I saw an RV listed for sale on Sun City RV's Facebook page. When I checked, it had already been sold. I politely suggested to the salesman, Christian, that they should delete the ad so it doesn't waste people's time. His response? He just replied with a laughing face emoji That's it. No "thanks for letting us know," no apology, no removal of the ad -- just a laughing emoji as if my time (and everyone else's) being wasted was funny. This level of arrogance and lack of basic customer service is ridiculous. If this is how Sun City RV treats potential customers who are simply trying to help them keep their listings accurate, I can only imagine how they treat people after a sale. Won't be shopping here. Bought a 5 year old motorhome here "On Consignment" they said. Paid a mandatory $2k for them to correct deficiencies and clean, then waited two weeks for that to occur. Picked up coach. Sealant on much of the coach was still cracked, not waterproof and coach exterior was washed (but roof was not cleaned, solar was filthy). There were still some interior issues as well, but now they said the $2k was only for "Safety-related" repairs. Got it home and found that the top half of the window in the main access door was detached. I checked online and found the coach was a NHTSA federal recall for the window along with a "do not sell" order because that window can (and apparently has) blown out at speed on roadways, potentially causing injury to other drivers. Well, they sold the coach to us anyway without even making it roadworthy nor disclosing the recall. As to whether it really was a consignment at all, I could not say. I never saw anyone's name on paperwork other that Sun City RV. read more

Our sales rep Johnny was so patient and kind during our search for a B class van. We spent hours looking, driving, question after question. No pressure at all. We went home to do more research and sleep on it. The next day we returned and reviewed two different RV and finally made our choice. The RV was run through the tech department and we were very satisfied with repairs made. Then the RV was over to detailers who did an exterior and interior clean. Final step was at delivery bay where Willie took as long as we needed to go over every aspect of operating RV systems. He really cares about safety and customer experience. Please understand this is based off a real life customer experience in the last 2 weeks. We were first time rv buyers and was so excited.. thinking this place was reputable.. no! They are dishonest, they lie with a smile, and then turn around with no accountability.. just excuses after excuses. They will sell you broken pieces and hide it. The black hose valve was broke and the tech tried dumping it and splashed all over and his face.. their fault for selling it to me like that. Complete frauds. Listed my rv on consignment, took them six months to sell it. Sold it march 5th its now March 22nd they still haven't paid me for it. Keep giving me BS excuses on delays and policies none of which are legitimate. Michelle butler actually yelled at me on the phone on march 20th, with no reason as to why I still haven't been paid. Talking crap about another 7-14 days. I have forwarded the contact and information to my former colleagues at the DOJ who are considering a referral on them. Bare in mind the purchasers have my rv in their possession. But Michelle is still giving me the run around. These people are criminals and I am looking forward to them being investigated. They still refuse to tell me what my payment should be, by my estimate its 11,000. The rv has been paid off on the 19th aqua finance verified. All they have to do is deposit my funds, but yet they risk a federal investigation. How stupid are these people! I purchased a 2004 Coleman Niagara 3895 from Sun City RV in March 2025. While the sales process started with decent communication, my overall experience turned out to be frustrating, disorganized, and more expensive than I anticipated. Before I even picked up the trailer, I wanted to confirm the correct ball size needed to tow it. I had initially purchased a 2-inch ball based on what I found online. When I was told the camper was ready for pick-up, I called to double-check. I was told I needed a 2 5/16 ball, but no one specified whether they meant the ball size, the shank, or anything else--just "2 5/16." This was my first camper and my first time towing, which they were fully aware of, so I trusted their advice. I went back to where I bought the 2-inch ball, and even they were unsure why I'd need the larger one. Still, I called Sun City RV again and two different people confirmed I needed the 2 5/16. I swapped it out. When I went to hook up the camper, I realized I actually did need the original 2-inch ball. I had to swap it again and couldn't pick up the camper until the next day because they were closing. I called four separate times trying to get a straight answer, and no one took the simple step of looking at the coupler, which clearly said "2-inch ball." Now, regarding the trailer itself: During the sale, we discussed how bad the canvas was--full of holes, didn't fit the door frame, and had a large gap that would let water pour in during a storm. I was promised by two salespeople and the sales manager that if I bought a new canvas (which cost me $1,700), they would install it for me. They did come down on the purchase price to help cover that cost, which was appreciated. However, when we did the final walk-through, two stabilizers were missing. The framework showed they had been there before, likely ripped off by the previous owner, but I was told they weren't replacing them. It will cost me approximately $400 just to replace the two, or $700 if I want to replace all four for consistency. There was also a leak in the shower bed. When I asked about it, they said the part wasn't made anymore and they wouldn't do anything about it. The most frustrating part? Despite repeated promises, they later told me they don't install canvases. I had to pay another $900 out of pocket to have someone else install it. In total, beyond the purchase price, I had to spend: * $1,700 for the canvas * $900 for installation * $400 to replace missing stabilizers (or $700 if I replace all four) While I appreciated the discount, the poor follow-through, the unnecessary confusion over basic details like the ball size, and their unwillingness to stand by their commitments made this a really disappointing first-time RV buying experience. read more

