This is a small restaurant that made me love smoked meat! The meat is so tender, juicy and delicious and the servings are huge! They load the sandwiches so much that it gets pretty messy to eat but definitely worth it. Would recommend this place to anyone who loves smoked meat - it will not disappoint! read more

To get it out of the way: It was 28$ for 2 smoked meat sandwich combos and you get 2 massive sandwiches fries, a massive pickle rick and coleslaw. It was worth every dollar! The slices of smoked meat was thicccc, stacked high and seasoned well; it wasn't too salty SO GOOD. The fries were really nice and the coleslaw was delicious. I'd take my smoked meat loving friends and go back again. Definitely check this place out. read more

Been here a few times and a great way to satisfy smoked meat cravings without going to Montreal. When you enter, the smell hits you and the meat being carved on the counter entices you. I've come here during busy hours when it's packed, but it's best when you can sit there and enjoy the food. I've had the smoked meat sandwich combo and the poutine. Both were really good, but I really enjoyed the poutine. The fries were crispy, smothered in gravy and cheese curds topped generously with smoked meat. The sandwich and the poutine are stacked high with meat so they definitely don't skimp on the meat. The place is always clean and customer service is always friendly. read more

Read about this gem this morning and by 3:30pm I was being treated to one of the best sandwiches I have had in a long time! Restaurant was basic but very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. I went the traditional sandwich route while my son feasted on a smoked meat poutine. According to him - excellent gravy with some added spice, generous amounts of cheese and of course smoked meat. The sandwich was more than generous with deliciously spiced meat that literally dissolved in my mouth, it was that tender. The only difference I see with the sandwiches served at Schwartz's-the slices of very fresh rye bread at Sumilicious are larger! I'll take that. Highly comparable to the famous Shwartz restaurant in Montreal (that's a BIG deal!).The smoked meat is just so perfectly cooked. There are very few restaurants that can perfectly immitate other famous restaurants... but this place did just that. So amazing, I have so very little to say but in a word - exceptional! read more

Had a great lunch here! We just missed their lunch rush so get there before 12....otherwise there will be a long line and u will not get a seat as they have limited seating. Sandwiches were simple and delicious. We asked for a lean cut for our sandwich (which I know is blasphemous in the meat world!) but I like the crispy bits. Owners are super nice...straight from Montreal and has actually learned from working Schwartz's. Wife came over after and asked us how we liked our sandwich which was a nice touch! We told her loved it! Will def come back again. I would love to order a larger size of coleslaw next time. It was a great compliment to the sandwich! read more

FOODGASM. That is all. This place is so amazing. I just tried the smoked meat sandwich and the smoked meat poutine and they were the best I've ever eaten!! The smoked meat is tender, seasoned perfectly [not too salty] so flavourful and has a good balance of fat. The poutine was also spectacular because the gravy is awesome! The meat, gravy and cheese curds [Real cheese] are perfectly harmonious and the french fries are fresh cut and have a golden potato taste. read more

I was so excited to try this place out! And they didn't disappoint! I ordered takeout over the phone and food was prepared & ready to go by the time I got there. The service was great- everyone behind the counter was all smiles & friendly! (pls don't change once you guys start getting famous & the lines are out the door). My bill came to $62.65 for: a large plate of smoked meat plate, which came with plenty of slices of bread, as well as3 meat sandwich combos, which came with a crunchy pickle, fries salted just right & tangy coleslaw. As for the taste: I found the cuts in the meat plate were really good. I wasn't a big fan of the bread, and the sandwiches could use more mustard. This joint is a good place to be if you're craving smoked meat but don't want to drive all the way to Montreal. The owner worked at Schwartz in Montreal for 15 years before uprooting to Scarborough, Ontario. The meat is tender, and flavour is pretty good. I will say.... depending on your preference, this place is not as salty as Schwartz. read more

My brother in law told me about this place a couple of months ago, It was at the top of my list of new restaurants to try out. Although Pancer's and Centre Street Deli have been my staples for smoked meat over the years Sumilicious is a game changer! I had tried the smoked meat sandwich in Montreal and I fell in love with it!!! And guess what? I don't have to travel to Montreal for a smoked meat sandwich when I can get in Scarborough! Just 10 minutes drive and I get my hands on a yummy, juicy and meaty sandwich!!! Too bad they close on Mondays! This reminded me so much of Schwartz in Montreal and coincidentally, the owners used to work at Schwartz. It's no wonder why their smoked meat is so magical. We ordered the smoked meat sandwich combo which came with fries and a homemade pickle. We also ordered a poutine on the side. Everything tasted like perfection and reminded me of when I used to live in Montreal. The smoked meat fat was perfect and not so greasy and the pickle just balanced everything out. This place is amazing! I've tried several places that serve smoked meat. This is one of the best places in the city. Well worth the drive for take out or a quick bite. The smoked meat sandwich was the top menu item. The taste of smoke meat was perfectly balanced. However the smoked meat poutine could be slightly improved on. The fries had a softness to it that soaked up the gravy way too quickly. With additional cheese and perhaps crisper fries, it could be equally as great as the sandwich. read more

My name is Shalika and along with my husband Sumith (the chef) our life long dream is been to start our own deli together. The vegan Pani Poori OK again, but the water was way too mild as if made for non-Asians more than for Indian origin customers. Vegan Schezwan Dosa - we assumed it would be street style, made with veggies and noodles in Schezwan sauce. It turned out to be masala dosa with schezwan sauce inside the dosa with regular potato onion filling. The chutney and sambhar again very mild flavours. Family did have Pav Bhaji which couldn't be made vegan. They did enjoy it but again found to be mild as well. Hard to believe that a Gujarat based restaurant had such mild flavours. Have had Schwartz on several occasions and this doesn't disappoint. Portion sizes are massive and the meat is flavourful. A bit interesting that they pull the meat out from a cooler, was a bit skeptical about the cleanliness of that procedure but hey it tasted pretty damn good!
