We decided to pick a dentist closer to our house and with flexibility in hours and weekends. First, their website easily accessible to book appointments and to pre fill the new patient forms.. The only dislike was a long , repetitive medical form.. Availability was offered within a week or two.. just to have the new patient exam before booking the cleaning appointments. The office environment impressive, clean and new equipment. Staff friendly and informative. The Dr. professional, friendly, and laid back. Apparently, my crown from the previous dentist was not placed correctly, (back in October), there was a slight open margin. So now a cavity is developing.. ugh... I'm glad he caught the error, (which was obvious in the X-ray).. so now I either go back to where the error occurred to get fixed, or just pay and have it done correctly... Hubby has an afternoon appointment here as well. We will schedule our teeth cleanings in the summer. Glad we Yelped Update :1/7/2020 Here for my 6 month cleaning. Lucky we have dual insurance. My appointment was rescheduled to earlier in the day, so I had to change my work schedule. I was shocked to find out after my cleaning, that the Dr. Britain was no longer there.... they would always schedule your cleaning with your dentist. But this time I had a new female dentist, and she did a great job cleaning my teeth. I think the whole office staff is new, so quite surprised after my last visit.

I was glad that Dr. Tim Adams shared my interest in not doing a root canal without clear evidence that was needed.

First can we just talk about how great this location is, close to midtown, middle of everything, still ample parking. Looked to be a former residential residence, the building has so much character. Upon arrival I was greeted and not too long after they sat me down and started the process. They offered a neck pillow for comfort, tv overhead with earphones if you'd like. Incredibly friendly and helpful throughout without the awkward chatter many of us are accustom too in the chair- you know the continuation of questions while they are taking care of your visit for an in and out, in and out (the instruments) type of experience. The hygienist was fantastic and walked me through some things prior to the dentist arrival. Post this, the visit was great, I shared what I hoped to accomplish in upcoming visits, etc and they were not only incredible professionally but so personable and helpful! They laid out a plan and pricing up front, no hidden costs and were helpful with the scheduling even with it being so close to the holidays! Actually looking forward to coming in for further visits and absolutely recommend for your general dentist needs to cosmetic and beyond!

And what I'm very disappointed in is the billing. They stopped taking my insurance and I have a secondary insurance to cover costs. They told me that they could bill the secondary after the primary insurance decided what they would cover. The office manager never billed my secondary, she would constantly call and text to get me to pay the difference. After three visits of "you owe us money" because they didn't bill my secondary, I was done. Cindy is very rude and snooty. She even told my husband that I still owed them $130 from a "really long time ago" when it's actually on $37. Even the voicemail saying "we've waited a long time for this" is outrageous to me. You didn't bill my insurance, you tried to get money out of ME instead.

The office was quiet and felt "soft and calm" with lowered lighting though not dark either. I was seen immediately and felt welcome and pampered as I was offered headsets to listen to my favorite radio station and a blanket to keep my legs warm as well as something to drink. Dr. Zeff introduced himself (very cute) and began testing my teeth with a nitrogen (nitrogen-like?) frozen cotton swab, heated water, different and tapping and finally biting onto a cotton swab to determine if the pressure of the bite caused a differing unpleasant sensation. Initially, testing indicated that another tooth had been the problem and he suggested that I decide later about having a root canal. I almost took off, but after a second testing, it was determined that we did, indeed, have the correct tooth. Next came the dreaded injection!!! YIKES! As soon as the cotton swab with the topical numbing stuff on it goes in your mouth, you know what's next... just don't look at it! A "little pinch!" Yeah, right. (Actually, he did a great job with the injections, all three... A+) Once numb, I was fitted with a device that holds a plastic barrier that covers the entire mouth, like a barrier, except around the subject tooth. Then, the doctor and his assistant got right to the root canal where they "barbarically" ream-out your nerve/root of your tooth and re-pack it. Thus leaving you with a tooth that will remain yet have no sensitivity to pain. He and his assistant were interesting to watch as I was listening to loud rock and roll music on the radio. They work together so effortlessly; she passes him a tool as he gives her the tool he is no longer using. On and on it goes. She knows exactly what he needs and when he needs it. At the end, he used a microscope-like device to look closer at my tooth, inspecting his work. Once he was happy, he took several digital radiographs and determined that the procedure was successful. He explained that I would need to see my primary dentist within 6 weeks to get a permanent filling or crown put in place. I was also told that I may have some discomfort and that Advil or it's equivalent would be enough. Plus, I was given 2 Advil in a small packet to go. (The numbing medicine has worn off at the time of this review and I am in no discomfort). The appointment was an hour and a half long and I paid (sit down- well I'm sitting down!) $1,385.00 for a rear molar with 2 roots. And that's not the whole thing! I STILL have to go back to my primary dentist to have a filling/crown done... another couple/several hundred bucks. "I wish I'd taken better care of my teeth" as they say.

I'm writing this on behalf of my sister. In September of 2025 we had an appointment for my niece to…read moreget work done, she needed a tooth pulled and the dentist was unable to do it. He referred her to an oral surgeon. While we were waiting my sister found out that her insurance was accepted here and got an appointment the following day. Her teeth were not in the best shape and needed a lot of them extracted. She was also going to be fitted with a full denture on top and a partial for the bottom. She got another appointment the following week for the extractions. Everything went great. She had a follow-up 2-3 weeks later and the hopes she would be fitted for her dentures. Nope. She evidently had some bone spurs or something of that nature growing out of the gums. Another appointment a couple weeks later to get that shaved down. A few weeks after that she was able to get impressions done for her dentures, we were now in late November. She was stoked. She was told that her final dentures would take roughly 6-8 weeks or so to be completed. She was expecting them to be ready by February 2026. 5 months in my opinion, is too long to not have teeth. She accepted that, hesitantly. But what other choice did she have. February came and went. Calls unanswered, voicemails unanswered. We found out that they changed business hours and are only opened on Monday and Tuesdays. With her being beyond fed up and frankly pi$&ed off, we decided to go down there. This is mid-March at this point. It was a Tuesday, they should be open. Nope, doors locked. Vehicles are in their parking lot. As we were about to leave a woman opens the door. She proceeds to explain that they are changing ownership and are now collaborating with Compassion Dental. She gave a bunch of nonsense of that they are trying to organize and get through heaps of voicemails and getting everything sorted. She also explained that we should expect a call from them in a couple weeks. We are now at almost another month and a half of waiting on said phone call. 8 long months now, my sister has had no teeth. This is beyond unacceptable, unprofessional and frankly cruel. There is absolutely no excuse for what they have done. They need to make it right. My sister wants her dentures and be done with this bs. Do better Value Dental/Compassion Dental and rectify the injustice you've put my sister and other patients alike through!!
