I wish i could give this place a minus of a star because 1 star is to good for them went there last night pick up a to go order i spent $75 dollars for my order i have a family of 5 and that is are normal price for Chinese take out sometimes more so place my order with the lady and say 20 minutes so i come back to get my order and i ask for hot chilli oil and homemade hot mustard one of each she say that will be 50 cents each now i think to my self this is a red flag back home up north when you ask for those items they don't charge your for them so i said ok thats fine so i go to pay i pull out my debit card and she says no minimum of $5 on card now she know i only have a card because i paid for my food when i ordered it at the beginning so then i ask her to if she can just give it to me since i just spent $75 and she said plain out no you should of said you wanted those items at beginning i told her i didt know you charge for them so she says ill give you only one choose and i said your going to loose a customer over 50 cents i told her i never coming back here and that you lost a customer that average order is $75 dollars and we order Chinese take out once a week and she said that fine then her husband in the back ground is saying to what do think we run a free restaurant he acts like i just come in and ask for hot oil and mustard and didt spend $75 on food don't waste your money here the service In horrible and food is absolutely garbage i wont feed my dog this food go support people that appreciate your business and your hard earned money read more

The food was not edible. The meat is hard to chew and must be the lowest quality possible. The vegetables were sour and smell bad as if they are old and possible rotten, fried rice is hard and cold and the egg roll is stale. No wonder it only took 7 minutes from the time we ordered it for take out to be ready. read more

I've only dined here for their All You Can Eat Sushi, and while the sushi itself is pretty good, the value for what I paid for wasn't. The list has changed a few times and now it seems shorter, only offering specialty rolls. While I was paying for my bill, I added up how much it would've cost me a la carte, I only ended up saving $1(three rolls, miso soup, and a ginger salad). Service was usual, sweet Asian lady with broken English. If I'm in the area, I'll probably come back, but I won't make the drive for their AYCE Sushi anymore. read more

I ordered food from this location about 4-years ago. Not a good experience. Today, however, we hit the jackpot! We ordered shrimp & Chinese veggies, 2-six count rangoons, 6-count jumbo coconut shrimp, mo shu veggies, fried donuts, 2-ginger garden salads, & veggie fried rice. The total was $88.00 w/tax plus $12 tip. So we spent just a little over $100 dollars for really great food. The phone order taker was very patient, took our order, repeated our order, and she said it would arrive in about 45 min. Well, it didn't. I would always order Kung Pao chicken for carryout when I lived in Florida. It was delicious, and the portion was excellent. However, I must say it was a bit pricey for what I got. It definitely comes with the area. It's very close to several very affluent housing developments. They also have a small dining room. The food comes on these really cool compartmented box-like plates. The presentation was excellent. If you're someone who lives in the area, or a tourist staying on Disney property in the Magic Kingdom resort area, this place isn't a long drive and it's away from the touristy mess. I am very picky when it comes to Chinese food. Just moved here from NYC so my Chinese food expectations are high! However I was very satisfied with this place. We dined in and ordered off of the dinner combination menu and it was delicious! The plates come fully stocked with rice the entree, egg roll and salad, well worth the $. The place was clean, the employees were helpful and attentive. The only reason I won't give 5 stars is because the appetizers we ordered weren't that good, very bland and average tasting! Got takeout for Christmas Eve dinner and the food was great. The wait took a while but that was understandable since it was a busy day for them since it seemed like they were only one of the few restaurants open on Christmas Eve in the area. The Seafood Pan Fried Noodles had huge chunks of lobster and scallops and shrimp and was so good! The Peking Duck was very tasty as well and the sushi there was pretty good too. All in all was a solid meal and the portions were huge so we'll be having leftovers for a few days. read more

I stopped by tonight and did a special order. I wanted white rice and curry chicken. It usually comes with vegetables but i didn't want any. Well they said they could accommodate that. Solid 3 stars. This place is not great, but for a price and convenience it is definitely a place to go to if you want some ok sushi. Definitely better than publix, but not your traditional deliciousness. The rice though needs some improvement. And do NOT recommend any raw stuff fromt his particular place. read more

I am disgusted after coming here today. Not only did our soup smell like straight urine.... but there was a BUG THAT CRAWLED OUT OF OUR SUSHI ROLL....AN INSECT. As soon as we tell the waitress, she quickly shrugs it off and says she will bring us a new roll. At the same time, we spot a HAIR in another roll. SHE INITIALLY TRIED TO SAY IT WASNT A HAIR. "that's not a hair". it was. she took the sushi away and offered to cancel the sushi and bring the check for the soups. The least you could do is offer to void the $2 soups we got. I am disgusted. The food here is good. It is. They do some pretty uncommon dishes too. That's why I always go to them for take out. But whatever you do, do NOT sit inside. Table service is a disaster. The waitress we had was an older Asian woman with a bob hair cut. If you see her, RUN! When asked if the friend rice would be enough to split she lied and said it was one portion. What came out was a plate big enough to feed three people! As she walked away from taking our order I watched her rub her hand all over her mouth before going in the back - hopefully to wash her hands. Because she carried the plates with her thumb on the edge, leading her to sticking it in some of our food. But it gets worse! As the check comes around she proceeds to GIVE HER SELF A 20% TIP. I wish I was kidding! She takes our cards, walks away and is gone with them for like, 10 minutes. I'm now genuinely concerned and am checking my credit card every day to see if there is fraud or multiple charges. I will NEVER order from here ever again. Not take out, not dine in - nothing. The food quality here has been dropping steadily. I'm not sure why but my last few take out meals have tasted the opposite of fresh. Everything is tasting like it was frozen and thrown in a fryer. I really used to like this place but I just told my wife I'm done ordering from here. :( As for the Sushi it was always kind of average. Did take out from here once recently and had their dinner combo with chicken wings, bbq pork ribs and fried rice. Loved the wings and the ribs but the fried rice was extremely disappointing. I grew up on Chinese Jamaican food and I've found American Chinese food to be pretty bland but this fried rice had no flavor at all. On another note the wonton soup and spring roll were decent. Haven't tried the sushi yet but the menu has a wide variety of choices and I'm hoping it's not as disappointing as the fried rice. ***********UPDATE******** So I went back today to try their sushi and had to lower my rating from 3 stars because I don't think I ever want to set foot in this place again. I phoned in my order from the take out menu and even called back to add on to it and when I went to pick it up the total was much greater than what it should have been. So I questioned the price and it turned out that the first two items I had ordered had incorrect prices and instead of apologizing for the mix up the receptionist insisted that I pay the higher price because that was what was in the computer. I should have asked for the manager at this point but I paid for the food anyways and left. Now I'm back home and halfway through my dinner and not only did they screw us on the price but the two orders of edamame that were to be included with our meals are not in any of the bags. This is extremely poor customer service and I will not be doing any further business with Summer Place. read more

