We bought a LG French door refrigerator from this store. When it was received it was missing The glass shelf. The manager said that he would replace it and that it was on order. It never came. I am a repeat customer of Sun City Appliances and I've been very happy with the service I received and the prices. I bought a dryer from them almost two years ago and have never had a problem with it. It still runs like new and I have really put it to the test the last few years so I say that with confidence. I just recently bought a washing machine from them and I am so pleased with what I got for the money I paid. I have already thrown some heavy use onto it as my laundry kind of built up in between washers. It runs great and I could fit both a giant comforter and blanket in there with decent room to spare. The delivery guys who came by were so fast and had me all set up within 10-15 minutes of arriving. Thank you! Everyone I've dealt with each time I've been to this company have been nice and polite to me. Becky is the lady who sold me my appliances each of the two times I've been a customer here. She's been up front and very nice to me the whole time, and I'm really happy with what I got for the money I paid. Wish I could do zero stars. I spent 900+ on a washer/dryer combo and a side by side refrigerator on 31 July 2015. It was not delivered as promised but a day later. The refrigerator was not fully functional as promised. I called the store to check on the promised technician and one came out that afternoon, said he needed to order a part. Since 10 Aug 2015 I have had 18 conversations with Becky...she returned my call as promised one time; every other call ends with 'part has been ordered' or we had to order the part directly from AMANA as your refrigerator is a discontinued model and it will taken 4-6 weeks for it to get here' that was on 17 Nov 2015. I taked to Danny he said he was the owner and that he would buy my 3 appliances, stove , freidge and dishwasher for $200.00. On the day of pick up they were 7 hours late. The drivers showed up with NO money. They took my appliances and was promised they would have my $200.00 in an envelope at 8 am. I received a call from one of the girls Becky I believe her name was and she was very rude and said she was delivering my appliance that day or I could donate them to her!! what are you kidding me, from giving me $200.00 to donate!!!! SCAMMERS!!! I dont fall for stupid!! The fride had 2 huge dents don the front, dishwasher is only 1 1/2 years old and she complained about a little touch up paint on the front. The driver had told me to make sure I call first thing in the morning becasue they have been known not to do what they say!!! BUYER BEWARE THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAM ARTIST!!! Potential buyers beware. It is worth the money to buy from anywhere other than here. We were totally ripped off. The inside of the store should have been enough to tell me that this was not a business worth dealing with. It is crowded and messy and looks like an indoor junkyard. Silly me, I was trying to save some money and the last time I bought appliances from a scratch and dent store (in Texas) it was actually a good experience. We bought a front load washer and dryer with pedestals on a Wednesday which were supposed to be delivered Thursday so my fiance took off of work to be home. They did not call, they did not show up. We left multiple messages and finally got a call Friday promising delivery that day so again he took off of work. Again no delivery. The woman got really condescending and kept calling me "honey" and "sweetie". We didn't get the appliances until Monday night after 7, they were improperly installed so our floor flooded while the first load was washing. We replaced the necessary parts and cleaned it up. About a month later the dryer needs some work so we call in for repair as it is still under warranty. I called, never got a call back, fiance calls and they claim I never called. It has been almost a week, the parts are supposedly on order but no word. We wound up selling them for parts and buying a new set from a more reputable business. Dealing with this store is like wiping your behind with your money and flushing it down the toilet. Avoid this place! read more

Becky went out of her way to find me what I wanted, in the end I got a much nicer set than I expected. We went in to buy a garage refrigerator from them and got told they would be getting in new appliances the next day, told them what we wanted and were told no problem. Called for the fridge the next day and was told is was not released from the warehouse but would be in two days, I called on that day and was told another 2 days,agreed on a Saturday delivery, they did not call all day, called again on Tuesday, was told it was ready, delivery for next day, agreed on time, I waited and waited since they did not show I called again to be told they would call me back back in 10 mins, I waited AGAIN, and called them after waiting 30 mins to be told it was just now being loaded on to the truck. When I questioned this Becky gave severe attitude, stated they got in trouble for giving me "such a good deal!!!" and then told me to forget the sale! I give this place no stars......I have been without an oven for over a week now. