I ordered a large hot matcha moon with 1/8 of moon milk but I ended up getting a cold matcha moon regular and a hot moon latte with 1/8 of moon. I wish I had caught that on my receipt that I had paid for two drinks and neither was I originally ordered. I also wish the server could have paid a little bit more attention for the order. When I'm in Kyle, I love to link up with a few coworkers to work. The location isn't the quietist, but it the noise helps to not make conversations obvious. What I've discovered to love is that they have vegan options and more veg sweet treats than Black Rock. The veg toasters are specially from a real vegan bakery based out of San Antonio called Miss Chickpea Bake shop. The lemon blueberry toaster and the cinnamon roll is tasty. Not overly sweet, but subtle. I always get the matcha latte with oat milk and it hits the spot with my caffeine levels (since I can no longer have black tea). Matcha latte has its standard taste; earthy sweetness. The service is mellow; the cashiers are nice and friendly. There's plenty of seatings near outlets. The restrooms are gender neutral and always clean. Plenty of parking outside even a small outdoor seating option too. It can get fairly packed quickly during the week as much as on the weekends. This location has been severely going down hill recently. My husband and I have been coming every Friday morning for the past six months since we moved to the area. Recently they have messed up my food order three times. I love the banana chip muffin that y'all had. That was always my go to. However, one Friday when I went through the drive through they gave me a lemon poppy seed one and it ruined my entire day. The following visit that I had I again ordered the banana chip muffin and our drinks. When I got to the window I checked the box before leaving. The lady again gave me a lemon poppy seed muffin. I told her I wanted the banana chip muffin not the lemon. She looked at me and said "no this is right". I had to convince her of what I ordered for her to fix it. She the proceeded to open the box and then just told me I guess I'll get the other one. She was completely rude and rolled her eyes upon handing me the correct muffin. She had long brown hair and was kinda bigger. I believe her name was Amber? Right after that visit y'all discontinued the banana chip muffin. I only got two more Friday muffins after that. This news ruined our ritual. The coffee is good but recently quality has gone down. We will place an online order before arriving and then pick up at the drive through. Even with placing it 20 minutes before it is never a quick grab and go experience. The recent staff changes that have been added have contributed to us not wanting to show up anymore. read more

If you use the speaker in the drive through, be prepared to hell. The lady taking the order was nice, repeated the order back correctly, and was extremely nice when I got to the window. I paid $6.33 and tipped $1 and then received my drink WITH whipped cream AFTER my order was repeated back to me confirming no whip. I kindly asked for it to be scraped off and she apologized and said "I guess he didn't read" and apologized again. The guy that made the drink shrugged like "oh well" which for me, not a big deal bc you can scrape it off but not oh well for someone else. Slow down and get it right. I love summer moon coffee! This location is very nice & clean. Drive thru wait isn't too bad considering they always have a long wait. One thing my wife and I dread everytime we come tho is actually making the order, we always have to repeat the order at least 4 times, they repeat back the opposite of what we say which can be annoying but ofc we understand maybe it's loud inside and the speaker box isn't the best. But then when we get up their they still don't make the order right, unless it's the one guy barista who works their he always knows our order & will stop another barista to add the cold foam or whatever they forgot. It seems they always have the same person taking the orders maybe try having someone else more often, she seems to have difficulty & it could help efficiency with the drive flow & ordering. It's obviously not annoying enough to bother us not to come back but we always make a comment to each other like "here we go with these guys" when about to order bc it's just always complicated lol. read more

One of their local coffee spots. We came here on an early Monday workday and it was empty. They do have a drive thru and that is busier. I guess these folks don't wake up early enough on a weekday to hang out like in our area. The place is nice and homey. The staff was really nice and service was quick. Their prices are average and coffee is good. They do have a select amount of pastries but when I ordered my croissant, they didn't ask to warm it up. It's was a little dry, too. Love summer moon generally but the coffee at this one is particularly bad. I don't know what there doing that's different but the lattes are just off, taste almost burnt? The one is Buda is great and consistent which is why it's really apparent how bad the coffee is. If you're in the greater area you might be better off just driving to the Buda location. read more

I ordered a iced cinnamon latte but with no ice, however I was charged 75 cents more for no ice, at first I was like well probably because I'm getting extra coffee since I'm getting no ice, right? Wrong. My 16oz coffee went from $5.85 to $7.14 with taxes. And it looks like I only got 3/4 of coffee in my cup, about 12oz instead of the 16oz. Very disappointed. Not fair to the customer. So happy Kyle has Summermoon! In my opinion, every town needs to have at least one good coffee place other than Starbucks! Every time I have gone to Summermoon, the staff is so friendly and are quick with your order, no matter how busy they are. The space is small, but very charming! Perfect for a student to study or for one to read the newspaper.. I love coffee shops that have a bit more space, so that way there's some privacy, especially if you want to have a cute coffee date -- ahh but that's just me! I normally get their mocha moon or an americano (pretty standard) & it's always good! The only reason why I gave this place 4/5 is because the moon milk isn't my favorite (given you can substitute it), and the place is pretty small.. in regards to service though, 5/5 all the way! Sidenote, if you go during the fall, they have an autumn drink they are featuring... I didn't try it but my boyfriend did and he LOVED IT, so check it out if you like seasonal drinks. read more
