I also purchased 1 gallon of white paint. Left store returned later in the week for more supplies I talk to different employee and he said the employee charged wrong price for both 5 gallon ($50.00 more) and the 1 gallon can of paint at twice its price. So I received a refund of $372.09 dollars. A week after I called home office to complain I received a phone call and was informed the this individual turned in his 2 week notice. So he stole from a customer so their answer was to let him resign and passed the thief onto an unsuspecting business and employees

It is such a chore to pull chips even having the name of the colors and the SW number. Ahhhhhhh The guys help, but I am not about to pull them from other clients just to help me pull chips. We are updating our community colors for our HOA. Thanks for being aweseme here. They have an app they can use or you called Color Snap. Downloiting it helps make finding the color Samples easier. I also pulled some samplebchips for a commercial job for my husband, which was super easy, as I was searching by color to match an object, not by name and number. More expensive, but they have good product lines and commercial tends to lean towards them more at this time because of their quality compared to other brands.

I had a small used plumbing part in my hand and knew I just need to go in, match the size and color to what they have on display on wall hooks, checkout and leave. As got out of my vehicle near the front door . . . again, at 5:54 pm . . . an employee who was wheeling products sitting outside on the sidewalk into the store said they are closing. I showed him the used part I had in my hand and said I just need to run in and grab it off a wall hook display, purchase it and leave. He emphasized their need to close. Another customer drove up after me and parked next to me, then entered Sunwest True Value behind me. I ignored the snarky employee, went to the plumbing section, could not find what I needed in the size and color I needed and began leaving at 5:56 pm. Instead, when I turned around the snarky employee who was closing the store at 5:54 pm was behind me. He had followed me. I explained they did not have what I needed, therefore I said I need to get out of here because they close at 6:00 pm. The snarky employee instead insisted on looking at what I had and began searching on the wall hooks for the part I needed. I reminded him the store is closing at 6:00 pm, they do not have the part that I need, so I need to leave. He said, 'Well, I'm here to help you'. I explained they do not have it, reminded him they close at 6:00 pm, but he still insisted. So I stood there while he searched the same display I had just searched. He turned around and said to me they do not have what I need. He followed me back to the front door telling me where I can alternatively go find the part that I needed somewhere else or something like that. As I walked by the cashier, the customer that arrived after me had also already found what they came for, was paying for it and then exited out behind me. I was pleased I was able to at least distract the snarky employee so the other customer could get in to get what he needed without being lectured the entire time like I was. I'll be curious to see if this True Value franchisee is able to survive based on 1) the way they communicate with their customers, plus 2) selling enough volume by closing earlier than their posted closing times. They should at least post their true closing time of 5:54 pm, instead of misleading people by posting 6:00 pm as their closing time.

Over the last several months, I have accompanied my elderly Mother several times when she has…read morevisited this specific Sherwin-Williams location (PEORIA-LAKE PLEASANT PKWY Store 727617) to purchase paint products and supplies. After my Father passed away recently, she decided to redecorate and repaint the interior of her home, beginning with her bedroom. This was a significant and emotional change, as it was the first time in nearly 60 years that she was making their bedroom entirely her own. My Mother has been a loyal customer who purchases the highest-end paint and best supplies available. I began accompanying her because, on several occasions when she went alone, her bedroom paint color was mixed incorrectly or she was given the wrong finish, requiring multiple trips back to return or exchange products. On one occasion when I accompanied her to return an item, the manager, Ryan, handled the situation exceptionally well. He was professional, knowledgeable, extremely helpful, and genuinely kind. His customer service was absolutely top notch. Ryan is 100% 5-STAR'S!! Unfortunately, the issue I am writing about involves a different employee, a brunette woman in her twenties with glasses named Danna. This is not about one isolated incident or misunderstanding. On more than five separate occasions, I have personally witnessed Danna being absolutely rude and condescending toward my Mother. Her tone repeatedly comes across as though she is talking down to my Mother or treating her as incapable of understanding what is being discussed. On my last trip with her to the store, Danna's behavior became so disrespectful that I needed to step in and speak on my Mother's behalf. During another return/exchange situation, while we were already discussing the issue directly with Ryan, Danna came over and inserted herself into the conversation. No one asked for her help or input. She began talking over Ryan and attempting to take control of a conversation he was already handling professionally. From my perspective, her behavior was inappropriate toward us as customers and appeared to undermine the authority of her own manager. The level of condescension from Danna has been consistent enough that I cannot view it as simply someone having a bad day. My Mother is an elderly woman and a long-time, loyal customer who spends a significant amount of money at this store. She deserves patience, respect, and basic courtesy--not to be spoken down to, made to feel unintelligent, or treated as an inconvenience. There was also an advertised discount issue. My Mother went there alone last week for paint supplies and was given only 40% off by Danna when the promotion clearly advertised 50% off. She didn't notice the error until she got home, meaning we now have to make ANOTHER trip back to correct this too. Considering the repeated issues she has experienced with Danna, I find it especially frustrating that she continues to deal with unnecessary problems despite being such a loyal customer. At this point, my Mother should not feel anxious or uncomfortable walking into a store where she has spent so much money simply because she is worried about how she may be treated by Danna. I hope management takes the repeated customer service issues involving Danna seriously. One employee should not repeatedly diminish an otherwise positive customer experience, especially when employees like Ryan demonstrate exceptional customer service. Ryan deserves recognition for the way he treats customers. Danna, however, needs to understand that being knowledgeable about products does not give her the right to be rude, condescending, dismissive, or disrespectful to customers. I sincerely hope this feedback is taken seriously and that appropriate steps are taken to address the repeated concerns involving Danna. My Mother deserves better, and frankly, so do all customers who choose to spend their hard-earned money at this location.