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER....and I can say that after working for a bank for 18 years. Sure they sell the used appliance but what they don't tell you is that within the 30 days you find an issue they will refuse to fix it. They schedule a repair man to come out, which by the way didn't happen on the scheduled date, because Becky has no clue where her employees are at. He finally comes out and says it is the thermostat, couple days to order the part and he will call us. Well the couple of days came and went and now it has been over a week and now Becky has decided to take an extended vacation and can't be reached. My advise to Sun Cities Appliance, Close your doors until you can live up to what your business is trying to do which is "selling slightly used but in work condition" appliances. Stop taking advantage of the people of Sun City and return people's money since you are breaking your own contracts. You should not offer store credit when all you do is sell crap. I bought a fridge, washer, and dryer from Glendale Scratch and Dent but the fridge leaked. After trying unsuccessfully to get it repaired for three weeks through Scratch and Dent, I got a call from the manager here at Sun Cites Appliance. She assured me she would get a technician out the next day, but when I tried to ask about compensation for the water bill that had racked up for 3 weeks of water gushing, she interrupted me 3 times. When I was finally able to ask my question, she informed me that's what renter's insurance is for and hung up on me. Needless to say, the promised technician never showed up and my calls were never returned. I finally got my boyfriend's dad to fix my fridge. read more

This business doesn't even deserve the 1 star...consumers do yourself a favor and do not purchase appliances from this location. Seriously, save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. This business is the shadiest, untrustworthy, disorganized company I've dealt with and unfortunately, still dealing with. I purchased a fridge and dishwasher over a month ago...3 weeks after my purchase date, I still didn't have the dishwasher and I got a different fridge since the one I picked 'wasn't making ice'. I honestly think they post pics of the nice appliances and don't have them in store on purpose. So after you look at a similar one there and buy it, an entirely different one is delivered at some point outside of the 'delivery window' by a sketchy, unmarked driver and then the excuses begin. I've heard everything from Becky who is the only person I can supposedly deal with. After the last excuse, I read the reviews and realized, I was never going to get what I purchased. Should have checked Yelp before going into this store. We were ripped off. Purchased a refrigerator on 05/09/2015. Delivered a refrigerator other than what we purchased. The one they delivered was filthy, beat up, old, no ice maker and didn't work. Sent it back. Becky said it was a warehouse mistake. Delivered the same frige back the next day with plastic wrap on it. The driver knew what was going on. He wanted us to accept it while it was on the truck. They had thrown an old ice maker in parts in the freezer section. We sent it back. Told her we wanted our money refunded. Has not been refunded yet. Although we have received every 'check is in the mail' excuse that could ever be made up. We will file court action next week. I am also going to pursue this with the Maricopa county Sheriffs department. Someone must stop what these people are doing. Especially to seniors. Surely what they are doing is illegal, this is past bad business practices. Absolutely disgraceful. read more

I purchased an upright freezer and not even 3 days after it was delivered it stopped working. I called and spoke to Becky she said someone would be out that next day. Well, that next day turned into a month later. A Technician from her company came out and stated his name was Gary and after checking the freezer said that it needed a new compressor and he would call Becky and let her know to schedule the replacement. 5 days went by with no phone call. I called and asked if someone was going to be coming out and said Gary said the freezer needs a new compressor. Becky stated "there's no Gary that works for us" EXCUSE ME!? Then back tracked and said his "REAL NAME" is Geraldo. I told her that I wanted a refund and for her to schedule to have the freezer picked up. She told me that I wasn't going to get a refund UNLESS I give her time to have someone try and fix it. I told her NO, I've waited for a month. I told her I was going to call my CC Company and dispute the charge. Becky said if I disputed the charge that the 90 day warranty would be null & void. I went into the store with witnesses OF COURSE and spoke to Becky face to face and a guy named Daniel. Again they pretended not to know who their Technician Gary was. This time I recorded the ENTIRE CONVERSATION. She said someone would come the next day and pick it up to repair it, that they don't make the repairs in the home and deliver it back the following day. IV'E NEVER HEARD OF A COMPANY THAT TAKES THE MERCHANDISE OUT OF THE HOME FOR REPAIRS. Even Sears makes the necessary repairs ON SITE. 2 days later Jordan delivered the freezer I asked for a copy of the repair ticket and Becky said they don't give copies of any repairs. And gave Jordan a receipt handwritten that the compressor was replaced. Sun Cities Appliances is very suspect, dishonest and their integrity is shot out. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE. Unless you want to be threatened with no refund. I should have read EVERY and ALL reviews prior to going into this hole in the wall trap of a shop. read more

