I found myself at this sun devil auto store because my car broke down to what I suspected as something wrong with the engine or something like that, I'm not too car savvy, but lucky for me Derek, the store's manager was there to assist me. I explained to him the problems I was having with my car before it had broken down and he gave me a list of what he thought off the top of his head would be the problem, his first guess was the clutch going bad. With his knowledge he was able to accurately pinpoint the problem I was having with my car. Sure enough, after the technicians diagnosed my car the problem turned out to be what Derek had suspected. He assured me they would help me out and give me a discount because of my prior military service. With Derek's helpful and insightful qualities, he was able to make the transition of getting a new clutch easy and pain free! The mechanics did a wonderful job as well, having my car back to me within 3 days! I was surprised to have stumbled upon a mechanic shop where I was able to trust that I was not getting ripped off. My truck will be 10 years old this year, it has never been anywhere else other than the dealer. I finally got fed up with all the BS and the over costs and came to Sun Devil. They diagnosed issues with my truck, and not only put them in order of priority for me due to my budget, but left me with a list of things that I should keep an eye on to watch out for so they don't become huge costs in the future. As opposed to the dealer just insisting I get things done. Their oil and filter changes are half the cost of my dealer as well. Have been a client of this location for years. Before my wife and I, my in laws were clients since inception of this location. Very much a supporter of sun devil auto. The service is terrific, Matt and Travis specifically. The pricing has always been fair and the re omendations never over reached or "sold up". Dealing with the folks at sun devil I know that our 1992 Olds '98 is in very good hands. Recently our car has come out of 6 months of dormi and the guys put us back on the road in great shape. My car was towed to Sun Devil Auto in Sun Lakes after an accident on nearby on I-10 on my way to Flagstaff from Tucson. I was overwhelmed by the kindness of everyone at the shop, especially Jeff Mankee, the manager. I got a call later that day to let me know that they had patched my car so I could drive it back safely to Tucson and get it fixed closer to home. I picked it up 2 days later on my way back from Flagstaff and was surprised to be told there would be no charge because they "just patched it up"! How so very kind of you. Update from my last review, I called them to ask more information about their legal process and they hung up on me 3 times and then blocked my number! What kind of ethical, upstanding corporation does that? They don't handle their problems, they do whatever they can to make you go away. I tried calling the corporate customer service number and found that my phone number had been blocked there too! Wow, this is practically unbelievable, but true! Recently brought my car in to get my rear and front brakes done. They were pretty up front with the damage and cost and it was extremely reasonably priced and they even checked my fluids and let me know the levels and what maintenance will need to be performed in the future. It was refreshing to see them not to try and sell me on something I didn't need. They did let me know my struts will need some work soon and even showed me the damage. I really appreciated the honesty and the staff was really patient. Would recommend anyone to give them a try and see for yourself how all auto shops should conduct their business. read more

We came limping into Chandler with a low tire, after a long day's drive. Unbelievably, we were directed to this wonderful place only two blocks away. What luck! Not only did they repair the tire, give us a ride to our relative's home so we wouldn't have to wait there, offer to pick us up, AND also checked out the systems and fluid levels on the car. All this, and repairing tires really isn't what they usually do. These are the super nicest people. I took my car to Sun Devil on Saturday due to low pressure sensor light on in my car. They offered to check the tire pressures for free. Taylor discovered a nail in one of the tires and informed me it would need to be patched. Due to my time constraints they repaired the tire and had the job completed within the 30 minute time frame they told me. I appreciate Taylor's work, personality and the fact that he was happy to assist me. Also Derek who understood my time constraint and had the work done as promised. I don't often take time out of my day to write reviews but after about 15 years of coming to the Sun Devil auto location on Riggs road in the Sun Lakes. I feel it would be a disservice to other people if I did not let them know how extremely helpful and honest they are at this location. I've had multiple cars from a Volkswagen Jetta, Mercedes benz, Silverado to a 1968 Chevy C10 serviced by them and not had one bad experience. Sun Devil has always explained the work and done exactly what they said they would do --- after comparison shopping for the work that needed to be done on my car I stayed with Sun Devil. The cheapest may not always be the best and while Sun Devil was at the high end of the range of places I checked I stayed with them. I have never had a problem with any thing Sun Devil worked on afterwards. My car is old but Sun Devil always tells me what can wait and what needs immediate attention. I have use sun devil in sun lakes for four years. We have a newer vehicle so no major work has been needed. But when i have required work they have done a supper job. One time they told me i needed a new battery. I didn't believe them. Two days later i had to get a jump...my battery was dead. I bought a new one from them. A year or so later while i was getting an oil change they advised that the battery i had purchased was too low and that my warranty was still in effect and they would replace this one at no charge. Very happy! Excellent customer service, fair prices. Would definitely recommend. Took my vehicle in for oil change. I knew it needed much more service than that as it was making noises you don't want to hear. When the oil change was done, they informed me idler pulley was causing the problem with noise rattle. Gave me a quote to repair and I was on my way. Notes were kept in my file. Couple of weeks later, I was ready to have it fixed. I visited Arizona on leave after being stuck up in Washington for so long and needed my car to be worked on after the long track back home. I have had a great experience with Sun Devil Auto. The oil changes and repairs have always been quick, they do a great job, and the prices are more than fair. Kurt always makes sure to go over the suggested repairs and explains them thoroughly. All the employees are very nice, and often make the extra effort to come up and say hi. Great place, has always been helpful. Dustin and Matt are always fast to work to get you back on the road and safely. Had a potential large and dangerous issue with my vehicle the day before I had to leave for California, called and told them the issue and Matt and Dustin took my vehicle in within an hour to get it looked at just to be safe before getting on the road.