We have been eating here since we moved to Winter Garden. We usually really enjoyed the food, however, the last time we ate here we had such horrible service I have to only give it 2 stars. We ordered food on our way home from work. I went and picked it up and it was ready really fast. The bag was stapled shut so I couldn't check my order but we never really had a problem before so I didn't bother. My mistake. When I got home half our order was missing. We had spent 45 bucks on two meals and 2 appetizers so I was pretty mad. I called them back right away and her response was come and get the rest. I really didn't see the reason I should have to get back out of the house when they messed it up. They do deliver so I said they should deliver it to me. I was put on hold and had to explain my situation about 4 times before someone finally said we are too busy, it would take over an hour and a half. I was really upset by this point and just couldn't understand why we were not being put to the front of the line because it was their fault! I finally got a manger person who was not going to budge. I had to pick it up but I said I wanted all new food since now half of us had to wait to eat. She agreed she would re make my food but only if I brought the whole order back. Like are you going to reuse my food for someone else! It was so confusing. I went back and go a whole new order and when I when I tried to give her the old food she just let me have it. So why did I have to bring it back, I felt like they thought I was lying. All in all it was a bad experience and I thought it was poorly handled. I wont be going back, because they are very expensive for a Chinese restaurant and if I'm going to pay that amount I want good service. On top of it the chicken dish we ordered had mostly vegetables and hardly any chicken. I also asked for no MSG because I suffer from terrible migraines and they must have been upset with me because I had the worse headache of my life the next morning. This is possibly the worst place to go to. We were very rudely disrespected for being a specific race (Hispanic). We payed by card and was going to leave a nice cash tip since they got us in so late but how they were treating us for not putting it on card they started to say as I quote "cheap asses" "this is America you have to tip", "this is why no one in America likes your kind". After we said we wont anymore for how we were being treated they started to rush us to leave and told us to never come back and physically pushed us out the door. And called us and I quote "putas". Quality of ingredients is not very good, doesn't seem fresh prepared, taste is low. Would not recommend, there is definitely better options that are worth driving extra minutes for. read more

Came here for takeout bc a few people at work said it was decent. Maybe I'm just used to NYC Chinese food but this didn't do it for me. Chicken lo mein was bland and tasteless, pan fried dumplings were actually deep fried, and the ginger salad was literally a handful of iceberg lettuce and that's it. And a tiny ramekin of dressing on the side. Was underwhelmed with all of it. :( large portions so now I'm stuck with leftovers for days, ha! I've recently started using them as my go-to place for Chinese food takeout, and so far so good! I am not a fan of their hot and sour soup (it has a weird sweet taste to me) but their wonton soup is the best that I've had from all of the Chinese restaurants in the area. I have only ordered their tofu dishes and the General Tso Tofu is the bomb! It's covered with some sort of a tasty fried batter and of course the delicious general tsos sauce. I've also tried the Buddhas Delight and Ma Po Tofu, both of which were good but General Tso will forever be my favorite since the sauce is addicting. They are always super friendly and it never takes more than 15-20 minutes for the food to be ready. read more

The first time I walked in was a couple of days before to pick up a menu. No one was at the counter and only one family eating inside. I waited a few minutes and no one came by to talk to. Luckily they had some menus on the counter so I just grabbed one and left. We ordered some take out to pick up a couple of days later. The girl forgot to get my name when I ordered so it was a little confusing when I came back to pick up the food. The food was okay. We ordered the beef and broccoli, white rice, and boneless ribs. I liked the beef and broccoli way more than the boneless ribs. I was really looking forward to those too since they are a must order when I get Chinese takeout. My biggest beef is with their hot & sour soup. That's the holy grail of any Chinese restaurant. Once pork was slimy in Fried Rice that we don't order it anymore. Today's order was placed with an expectation to redeem our interest in them. But none of the food was good. Soup was neither hot nor sour, Ma Po Tofu lame, Egg fried rice just okay, Lemon sauce had no sweetness. Only Orange Beef was marginally good. For our closest Chinese restaurant this is a No Go! I ate here only once before and it was pretty good. I didn't have a negative experience at all. The waitress was very pleasant. Tonight I did a togo order of sushi. I ordered a spicy tuna roll, 2 rainbow rolls and another spicy tuna roll with Tina on top. Although that was not a menu item they gladly did it and it tasted amazing. It's reasonably priced so you don't have to worry about going broke. The rolls didn't have layers of rice like other sushi bars which I really like.