In my 52 years, this is the worst buying experience I have ever had. The manager/person in charge was beyond rude. We purchased a washing machine. In three weeks time it started leaking. We called on Saturday and spoke with "Becky". She said that someone would be at our home on Monday to fix it. When they did not show up Monday, we called near the end of the day. She had no apology for us whatsoever and said that they would come on Tuesday. I sat next to my husband as he said to her that we both worked on Tuesday and that would not work unless they came late in the day. She then said that they would come between 4-5 pm. No one showed again. We called the next morning and were told they would come Wednesday. My husband told them we cannot take off work early again for a no show and that we would be home at 5pm. She said they would be there at 5pm. They didn't show yet again. Soooo, that evening we called her yet again. She said that "her guy" had a three hour delay and was not able to make it to our home. She said that they would come the next day. My husband I were infuriated by this time and said to her that it had to be that night as we worked the next day and could not take a third day off early from work to wait for them to show. She then said okay then but "my guy" won't be there until 8. So, we waited until 9pm before going to bed with a no show. The next day, they did not show up again. She said that she sent them man at 8am that morning and that my daughter was home but wouldn't let them in. Our daughter has been told to never let a stranger in when she is home alone. Also, we did not take I told her that we waited the night before as that is when she said they would be there...8pm. I told her that my husband made it clear to her that no one would be home in the day time to let him in and that he made it clear it had to be late afternoon. She then proceded to tell me that my husband was a liar. This hurt me deeply as he is a kind man. I told her that and her exact response was, "He may be kind but he is a liar." Remember....I was right next to him when he told her it had to be that night and then when she said okay 8 o'clock, he said thank you to her. Finally, I asked her who the owner was of the place. She told me the owner paid no attention to the store but that his name was Alan LaPierre and that the only time we could catch him would be between 9-10 am each day. I have called each day between that time only to get no answer, just a "this mailbox is full and not accepting messages." This woman, Becky is the most hateful, mean woman I have ever encountered. She lies and her other employees embarassingly admitted it. She makes promises she cannot keep and actually raises her voice to customers and resorts to name calling. I am reporting this incident to the Better Business Bureau as well as to anyone that will listen. No matter how desperate you feel you are to get an appliance, do not come to Sun Cities Appliances. I work as a Property Manager and stumbled upon Sun City Appliances about a year ago. At the beginning, it was just fine. Appliances in rentals are constantly going out and I would call Becky at least once a week to deliver appliances. I disregarded how unprofessional she was because they were reliable, until recently. They were occurrences where it would take over 3 weeks to deliver a fridge, but of course it wouldn't take her 3 weeks to pull the money from our account! She would promise a delivery, but wouldn't come through. As a manager, it is embarrassing when a service call doesn't go as they are notified. My last occurrence, my tenant needed her gas range replaced before Thanksgiving. I gave Becky a call on November 3rd to order a stove and she scheduled a delivery the next day. Great!.. Except.. the next day turned into 2 weeks. And when they showed up, they delivered an Electric range when i told her THREE times I needed gas and we even discussed the different models. She blamed ME. She said I never told her it was gas which was just ridiculous. At this point I just need to have a stove delivered for my tenant. Another week and a half go by and finally an oven is delivered... one of the same ovens I had them remove from the same property previously. It was old and DIRTY. It was covered it grease, and not cooking grease but black mechanical grease. On top of that, it wouldn't turn on unless you lit a match to it. I called her immediately and she told me to "plug it in". The gas range did not have an electric plug in but she insisted it did and I didn't know what I was talking about. I also told her the stove was filthy and she told me i was lying because she saw the girl cleaning it the night before and she inspected it before it was loaded. She said nobody had ever complained about dirty appliances and I was the first. I also told her the stove was one of our previous ranges that was removed from the same property and she instantly responded with "We got it from Lowes. ALL of our appliances are from Lowes." I told her it was way too old to be from Lowes, but she insisted they were. Long story short, I rarely complain, but this time im speaking out. Becky is the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with! Constantly hanging up on me, very rude! She talks down to you, blames you for her mistakes. It is just a mess.
