Ok, the review that I initially posted stating that service was excellent was based on that time. However, I went in for a cleaning in 2023. The facility was not clean, the technicians handled everything with the same gloves they were supposed to use in my mouth. I literally had to ask them to change their gloves. The energy is good and everyone is nice... but I would rather a clean environment and with mean employees... Sorry I did not update my review warning future customers that the standard have changed. My second visit wasn't a good experience. I was more disappointed because it is located in Summerlin. read more

I almost never do reviews but this is important. I am diligent about taking care of my teeth and have had no dental work except two fillings when I was in my 20's. Dr. West's daughter Stephanie suggested replacing them because they were almost 40 years old. Everything seemed to go smoothly. Shortly after that Dr. West stopped taking our insurance so we moved to a dentist a few doors down. He's been concerned about the fillings for over a year and said they had turned gray, which NEVER happens. I went to Dr. West's office and got a copy of my invoice which confirmed the fillings were only three years old and should be white. Reluctantly I had them replaced. There was extensive decay under both fillings (he showed me pictures). In addition our current dentist said that the previous dentist at Dr. West's office had removed too much of the teeth, leaving them very thin. Because of this I'll probably need crowns on both teeth in the near future. read more

I've spent almost 3 weeks trying to make an appointment using there website several times and have gotten no response. I have a damaged tooth that is causing me much pain, but no response from them. I have been in constant pain since going to Summerlin Dental. The dentist left the cord under my temporary crown. I didn't know what was wrong until I felt a string. I went in, and sure enough, they had to remove the cords. After that, my crown was placed incorrectly. I've been in constant pain and can't chew. Since they didn't have a doctor that could see me, I had to wait 5 days to even have my issue addressed. This has been the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a dental group. The office is nice and the staff is friendly. To be honest Lilia (hygienist) is the only reason I keep coming back. She's so nice and pays attention to detail, she'll take good care of you and tell you all that you'll need to maintain that smile. Lilia is the best dental hygienist I've ever had. My teeth are in the best health ever.

Had a gold inlay fall out while eating breakfast so I called Summerlin Dental to see of they could get me in same day. It was no problem and I got a 1PM appointment right away with Dr. Jacinta Flores. She and the techs were great. They took some more x-rays and photos, and then cleaned and reattached the inlay. She even flied down another crown that was too high and had been bugging me. The price was low and the work was thorough and I am very happy. I will be going here from now on since they do conscious sedation and I need that because of my gagging reflex. Also, they were very careful not to trigger that and it was no problem. I didn't even need nitrous. 10/10 will go there from now on. read more

I had 2 cavity fillings, composite bonding on a chipped tooth, and a cleaning. It only took about 45 minutes. They did amazing! With amazing prices. Everyone was so kind. Especially the brunette with short hair at the front desk and my doctor, who was a male with brown hair. I can't remember his name but he took the time to make me feel comfortable and get to know me. I have been a patient of Summerlin Dental for too many years to list but what I like best about this dental office is Dr. Gordon Murray. From the first time that I met him, we just clicked. He sometimes is slow but always does a thorough exam. I feel like we are old friends and we always enjoy catching up when I need to be examined. I have watched this practice evolve in many positive ways. I love the new location which is at Tivoli Village. I always have a good excuse to wander through the over priced shops in the village after my teeth are cleaned. Although their is a revolving door in terms of their hygienists, I have been lucky to have some great ones through the years. My current hygienist is Kathleen. I can't say enough about how gentle she is with her tools. I have always been nervous about hygienists using the ultrasonic scaler on my teeth but Kathleen helped me to understand the benefits of using this tool and now I am fine with it. She also is careful and gentle with polishing and flossing. In addition, we have fun chats which make the time fly by. The only reason I don't give four or more stars is I always feel like they are trying to make more money off me by trying to add more services to my bill each time I visit. This doesn't happen as I thoroughly review the care plan before I sign. I will cross things off or let them know I don't wish to have what they have offered done. I feel bad for the front office as I am sure a back office employee is the one adding all these additional services that if you wanted, you would ask for. Once Dr. Murray retires then I will most likely find a new dentist but for now I will continue to patronize this dental office. read more

