Ordered a carry out Family Pack for Thanksgiving. It was fabulous! The food was delicious, the brined turkey & ham were wonderful!!

Holy Moses! The ahi tuna nachos are so good! I think at one point I put my face in them! The wings were pretty good too. The staff was cool. Dustin was nice and attentive. I'll definitely be back. This is by far the beat happy in the northland. On a side note I met one of the bartenders out and she had to be THE NICEST person ever. She invited me back to Summit Grill and made my night. Had dinner with my fiancé on 05JUN2023. After a long drive from Texas we chose the Summit Grill for dinner and boy was it the right choice! Ambiance was very nice. Cocktails were very refreshing and needed and the food was absolutely divine! We had the grilled Atlantic salmon and the seasonal grilled skirt steak with pesto smashed potatoes with spring greens and a side of mac-n-cheese. The skirt steak dish was 6 out of 5 stars! It was expertly seasoned and cooked to perfection! The pesto smashed potatoes with spring greens perfectly complimented the steak! The salmon was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. The gooey butter cake dessert was OUT OF THIS WORLD! It was sweet, salty, and creamy which left us in heaven after our meal! Service was very quick and efficient and the young gentleman at the front who sat us down was very personable and hard working! We will be coming back again! read more

Beautiful restaurant, excellent service, good cocktails. Mediocre food. Went for brunch and I had the farmhouse burger. The meat was so compact it almost seemed fake. I would never order it again. My friends had a breakfast Bisquit with gravy and sausage. The sausage was the same way...super compact. No one particularly liked the flavor of their food and I had stomach ache the rest of the day. Maybe if I go back I'll try something different because I do like the location and ambience. read more

