Rueben and fries with Irish stout
    Michelle O.

I am from out of town. Here visiting customers for work. Staying right by this place. It's St Patrick's Day and I wanted some corned beef and a stout. This place fit the bill. I was hoping it would not be too crowded. It was just right and I found a place at the bar. Special Irish stouts are $4 so I got one. It was pretty good. Easy to drink. I ordered the CV Rueben with the fries. It is St Paddy's day after all! It came out within 5 mins or less. It was hot and ready. Looked great. Tasted good too. Fries were hot. And they were the brew fries with a coating. Not my favorite but these were ok. The Rueben was homemade on marble rye. The kraut was good and the thousand island tasted homemade too. There was some horseradish in there I think not too overwhelming though. The only issue I have is that the sandwich is thick in the middle but the ends have nothing except dressing. All the ingredients need to extend to the end of the bread. The end of the bread was just the dressing. The server/bartender was super nice. The place is small but not too cozy. Tables and a bar. It has all their merch and handles around. So self advertising. No big deal. Cute place. Parking in front and plenty in back. I'd go back.

I'm a huge fan of upland brewing. The beer is solid, the food is good not great....but their staff is always amazing. They do a great job knowing the menu and making the kids enjoy their meal too.

I was greeted when I walked in. Great customer service. I wasn't a fan of the sandwich. I ordered a sprite but it tasted like syrup so I stuck with water. The food was hot. I sat outside under the umbrella and enjoyed the scenery. I then ordered a brownie for dessert. It tasted like it was either freezer burned or it had been sitting in the refrigerator for days. This was my first visit at this location. I've been to the one in castleton several times before.

Dropped in for the devour menu but made an exception and decided not to do it bc the specials menu looked so appealing. Unfortunately the "homade butternut squash gnocchi" was not at all what it was described as. It was in a crazy spicey oily sauce to the point you could not taste any of the other flavors or even the butternut squash. Just sad bc it had so much potential from the description. The other food is was also meh. It appears they have a great menu planner but the staff doesn't know how to produce. Not shocked for Indiana

In town for work, and I figured I would stop by Upland for dinner and a beer as the hotel was right down the street from the tap room. The space was located at the end of a strip center, and could be easy to miss. As you walk in there is a small merchandise area, and a small cooler for to go packaged beers. There is a "V" shaped bar with around 10-12 seats, and a moderate sized seating area. There is also a small patio seating area. I sat at the bar and the bartender/server was friendly and relatively attentive. I ordered a Campside Pale Ale (which was pretty good), and the tenderloin sandwich w/fries. Overall the place was pretty good and I will likely come back when I'm in town next

We were going to go someplace else for lunch, but fate brought us here! Chandler was a very professional and knowledgeable host. The Plum Burger was YUM!! The Chocolate & Cherry Bread Pudding is good, but get the sauce on the SIDE! It's VERY TART! Clean and trendy atmosphere and very good parking. Thank you for a wonderful lunch experience

Plum Burger and Nashville Fried Chicken Sandwich are always my go to choices. Great staff and they of course have wonderfully delicious craft beer.

Upland Nachos (pulled pork + spicy chicken)

My husband and I love coming in here for a date night of nachos and delicious sour beers. This is by far our favorite location they have. Their patio is big and pet friendly, the staff is kind, and the food always comes out perfect. Upland has, hands down, the best nachos in Indy. Other places come close, but they just can't top them. They are a little on the pricier side for nachos when adding meat and guacamole, but other places still don't have anywhere near as much food. So for their portion size I think they are fairly priced. I always get the pulled pork and my husband likes to get the spicy chicken. Sometimes we will come here and get sandwiches or a salad, but the last couple of months it has just been nachos. All of their food is really great. Their sours are mouth watering and this time I got two of the Revive pineapple and chamomile, such a tasty pairing! Last time we were here I got the guava and raspberry, which are also really good. My husband got 2 of their summer nights beer this time and really enjoyed his as well.

We drive by this Upland a lot when driving on 116th st. It's been on my Yelp collection of places to try for a couple years. Finally made it. While the patio was busy , inside was almost empty. We started with the pretzel and cheese and mustard. The pretzel lacked pretzel flavor if that makes sense. It was just kinda nondescript bread. The cheese sauce was ok but had a weird texture. Like it wasn't mixed well. The mustard was awful, I loath horseradish. I got the tenderloin. It was pretty good. Not the huge Hoosier tenderloin but it was tender and I didn't bite into any gristle. Once that happens I'm done. But I ate the whole sandwich. I liked the fries. Nice and crispy. Husband got the Americana Burger. He said it was good and he also liked the fries. Just not wowed with the food flavor. Our server while they did their job they weren't at all friendly. Maybe they've had a long day I don't know. They had zero turn as my Grandfather would have said. To me this is a been there done that kinda place. I know this is a locally owned business and in a competitive market they need to shine. Step up the flavor and step up the friendly factor. One plus the patio is dog friendly.

