ALWAYS SATISFIED! I've been going to Sumi Lashes for years in Hacienda Heights. Since Alice came to Cerritos I followed her (she's the best!). Lashes last longer with Sumi's I don't know if it's the glue or technician or both but I've tried many lash salons and Sumi's is the best. If you're not happy they're always willing to help fix it until you're satisfied. It's pretty expensive to get extensions so it's nice to know they make it last long. They charge extra $2 for debit/cc use so pay with cash if you want to save. I usually get the "YY lashes" which makes it look more fluttery and natural. Size 10-11-12 is what I get. I have visited this location twice now. Once for eyelash extensions and my second visit for lash perm. I have booked with Rachel both times. For my lash extensions, I was very happy with the result! Historically speaking, I would often experience fall out due to my very oily skin. However, I did not have excessive fall out from these lash extensions. They held on very strong with the wind, rain, and water on my vacation in Hawaii. They were still very full until I unfortunately picked at them. I am now doing a lash perm for the time being. But I will be coming back for extensions for future trips :) read more

I found Sumi on Yelp and saw that they had a first set for $50 so I booked with Alice because she seemed to have the best ratings out of the people available. Upon arriving there was no one at the counter so I just checked in first with the kiosk and a few minutes later, Alice came out to greet me. She introduced me to the different styles and different lashes. The $50 offer only came with basic non-mink lashes and Alice said they tend to fall off faster so I went with the mink lashes for $70. I asked for the "cute" style which is longer lashes in the middle and shorter lashes on the side which I feel is better for monolids. The whole thing took a little more than an hour long to do and I fell asleep a few times. I could hear a lady full on snoring in a stall nearby. Alice was gentle but the glue stung my eyes a bit so I needed extra time with the fan. My eyes teared up quite a lot in my left eye. Using my credit card was an extra $2 which I wish they mentioned through the multiple texts they sent reminding me of my appointment. The pictures attached are from 1.5 weeks after they were done. A clump came out from my right side and it took my lashes along with it so now there's an awkward gap in my lashes. I don't think it would be worth it to get a fill because my lashes fell off along with the mink lashes. Although I requested the cute style I feel like it looks more like the elegant style. I got 11mm because I wear glasses sometimes and they were a good length. read more

Listen! When I'm telling you the retention is where it's at here -I mean it! The last couple sets I have been going to Hanny and I feel like she's quick and she is precise with her placement. I'm starting to retreat leaving a review because it has been getting booked faster than when I first starting coming to SUMI lol all jokes aside, they really are top tier! I have never received so many compliments on my lashes like I do now that I've been coming to SUMI. Now I have my friends and family coming to see Brian and Hanny. I got a microdermabrasion and aqua peel treatment done by Coco and let me tell you, it was amazing! I felt so relaxed and my face was glowing afterwards. I really enjoyed the aqua peel part because it really felt like she was sucking up all the dirt from my face and cleaning my pores. Throughout both treatments Coco talked me through it and made sure I was comfortable which I appreciate. If you ever need a facial, microdermabrasion or aqua peel done Coco is your girl to go to! First time to get my lashes done and it was with Aleia (not sure how her name is spelled). I wasn't satisfied with her work. She left a gap on my right eye. It's like she forgot to fill it in. Because of that there was a big space/gap towards the corner of my eye. My right lashes weren't even as my left one that looks more filled. I decided to forego the idea to complain about it after i found out when i got home in 40 minutes after leaving Sumi Artesia because it's hard to communicate with her to get my point across when i had a simple question so let alone having a lengthy discussion about her below average work. Though i was NOT satisfied with my lash extension because of Aleia, I'll come back to try another lash technician that i know can do a better job because my friend's lashes when she got hers done in November 2024 - her technician did an amazing job on her. I was so impressed that she highly recommended Sumi in Artesia. Unfortunately, my friend forgot her technician's name and that's too bad. I got my lashes done for the first time and Brian did an amazing job! He took the time to show me pictures and explained what the different style of lashes would look like on my eyes. I opted for the thinner more natural lashes and they look so good!! I wasn't sure what it would look like since I have a monolid, but I'm really happy with the results! Brian was really thorough and took his time and it definitely shows! There are lots of other lash places I could have gone to closer to home, but it's well worth the 30 minute drive. read more

Alice is such a sweet and efficient eyelash technician whose work is thorough, super neat and exactly as requested. I came across Sumi Lashes by chance on Yelp after being unhappy with my previous lash place (the lash technicians had a high turnover) so I was really happy to find a technician who was fast, thorough and professional! The space is very neat with beds separated by walls so it feels semi private. The quality of the lash products is also pretty good for the price that you pay, and the pricing structure for refill is fair. Best of all, it's so easy to book online! If I had anything negative to say, it would only be that there are a lot of texts and email reminders of your appointment, some aren't really necessary but still, I appreciate the communication and service!