We bought a 2019 Thor Chateau motorhome in April 2025. Rene was the salesperson and was very nice, so we proceeded with the sale. They said they would check everything out before we left, but when we were into the paperwork they said that would cost an extra $2999 (or maybe 3999, can't remember). They still charged $999 for a 'safety check' to get it out the door. We should have walked then, but my husband (just over cancer treatment) was very keen to get going. We bought it in filthy condition, inches of dirt inside & out, needed to pay the 2999 to have that done, then Rory Fields came to talk about extended warranty. He told us EVERYTHING would be covered for $6500. I, the idiot, who never buys extended warranties, believed him and paid it. Big surprise, HE LIED!!! We brought it back the next day as the water tank leaked when we filled it. They had a guy check it and said it was fine, it wasn't, but they told us the warranty would cover it later. Longer story, we were staying with in-laws as we live in Hawaii, and needed to get moving. We took off, did 5k miles with a non-working water tank, took it in to be fixed, lo & behold, the insurance doesn't cover that - it only covers mechanical failure. What does that even mean??? I am now dealing with Rory, who went from friendly to cold & absolutely non-caring. He went ahead and cancelled the insurance then told me the insurance would cover the tank, but never tried to help that happen. I also wanted to know how much I would get back before actual cancellation. Buyer Beware, I do take some blame, but why can't people be honest. read more

I'll start by saying our sales man Jesse was great. Then rest of our experience not so good. Starting with 1. them cashing a 30k bank check that need my husband's signature (no idea how it happened, but pretty upset about that), they told us it was locked up on the finance office (only to find out they cashed it before said date). 2. Check engine light was on and they tried to clear it. They only told us about the def header being bad and that the whole thing was being replaced (which was not the case, they only had to replace the header) They did not tell us that there was an exhaust leak (that we found out about after talking to the garage it was sent to) They did finally fix it all after we said we want our money back. 3. They needed to fix the awning cover over the door, again they did not fix it and flapped for 2k miles and we fixed it ourselves 4. The fridge, they were suppose to secure that. Well guess what, they did not and luckily it did not break anything and we had to fix ourselves. 5. It was never detailed and took us two days to get all of the sand out of the rig. There must have been a sand storm or something and all the windows must have been left open. 6. They won't send us the paperwork for the work that was done. 7. The bed had a broken hydraulic jack/piston and they were supposed to fix it, nope they did not! 8. It took over 3 weeks to actually pick up our rig 9. I consigned my motor home with Sun City RV a few months ago. i priced it very fare and they where able to sell it for me. at that point i was pleased. they gave it to the new owner July 30th, it is know August 30th and Sun city RV has not paid me my portion yet. I would be very careful before listing your RV with this company. i was told it is under new ownership, but that I can't speak with the owner. I am a business owner in town as well and i would never deny a customer an opportunity to speak with me.. I will update this when Sun City RV gets it handled. read more

They saw me coming! A single female trying to get something to live in out of frusterations with my current living situation. I wanted something that was mine! They took total advantage of that! I was charged way to much for a 2004 5th wheel, they charged me $1375 for new awnings in which they told me later could not be replaced and never offered to reimburse me for them, the loan company told me about it and thank goodness the down payment never went through to give me bargaining room because the loan officer was a total jerk to me until he realized the down payment never went through. I used a $1000 of it to have it towed to Show Low. When I got it home I realized the toilet had a leak and had to pay someone to pull it out and am now using my port-a-potty until I can get it replaced. When I called and left a message about it they never returned my phone call. I was told after I signed on the dotted line I had no recourse, so read the fine print! They are car salesman for bigger units is all! All they were concerned about it making their quota no matter how they had to rip you off! Buyer beware! read more

we purchased a Coleman that had one ac, we had them add another and they botched the install. i had to bring it to another place to fix the mistake this was in the winter. we just took it out for the first time to find out they wired the ac Incorrectly and burnt the compressor on the unit that has never been used. Now the unit is out of warranty and broken. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT TO USE THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT HERE in the past 25 years of owning several RV's I have never seen a company operate like this. I recently went with my sis inlaw to purchase an rv. after reading reviews (mostly hi pressure sales). we proceeded further, WHAT A MISTAKE! After initial viewing out in the lot, I noted a few things that stuck out, we were told they would address them. We were also told they shop does a check to make sure everything is working and also do a safety inspection. Now the unit isn't new and I do not expect it to be, however what I do expect is that they do what they say they will do, every thing working as it should and the safety insp. So walk through and pickup day. drive 150 miles. one of the repairs was half*****, no cable to close off black tank (that was a major argument, told it would take a cpl thousand) BULL****, not hooked up to water so couldn`t check that side. when i asked the tech about checking every thing, he said they did. I also found 1 ac wasnt blowing cold.(he argued with me over that). led lights out side not working. and did NOT check wheel bearings. After 4 or so HOT hours in phx we left, without the unit. Two weeks later we head back. Its tucked out back in a corner, (should left) We were told all were done except leds outside, still waiting on parts and would send them. 150 miles later, set it up, open it up. One of the repairs they had to re-due a second time, was the base under the fridge, it failed AGAIN. the rear ac still not blowing cold (no Freon), the fridge only works on lpg, as does the water heater along with melted electrical wire. We did try to call, left several phone messages and emails to sales mgr, shop, and owner with no response. So if this helps ONE family avoid a disaster then i have done my job, and hopefully will help a lot more avoid a nightmare. Next AZ AG`s office, BBB read more

