The smoked meat sandwich at SumiLicious was amazing. The meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender, thickly cut, and full of flavour. It was prepared with just enough mustard (you can ask for extra if you want) and stacked high on rye bread. The sandwich exceeded my expectations. When ordering, the staff were very helpful and happily explained the sandwich options and combos. They suggested choosing medium fat for their Montreal smoked meat for first-timers (which I was), so that's what I ordered. Ordering was fast and efficient, though the restaurant is small, with only two sets of tables and counter seating around the perimeter. When we arrived around 1:20 PM on a Sunday, all table seating was occupied, with only a few stools available at one of the counters. After we took our seats, our order was ready within a few minutes. We ordered three Smoked Meat Combos, which included the Montreal smoked meat sandwich, fries (very good--crispy, hot, and fresh), a small container of coleslaw, and a pickle. Would I return? Yes, if I were in the area again. I'm from Mississauga, so it's a bit of a trek. If SumiLicious opened another location in Mississauga, I'd be a regular customer.

Off the beaten path but frankly worth the detour if you're looking for what's likely the best Montreal smoked meat outside of Montreal itself. A couple small gripes, though. The smoked meat that tops the poutine is chopped up too finely, and when asking for a fattier cut, they seem to just add literal globs of fat (rather than just cutting from the fattier end of the brisket as is traditional. Still good, though!

Excellent Smoke meat spot. Love the tenderness of the beef. Simple layout with a wall of all the awards. Service is excellent. Looks like a family run business. Great spot with a great sandwich. Gem for classic deli. Limited menu. So plan for only smoke meat which is the goal. Fresh and great.

Came here for their smoked meat and it did not disappoint. Really delicious and definitely satisfied my craving for Montreal smoked meat. So glad this place exists in Toronto! Bought some to go too and the staff taught us how to reheat them and it tasted just as good. Would definitely keep coming back for their smoked meat! Service was great and love their wall decor!

Finally had a chance to try after hearing from so much good things from friends and after earning the bib gourmand. Expectations were high walking into the shop, but we were greeted with an unpleasant smell. I am not too sure if it's from the smoked meats, cleaning agents, or something else. It was not my favourite odour. Smoked meats combo - Combo consists of a sandwich, fries, drink and pickles. Lots of meat piled on in the sandwhich, mustard was great to cut the fattiness. Was good, but not amazing. Fries were fried from potatoes, but not as crispy as I'd like. Overall it was okay to try, but did not meet the hype. Unlikely to come back again.

I haven't been to SumiLicious for quite a while but I've been craving their delicious Smoked Meat Sandwich for a long time. It was time to go! I had their sandwich combo, which included fries, coleslaw, and a pickle. The meat was tender and flavourful without being too salty - just perfect! This was a great sandwich and a good meal! This place has earned their Michelin Bib Gourmand rating!

This review has been long overdue. I live in the area and I went to this restaurant for the first time when it first opened. One of the owners was in and he was such a kind gentlemen and he gave me a piece of fresh brisket right out of the smoker and was one of the best pieces of meat I've had. Nice retro feel inside of the restaurant. I recommend the smoked meat poutine to any poutine lovers. Anyone looking for a place to have a great smoked meat sandwich should go here.

Really enjoyed the smoked meat poutine! The meat was tender, the seasoned fries held up well, and the gravy was rich and flavorful. Loved the melty cheese curds, those cheese pulls were so satisfying. Great portion and super tasty.

Went there after a recent review of the restaurant's smoked meat, coleslaw and fries. Very impressed with the quality of the homage to Swartz's as the meat was very tender and perfectly cooked & sliced. The coleslaw sweetness brought back some sensory memories to my childhood too. Fries were very good. Definitely returning albeit it is a drive from downtown Toronto.

This is my go to spot when I'm craving Montreal smoked meat. I usually get the smoked meat sandwich with a side of fries. The sandwich is stacked with a generous portion of meat and bread is slathered with mayo. This time we got the smoked meat poutine instead of fried and we enjoyed it as well. We also tried the salami sandwich this time and a side of turkey breast meat. Both were very good. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

Delicious!!! My 1 yr old baby chomped down too! Flavourful flaky Montreal smoked meat piled sky high. Sadly they didn't have the hot mustard so the choices were yellow mustard, Dijon or honey mustard. The fries were crispy with a nice seasoning but lacked salt. The cole slaw was the type I like, none creamy but acidic. Staff were all friendly who helped me decide between sandwiches or plates. I called back to inquire about ingredients for my friend's daughter who has severe allergies, I was passed around to 3 different staff who assured me the meat was safe to eat but the bread "may contain." I always appreciate restaurants who take allergies seriously as it can be life threatening. I only wish Sumilicious was closer! Please consider opening one in North York!

This was the best smoked meat sandwich I've ever had, and its not even close. The medium fatty smoked meat was the perfect blend of fatty and lean, seasoned to perfection, and along with the classic mustard and bread culminated into a perfect sandwich. Yes I realize I used the word "perfect" 3 times in that sentence but frankly there is no better adjective for that sandwich. Even the picture alone looked so mouth-watering, two of my friends had to immediately go try it and were just as impressed. Not to mention the fries - they're just the right amount of crispy and coated with a smoky / spicy seasoning, and go great with a bite of the juicy pickle served on the side. Overall, this was an easy 5/5 and I can't wait to go back.