I've only had one dentist since I was 15 and since my move to Las Vegas have been reluctant about going to anyone else. I met Dr. Schneider inadvertently at my daughter's school and decided to finally take the "plunge". I can't tell how happy I am about my serendipitous meeting with Dr. Schneider that led me to him as my dentist and his phenomenal team! The front office staff is warm and courteous at all times. Everyone that I dealt with treated me with respect warmth, courtesy. You don't see this type of standard of care anywhere anymore! Highly recommend this practice, particularly Dr. Schneider and RDH Lilia. Dr. Schneider is a wonderful dentist who takes a holistic approach to dentistry. He spends a considerable amount of time with a patient explaining the options, procedures, maps out a plan for care that is prudent not only from the standpoint of dentistry but is also cognizant of patient's financial responsibility. He has a wonderful sense of humor, ensures patient's comfort and welfare at all times. Lilia, his dental hygienists is the most knowledgeable DH I've ever had the pleasure of working with. How they got his number is beyond me, but it's also extremely unprofessional. He gave them my number, but they never called. Summerlin Dental and Dr. Matt Welebir have been a really great resource for me and my family over the last few years. It can be hard to find reliable medical services in Las Vegas, and make no mistake, Summerlin Dental is a Doctors office that specializes in mouth & teeth. I have great faith in their advice and much of it is preventative. It's amazing how much long term damage you can avoid by doing the little things daily/weekly/monthly that they advocate. They are also great in an emergency (as we recently found out) after a bad fall lead to needing some immediate dental care with no waiting. Highly recommend giving them a call and a chance. The office team is also really helpful in working with your insurance so you can avoid surprise charges. It isn't always the news you want to hear... but they work really hard on your behalf to maximize your benefits. read more

My experience here was very very poor. Here is why: With Summerlin Dental's office near my own in Tivoli I decided to go in for X-rays and an exam. The fee was $183. I walked out with a recommendation for 6 fillings and 1 crown at a cost of $3000.00. Feeling their diagnosis was so unusual for me, I went elsewhere to another dentist office for a second independent opinion and made sure not to tell the second dentist about the results offered by Summerlin Dental so as not to influence the results. The second dentist, who has over a decade or more in dentistry, amazingly found zero cavities with no need for either fillings nor a crown. Stunned, at the huge disparity in results I called Summerlin Dental back, cancelled my future appointments and asked for a refund of my $183. Lacking an office manager I spoke with their billing person Diana who basically said that these x-rays and exams are just a matter of opinion and so they wouldn't refund my money. Just as surprising the person I spoke with at Summerlin Dental seemed absolutely un-phased by my telling of what had happened in their office... that results were so very different... and that they had a very unhappy patron of their business. Who knows? Maybe this type of thing happens at Summerlin Dental all the time? I don't know, but where I come from we call this type of treatment a scam. I have had gum problems for most of my life and I'm 67. Lilia was so professional and provided a treatment that had never been offered to me before. She used individual tooth antibiotics so that I didn't have to take pills and have side effects for my whole body. I used to go here and see Dr. Murray for dental check ups and cleanings. I was pleased with my dental visits until I went and found Dr.Murray was no longer working there. The staff had changed and my favorite hygienist had left as well. The new staff were not as pleasant and I suddenly had a lot of work that needed to be done with my teeth. My Wife had extensive root canals, extractions and bridge work done last year and spent $5000.00! She still has pain and discomfort chewing and biting food. Total waste of $5000.00! Let's get real, a trip to the dentist is not something most people actively look forward to, this dentist and his entire staff redefine what a dental experience should be. This group is at the absolute top of the dental game, from the second you walk in until the moment you leave. You cannot ask for a more informed and experienced group. Dr. Welebir is without a doubt the most skilled dental professional I've ever had work on my mouth, and his entire team is not just warm but equally as skilled. Dr. Schneider is my absolute favorite, he's beyond careful, takes his time and has an excellent bedside manner, this doc is the real deal.