I waited four weeks just to get an appointment to have an estimate....Then after having my RV there for three additional weeks, they still never gave me the estimate. Only when I made arrangements to have my RV picked up did they magically have the estimate in hand that very day. Luckily I escaped without losing my money so do yourself a favor and DO NOT bring your RV to this place for any type of repairs. This place is an absolute joke. Amazing customer service. We picked up our new Entegra Odyssey 24B and headed out for our shakedown trip in the mountains. We were having trouble getting the levelers to work and we called just near the end of closing hours. Traci answered our call and though the Techs were gone for the day, she found Jim in Service who was able to explain the process of turning OFF the house batteries and then turning ON the ignition key of the Ford Chassis before letting auto-level do it's job. We couldn't find a manual and this just absolutely saved our first camping weekend. horrible people.......... Stay away from them we are extremely dissatisfied in your service. We had spoken with you people at Sun City RV many times in the month between when we bought this Motorhome and when we picked it up July 30, 2024. We paid your PDI fee of 1500.00. You were supposed to go through the Motorhome and make sure that everything was in WORKING ORDER. You did not do this, because if you did, you would have seen that the windshield wipers were totally shredded and the arms were all rusted out. The sofa that's supposed to turn into a bed, is broken and non functional. The awning toppers that we were told would be on there, were not. The ventilation fans in the bathroom, bedroom and living area are not working. There are non functional. The stabilizing system was un plugged from the control Panel. You did this so you didn't have to listen to the beep and fix it, like it should have been done. They are non functional. My Husband specifically asked you people to do a lube oil and filter service. We have no idea if this was done or not as there was no sticker on the windshield and the air filter was the most disgusting plugged and filthy filter that we have ever seen. The faucets were so plugged with sediment that water couldn't even flow out of them. The biggest thing and the most concerning is the fact that the tires were all extremely bad you shined the outside of the tires to make them look good They all had dry rot. The newest tire was 6 years old. We know this because we were on interstate 17 and experienced horrible shaking while driving. We end up blowing both dual tires on the passenger side. They were shredded. We were stranded in over 100 degree weather for 7 hours in the heat with NO WATER, we were on the way to get supplies for our trip home to Alaska. Your delinquency in doing what you should have done could have caused us great harm. Your establishment leaves a lot to be desired. Your customer service is horrible and you are liars. We have a lot of family in the Phoenix area and will make sure that our friends do not darken your door. We are asking that you refund the 1500.00 that we paid you for nothing. You did not do what you were supposed to do for us. You told us that you would go through everything on the motor home and that everything would be ready and safe for us. You failed . We had to spend over 3.000 dollars at a reputable RV dealer to get everything fixed so that we would be safe. That includes 6 new tires. Do not use this company!!!! read more

First I will start off by saying our sales representative Carlos was very helpful and kind. However, my husband and I were interested in purchasing an rv , CASH mind you. We set up an appointment for 5/19 to inspect the Rv before purchase, upon inspection we noticed the roof was black. Some people may think no big deal but if you know rvs you know a black roof is a bad roof. According to Dicor (maker of the rubber for Rv roofs) you cannot re-coat the roof once it is black. Meaning, we would have to replace the whole rubber, 42ft of rubber (not cheap). Dicor also says you cannot reuse the same plywood under the rubber so we would have to pay for that. Parts and labor we would have been in the ball park range of $10,000 to $12,000. With all that being said I told Carlos and showed him photos of the roof and he stated "we will just have them come pick it up because we wouldnt make any money on it" it's a consignment lot so I understand. I called back to see if I was able to have the owners number since I am under the impression they are going to have him pick it up and I was interested in it. When I called I reached Mark, he was very rude and unprofessional. How unfair for you to refuse to give the owners number all because you have some money into it. Mark stated "we would have to get paid on it because we have money into it" which is fine. Had he been nicer I would've offered to pay "Sun city RV" whatever they have in it. The fact that you would even have an RV out there with that bad of a roof is a complete scam on your end, just so you can swindle someone who doesn't know about RVs and get your piece of change? We had such a great experience at Sun City RV that a review was necessary! Rene was our initial guy that got us in the door. He was upbeat and honest which we really appreciated. Our deal seemed too good to be true, so I grilled him a little. Once he explained that they were a family owned business that didn't need the huge markups that corporations do, we made the 1 1/2 hour drive. Our in-person meet was great and we were treated like family. From start to finish, we could definitely see why their inventory moves as quickly as it does. Willie kept us up to speed on the safety inspection and any repairs needed. He too was friendly and very transparent with what to expect. We scheduled delivery and met even more of the team! Bill came by, Don walked us through and gave us so much valuable information on battery usage, storage procedures, etc (and his number in case we get in a jam).