Service was very quick, food was delicious, and cider was very good as well. Sat outside which was nice and had overall enjoyable experience. Love the seitan burger and the chips at Upland

Great service and food! I decided on the seasonal Octoberfest which was ice cold and flavorful. I opted for the Nashville hot chicken sandwich which did not disappoint. I highly recommend Upland.

A little overpriced but our server was nice and quick. It wasn't busy at all and the food tasted great.

Located this brewery in Carmel IN for a soccer tournament weekend. As we entered the restaurant we came to the realization that the AC was defective and not working. We were very optimistic and decided to stay despite the AC was not functioning and the restaurant was super hot inside due to their AC unit not being able to cool this place down with the temp outside being around 90 degrees. Ambiance of this restaurant was super loud and the conditions were warm. The service was subpar due to the transition of the serving staff. The first server was super attentive and friendly. The second server was not so attentive and barely came back to the table to check if we needed anything or another refill. The Caesar salad was not very fresh or cold. The side salad was warm tasting as well. The chicken wings was pretty tasty and cooked to the right degree of moistness. The libations were good and they had a variety of beers and ciders. I would not recommend this place until they get AC fixed. Super unpleasant to dine in a hot restaurant with poor service. I would recommend the wings and Rueben sandwich. Pretty flavorful and tasty.

One being how they consistently roll out new monthly specials - they're always creative, and the names and descriptions are so much fun. Plus, their specials tie into whatever's locally happening at the time, whether it's Pride Month, Oktoberfest, or anything in between. I tried the summer za' which is a pizza with tomato, corn, zucchini, sausage, red onion, and cheese. Super tasty! And for my mocktail lovers, try the watermelon mint refresher. I'm obsessed!

The Brussels sprouts are an absolute triumph: perfectly blistered with a caramelized exterior and tender interior, dressed in a harmonious balance of bright acidity and savory depth. Little crunchy bits and a subtle smoky char add texture, while a finishing sprinkle (and a hint of something sweet-salty) elevates them from simple side to a show-stealer. The Korean salmon is equally impressive. The fish arrives flaky and moist with a richly glazed crust that carries sweet, spicy, and umami notes in perfect proportion. Layers of flavor -- gochujang-forward heat, sesame brightness, and a touch of citrus -- play against the salmon's natural richness without overpowering it. It's plated thoughtfully, with complementary sides that keep each bite balanced. If you're at Big Lug Canteen, don't pass up those two dishes -- they demonstrate skilled technique, bold yet nuanced seasoning, and a real sense of care in the kitchen. Great food, relaxed atmosphere, solid value. Highly recommended.

Their beer and cocktails are crisp and carefully crafted. The food, however, was not spectacular. We ordered the breadsticks with nacho cheese (overcooked), traditional wings (teriyaki & hot honey garlic - saucy, decent), 1 beef taco (meh), & a single smash burger with an upgraded side of tater tots. Everything was all about the same - nothing special, respectfully. The smash burger was not a traditional smash burger. It also looked and tasted exactly like a burger from Burger King. All 3 times I have been to Danny Boy, it seems the place is being run by 1-3 workers, which makes for very slow ordering and wait times. This day, 2 tables left before ordering drinks due to the long wait. Overall, Danny Boy is a great place to stop for an evening drink to catch up with friends. I, however, would not recommend the food.

Our server was pretty great, and up front about wait times. We went when the kitchen has a crew shortage, so there was a wait for food. For appetizers: nachos were great, but if you ordered a simple nacho, it's meh, we had to add several things and added $$ to make it REAL nachos. The dip for the pork rinds was good. The table ordered truffle fries, they finished it. It was our first time trying Upland beers. Most of the options are IPA and tart beers. None of which I like. The mixed drinks menu was meh, they offer 2 hard ciders, but one was unavailable. Our server let us try samples and she was very patient. For main dishes: I ordered a Salmon BLT. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I didn't eat it with the bun, salmons was very thin, 1 piece of bacon, slice of tomato and 1 piece of lettuce. We had mac and cheese, DO NOT ORDER, it was floating in fat and there's no taste to it. Fish and chips was okay. The pizza was the highlight, it saved the night, I think. Bathrooms clearly labeled, easily seen, and clean. For 6 people, 2 of whom did not have alcoholic drinks (just water), our bill with tip was over $350. I would not come back here again, I had a better time and better food at other breweries.
