! Price was around $4 each I believe, my boss purchased them. Two were filling enough for me, they are a decent size.

The market is easy to spot with a big street sign out front. There are only two parking spots in front, one is a handicapped space. There's plenty of parking around the back though. When you walk in, you will see the main market with lots of items and brands I've never seen before. Slightly to the right is their deli counter with lots of meats, cheeses, and other miscellaneous items. To the right of the entrance is a dining area, and another counter where you can order sandwiches, empanadas, pizza, French fries, and drinks. I was laser focused on getting the chimichurri and leaving since I was short on time. It is in plastic bottles in plain view on on top of the deli counter. I purchased the regular variety, but they also have a spicy version. I could already tell this was going to be way better than the other two sauces I tried. I've had it on a steak, and on my breakfast scrambled eggs, and it's in a whole different league from the grocery versions I tried. It looks just like a restaurant chimichurri, oil based with lots of herbs and spices. I just had a nice filet mignon with chimichurri at a good Argentinan restaurant last week, and this chimichurri is about 90% as good. I moved it from the plastic bottle it comes in to a glass jar which will hopefully help preserve it longer, and store it in the refrigerator. I now have no reason to look elsewhere for chimichurri. My friend visits here periodically and says the sandwiches are excellent. I'll have to return again to try one, get more chimichurri, and explore the market and deli to see what other goodies they have.

Luckily, this truck's number was up, and I was down to try some Argentinean food. Would I be crying for Argentina after this experience!? QUICK BIO "The original Orange County Argentine food truck since November 2009, Piaggio's Chimichurri Truck has been serving empanadas, skirt steak tacos, chimichurri, sausage, and milanesa sandwiches, skirt steak and chimi fries, and dulce de leche to the public. The result is that Piaggio Gaucho On Wheels is delighting fans with taco, burrito and quesadilla creations, as well as introducing them to the lomito sandwich, the choripan made with traditional Argentine sausage, the chicken milanesa sandwich, his ever-so popular version of pulled pork, and the addicting chimichurri sauce. PURCHASE Asada Fries With Chimichurri & Fanta Orange Soda ($12.00 + $2.00): Grilled angus steak over fries, topped with chimichurri and dijonnaise/chipotle sauce, this was a sizable portion fit for at least two people...except I easily ate for two people! The fries albeit skinnier than I liked had a crispy outside and moist inside. The meat was good but definitely needed more of it spread around evenly and better shopped as you ended-up eating big chunks of it at a time unless you shredded it yourself. It certainly could've used more chimichurri as well as the dijonnaise/chipotle sauce as there was far too much exposed fries that had nothing on them, so I squirted Sriracha sauces all over.