Tonight was our fourth and final dinner during the 2019 Kansas City Restaurant Week. We know one of the owners of the Summit Grill, so we were excited to dine at their new Northland location for the first time. This restaurant is massive. It can seat over 320. The bar has to be over a 100 feet long. Very contemporary design. And it was packed tonight! There is no skimping on the cocktails. My Hendricks & Tonic was served in a large and heavy glass. I know I got my money's worth! We start with the exceptional Baked Brie. Our server Marni agreed with our choice. I ordered the Baked Potato Soup from the Restaurant Week menu. It was hearty, rich and hit the spot on this cold evening. The Angus KC Strip was huge, flavorful and cooked perfectly. This was a home-run entree. For dessert, the Vanilla Bean Sea Salt Creme Brûlée. You never go wrong with seasonal berries on the plate. Can't wait for our return visit. My son brought me to dinner at Summit and the food and service was excellent! I had a hard time with the surrounding table noise, it was during happy hour and people were very happy! Delicious food and friendly staff made it a great experience. Everything here is phenomenal. You can't go wrong with anything. My husband has only ever ordered the dry rub burger with fries - because it's just that good. The Asian chicken salad is the best salad I've ever had. Their house margarita is incredible - perfect amount of sweet, sour, & tequila. Stopped here for brunch on Sunday. Had never been but it was recommended on yelp for brunch. I had seen the place before but didn't think it was anything special and it looked tiny. Boy was I wrong! This place is huge and very nicely decorated and upscale-like. It wasn't too busy but wasn't dead, we came around 215. Our server was very nice and attentive. We each started with a mimosa. They were each good but small. However the food was amazing!! Very fresh and hot. I had the ultimate omelette, my SO had the breakfast tacos, both meals came with a good amount of breakfast potatoes. I have no complaints and liked they had a patio area since there aren't many in the northland even though we didn't sit out there. I hear their lunch and dinner is great along with a really good happy hour that is DAILY! I really don't know how to start this review. I've heard such great things about this place. A friend spontaneously came to town so I suggested this place since it's local, we live close by and we hadn't been yet. We had to wait 15 minutes to be seated which seems to always be a good sign on a Thursday night- means must be good right? The service was terrible. We tried to give this guy the benefit of the doubt that maybe he was new but dang! We had to get our own silverware off another table when our appetizer came out along with small plates. We had to ask for refills multiple times because he kept forgetting. It took 25 minutes to get our appetizers- a chopped salad and spinach dip... they were delicious thankfully. We got seated at 6:40 and got our food at 8ish... we asked for to go boxes right when we got our food because we didn't want to wait another 15 minutes to get those. We had our card ready to pay for the next time he came around bc we had a toddler with us and didn't expect to be at a restaurant for 2 hours! Our entrees were mediocre. I got the stuffed salmon. I had asked for no Brie but he came back to let me know they couldn't do that so I said go ahead and I'll try it- he assured me if I didn't like it that he would get me something else. and it said it came with shrimp... there were no shrimp on my plate and he never came back to ask how our food was... I got a side of mushrooms instead of the vegetables bc I love mushrooms that much.... I've never had mushrooms I didn't like until today :( they were awful. The seafood Mac n cheese my friend said was decent, he was glad we got the appetizers bc those filled us up. Not a single complaint! This is my new happy hour spot! I had the roast beef sliders and spinach dip. The roast was so tender and well seasoned. The bun it was served on was the star of the show! My husband had the lobster stuffed salmon, the kids had the tenders and fries, and I had a wedge. Everything was piping hot and cooked to perfection. I have now been to all the Summit Grill locations and have nothing but great thing to say! Made it up north for KC Restaurant Week and once again left more then satisfied with a smile on my face. Somewhere in between upscale casual and fine dining. Clean, classy decor with a laid back atmosphere. Service is consistently great! And the food is even better. Brunch, lunch & dinner are all equally good. But their happy hour is heaven for foodies who like to share lots of smaller plates with friends. Blackened mahi fish tacos that almost have too much meat! Great wings, truffle aioli fries and my fave- the pot roast sliders. So simply plated yet full of bold beef and horseradish flavor with meat that literally melts in your mouth! Rarely do I order chicken for dinner when I dine out. But their chicken fried chicken dish is legendarily craveable! And dont even get me started on their desserts! The house made "Candy bar" dessert and frozen smores pie are worth a trip alone! This was my worst experience ever at this restaurant. I made reservations for 10 people for my husband birthday for happy hour. I was even sent a text the night before to confirm. As soon as I walked up to the reception desk I knew there was a problem. They had NOT prepared a table for us. So to make up for their mistake they jammed us in a booth for that would hold 6 people comfortably at the most. I went to the manager who was very argumentative and mean to voice my concern. He wouldn't admit their mistake. Finally saying he would find us another table after being extremely ugly to me. 30 minutes had passed after all this back and forth so happy hour was just about over. He puts us in the back dining area where happy hour wasn't honor. Needless to say he spoiled my whole night and upset my guest. I had to feed my husband and grandkids cause they had to leave but no one else ate because of the rudeness we were shown. We left and ate at another restaurant. You let 600.00 walk out the door. Firstly, love the ambiance and vibe this restaurant offers. Having heard a lot of raving reviews of their brunch, we ordered their "Summit Original Breakfast" which came with multigrain toast, bacon, scrambled eggs, hash browns and cheesy grits which to be honest was a thumbs down ; the toast, bacon and hash browns being overdone and burnt which isn't what anyone looks for in their plate , the cheesy grits were really good and we also ordered the "Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich" which came with roasted mushrooms which is a must have; really crispy tender hot chicken with jalapeño aioli and pickles all adding to the flavor of the sandwich and the really flavorful mushrooms it sided with. I'm so glad that Summit Grill is in the Northland, as there are so few nice places to eat. This is definitely one! I was able to easily make a reservation and we were seated immediately upon arrival, even though the restaurant was almost to capacity with lots of people waiting. We ordered cocktails, which were both good, and the only issue was my husband had told the server he wanted a second drink soon but she never asked or brought one. Other than this, our server was fast, efficient, friendly and accurate. We ordered the calamari appetizer, and wings and sliders from the happy hour menu which was more food than we were able to eat. Summit Grill in Gladstone has not disappointed me yet. The atmosphere was magical & our waiter was second to none! Calamari with fried jalapeños mixed in was the appetizer of choice.
