Used this firm for over 2 years and realized I am just a monthly fee them, not a customer. They have a young kid that comes every week to clean it and check the chemicals which takes him all of 5 mins, he doesn't want to be there. He opened my skimmer basket one day and jumped back. I asked what was in there, he said a black widow, I'm not cleaning that. Ok then. I decided to take them up on their offer to acid wash my pool and clean the tile of the buildup. I paid all in advance, $900 for both and they came out the day before to drain the pool. The next day a couple of young punks show up that had no interest in being there to acid wash, didn't even come to the door to introduce themselves, ask if they could head to the backyard. In the meantime, another youngster came to clean the tile and had this bewildered look on his face. He started measuring and then I get a frantic call from "Eileen" at San Tan Pools that they didn't realize I had glass tile and that needs a different type of treatment but they would cut me a deal for just another $200. What?!! You service my pool for this long and you have no idea what kind of tile I have? I asked if she can give me a bit of a break for all this, I pay on time, long time customer and "Eileen" said she needed to talk to "April." Eileen called me back and said $200 more and April said you are getting a deal. I said why isn't April calling me? Why this go between? I am unhappy with your company and she can't even call me? That is when my mind was made up. They finished up and I started filling up my pool, I had to add my garden hose, they just had the pool filler going which would have taken forever. Left without a peep, or can we add your garden hose to fill your pool faster, nothing! My weekly "pool boy" came a couple of days later and they informed me that my pump was now broken and the Penair variable speed pump would be $2,000 plus $95 to install. I went online to Amazon and it was $1,383. I emailed them back and asked why the big mark up? Eileen replied that you get warranty work and if it goes down, would have to pay to get it removed and shipped back with Amazon, but not with them. I said I am not happy, still no call from "April." Low and behold the next week, the young kid comes back to clean my pool and realizes the pump hasn't been replaced yet, lol! He splashed some chemicals around and was gone, didn't even pull out his brush. I asked them why he came out? "Oh, he thought the pump was fixed." I said I was still deciding what to do and obviously you people have no idea about me, my pool, my needs!! I'm outta here, adios. Avoid these folks, you are just a monthly fee! read more

We had a feeling they either weren't showing up or doing a poor job. So after calling and being assured they were servicing our pool I made it a point to watch today 11/11/21. From the time he got out of his truck to the time he got back in was 6 minutes. I time stamped video to prove it. I watched him push the pool broom 5 times and leave - I literally counted. We pay over $100 a month depending on chemicals. Service? I think not. read more

They are very dishonest people. First, they charge for all chemicals used. FYI my pool was just emptied and cleaned and they still put unnecessary chemicals in the water. I just had a pool gate installed and it has a door. I was told to not take the gate out of the ground for a few weeks. I notice the pool man is so lazy, he doesn't want to walk the extra five steps to go through the door so he takes the gate pegs out of the ground. He doesn't back wash the pool and has been over a month since he has done so but yet still adds chemicals. They are crooks for charging for chemicals. If they cleaned the pool correctly and back washed, you wouldn't need all the chemicals. Going with a company that is all included with chemicals like it's supposed to be done. read more

When we were purchasing our house a few years ago my husband really wanted to get one with a pool but I thought it would be too hard to take care of it. So he promised that he would do all the work. Within months of moving in to our new home he was searching for pool companies. Apparently his idea of doing the work to take care of the pool is writing a check every month. We went thru a couple of different pool cleaning companies that ended up being a disappointment to me because there were times that the pool didn't look as clean as it should and were a disappointment to him because they still expected him to do part of the work like purchase the chlorine pellets, do the surface netting, and maintain the equipment. We have been using San Tan for a few years and couldn't be happier. They take care of everything for us and keep our pool looking great. They supply all the chemicals and if anything related to the pump or pool vac breaks or needs to be replaced they take care of that, too. We literally have to do zero work ourselves. As I mentioned, my husband is usually the one who pays the bills and communicates with the San Tan Pool folks. However, we recently had the pool drained to acid wash the pebble tec (they recommend this every 5 years) and I had the opportunity to watch the husband and wife team in action since I was working from home that day. They took great care to make sure everything went smoothly and were very diligent in the cleaning. They even took care of the white line around the water's edge and fixed a crack in the decking. Our pool now looks like its brand new! I highly recommend this company. read more

When I sent out for more information from various pool servicing companies, San Tan was not just quick to reply, but detailed, and asked more questions than any other place. Be sure and ask a lot of questions up front. I was told by the owner that for the 85.00 plus chemicals they would "clean" the pool. When the actual worker came his response was we only do a light brush and chemicals and I would need to clean up the leaves and debris that were in the pool!? read more

They started on my pool in May. Pool looked great. Four months later, I have spent $1760 and I have had a green pool the entire time. They have had me replace equipment and charged me unreal prices. Last month alone they charged me $260 for service. $100 for service and $160 for additional chemicals! Really? I paid it because my pool is still green. I'm not cheap and I pay to maintain my property at a high level and I was shocked at the level of dishonesty and just general ineptness of this company. read more

I have had other pool companies come and look at my pool and give me the same lame dog and pony show about what was needed to fix my pool. I kinda had an idea of what was needed and my B...sh.. alarm went off with all other companies. San Tan Pool Services came out and spent three times the amount of time to investigate the problem. San Tan quickly jumped in and was able to make a visit same day for my pool that had turned green (because of the incompetence of the previous company). Not worth your time or money! Pool Tech will nap in his car and smoke in your yard for 30-40 minutes then rush to dump a bunch of chemicals in your pool. When you voice concerns to the owners they apologize, but nothing changes. Chemicals left in my pool stained my newly resurfaced slide, but when I called to report it another excuse was given. read more

As a first time pool owner I was searching for a reputable pool service to help me when it came time to drain my pool so that some warranty work could be completed and I also needed an initial set up of my water chemistry once it was refilled. I heard from a friend about San Tan Pool Services so I called April and explained to her my situation. She said no problem- I'll put you on the schedule and by the next day they had a technician out. This guy was great! He was very polite and knowledgeable and once the chemistry was set he noticed that my pool pump was not running efficiently. I explained that the pool builder set everything up and I always left it as is because I didn't know any better. He said "No problem - I'll take care of it" as it will save in my overall operating costs because my pump was running way too often. I couldn't be happier and I would highly recommend them to my family and friends! read more
