Last time I wrote a review for Sun-Sun, I gave it 5 Stars. Today, that has totally changed. NEW MANAGEMENT. Thibgs are not the same. The food is NOT like it used to be. Under new management and the taste of the food is not the same. Dish that I order frequently that has noodles tasted like rubber. Seemed as though the noodles were pre-cooked or leftover from a previous day and re-cooked. The sauce was of a different color and consistency as well. I won't be going back. read more

So before I decided to try this spot I read the previous reviews. Most of the bad reviews were the customer service. My first time stopping by I decided to dine in. I ordered the sweet and sour shrimp and shrimp pad thai. After I ordered and paid, the girl at the counter comes back and says "have you had that from here before? We have a lot of people who don't like it so you can switch to something else because we dont give refunds." While I appreciate the heads up I wish it was before I paid. Nonetheless, I said thanks and switched to shrimp chop suey. Food.... The sweet and sour shrimp was amazing. I wish that I didn't have to put my own sauce on but whatever. My chop suey was okay. Not the best that I've had but not the worse. While I haven't been back for the chop suey, I've had the sweet and sour shrimp a few times over the last month. I've been ordering from here for a few years now. The food is your typical Chinese take out. Nothing special. The last 3 times I've ordered here they take your order and tell you 20-30 minutes. You get there on time and they tell you it's almost done. It ends up taking an hour. They only have 1 person cooking. Next time I'll skip the wait and find somewhere else. read more

This place has horrible telephone customer service. Will never try to order from them again. I placed and order through door dash and called the restaurant to request additional sweet and sour sauce and they told me they do not take Doordash orders after i clearly placed the order 3 minutes earlier for delivery. instead of being honest about my doordash order they called and canceled my delivery through Doordarsh and stated they were to busy. YUCK!!!! This place has really gone downhill. My husband and I were running errands and being Friday, we didn't want to cook. So, we picked the dry cleaning, and thought, LET'S GO TO SUN SUN.. WE HAVEN'T BEEN HERE IN AWHILE. ... We ordered the dinner for 2: Egg drop soup, which wad hot & delicious. Then it went south. Egg tools tasted like they had freezer burn,or old & then dropped in the deep fryer. Parts of them were dry & hard in middle. The sweet n sour chicken is supposed to have pineapple, and green peppers. All the pieces of chicken looked like little uniformed balls, and it had 2 scrappy pepper bites, and no pineapple. The beef dish had tough, chewy meat, that we both had to spit out. No white rice given. The chicken fried rice was ok. We barely touched it. OK... THIS IS THE WEIRD, GROSS PART: we asked the young lady to doggie bag the rest of our food. Now remember, I said they had our platter of the chicken fried rice was barely touched. So, it should have been in a large take out container. But when she brought it back to us, it was in this dinky little to go box! So, what did they do? Recycle our used food?? I will never ever go back there! $18... I'LL GO BACK TO A. FUSION & SPEND $26 .. at least it will be edible. read more

The cooks at this restaurant have always exceeded my expectations; in the past I have always ordered orange shrimp. Today is my mother's birthday and she really wanted Chinese food. Although this restaurant is more than 20 miles from my home, I had no problem traveling because up until now, the food and service has been great. I placed my regular order and added a chicken and brocoli combination. Upon arrival, the lady gives me both orders but not the fried rice. I go up and order a small fried rice and inquire about why it didn't come with the combination. The lady (very rude and with a dismissive tone) tells me that I didn't order it. I expressed to her (calmly) that I had. She would not even consider that maybe, she didn't hear me when I ordered. She continued to tell me that I didn't order what I said I ordered. I asked her is she completely sure. She was adamant that I hadn't and I knew that I had. I told her that I am a costumer and that she as an owner should do what she could to offer better customer service. I expressed to her that the service she was providing was poor. I even stated that I was speaking to her calmly and would appreciate the same from her. She continued to be overly aggressive and rude. If it wasn't my mother's birthday I would've left all the food and requested my money back. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SERVICE AND ALTHOUGH THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT, I WILL NOT BE RETURNING! I do understand that individuals can have a bad day and not know how to effectively deal with people during that time. Yet and still, it saddens me when business owners think they can treat you any kind of way when you are patronizing their business. Customer service is of the utmost importance to me. This is the only place worth your time ordering Chinese food in this area. Everything on the menu is great and packaged neatly. Very clean pleasant atmosphere. There are people "Dining In" sometimes when I pick up my orders but it's mainly for Carry-Out. read more

I have been here many times and have had good food here, not outstanding but good. I have noticed the last few times the food has been less than good. Today I had Pad Thai from here that smelled and tasted like a petting zoo. I simply asked that I have it replaced because something was wrong with it. The kids behind the counter said that is how it is suppose to taste like. I highly disagreed. They asked someone in the back of restaurant about exchanging it for something else and he refused. That is bad management and will keep me from coming back. I usually eat here on average once a month. Don't order anything with noodles from here. I ordered from here for lunch and had one of the lunch specials. Oooooh was it good! I had the Mongolian beef with fried rice and there is so much food. I also ordered pot stickers. Our search for good chinese continues. This place is certainly not it. We ordered Sesame chicken, General Tso's chicken, Wonton Soup, vegetable lo main, Pot stickers & egg rolls. Wanted to try something different so I gave sun sun a try, boy was I disappointed... Food was very bland and extremely over-priced! Ordered a BBQ pork appetizer and the meat had a weird texture, the sauces for all my lunch plates (sweet n sour chicken, shrimp egg foo young, beef n broccoli) was very thick and when it got cold turned into jello...absolutely no flavor in the fried rice! Very good Chinese place close to home. Always get carry-out. The fried rice is awesome and the Mongolian chicken or beef could feed an army. I worry about the location. It's hard to see going south on Harlem. Very affordable, quick and good. Keep it up Sun Sun II. read more

Great Chinese Food fast and they deliver! We had our food in 20 minutes after ordering. The food was flavorful and some of the best we've had from take out Chinese. Just stay away from the fried wontons. Nothing but wonton wrapper - needs some filling. The crab rangoon is wonderful read more
