Went in to try the spray tan after not having done it for many years. Very impressed so far ! The machine they have is wonderful ! No smelly fumes, no bad tan stuff on your feet and hands...all very natural and left my skin softer than before the tan ! Used their pre conditioner so no "spray tan" smell ! I will definitely be back and would recommend them ! read more

This place is seriously disadvantaged by their corporate policies. I feel bad for the customer service reps that have no ability to respond to customers and make reasonable decisions at the store-level without calling the corporate help line. I called months ago to unfreeze/cancel my membership and they said I had to visit the store. I visited today and found out that the $5 they had been taking from my account monthly was nonrefundable and could only be used for store credit after activating my account for $37 (I will not use the membership, so this is a waste of money for me). The customer service rep said my only other option was to "throw that money away." Sun Tan City has provided me no service to justify taking $85 (17 months frozen). I probably would have used the store credit for occasional drop-ins if they were reasonable about the un-freezing (I would never pay $37 to use MY $85 cash as store credit), but experiencing their policies in action makes me NEVER want to do business at ANY Sun Tan City again. read more

Disappointing!! Employees are great but this is directed at corporate. They are still charging membership fees during this crisis. No offer to waive inactivity fees, just pay us. I don't care how much you wipe the beds down you can't get everything clean in 3 minutes. Corporate is GREEDY and the customer service at this place SUCKS. Love this location-- very clean very speedy in the process. Great options for great prices in comparison to other places. However, when I asked to "freeze" my account they said they did, and in fact didn't so I had been getting charged. When I called no one seemed to know the answer to my question, and couldn't even find me in their system. Took almost a half hour phone call but will be receiving a refund apparently. read more

Seriously look at their start rating they continue to charge me for 8 months after repeatedly canceling. I have over $400 in charges. Eventually called the credit card company disputed the charges and reported them to the better business bureau read more

Terrible service! I checked in online an hour ahead and still had to wait behind several others for a spraytan. I ended up leaving without getting my spraytan. The downtown location provides much better customer service. To respond to Vanessa's comment, one of the people ahead of me at the salon did not check in online. They were standing in front of me in line and checked in in person, yet they still got a spraytan ahead of me. What is the point of checking in online for a particular time when any walk in can go ahead? read more

Recommend over the West towne location 10000% better. Friendly staff. Bit of a wait on Fridays and weekend but that is expected. Beds and the salons are always clean. read more

Rachel was amazing! I haven't tanned in years but she was very patient with me and provided a wealth of knowledge.

The salon is nice and it is clean with quality equipment. My main problem is everytime I go there I feel really uncomfortable and it is because of some of the staff. I feel like i'm walking into their own private party and they don't want me there. Last time I went the girl lectured me for 10 minutes because I didn't buy their lotion even though I have my own that I bought at my old salon. Basically, a few of the girls there act a little stuck up and roll their eyes at customers. read more

I signed up for a month of the "best" bed they have, after two weeks I was hardly tan. They told me I should try another bed so I "downgraded" which seemed to work, though they offered no type of refund and when I called to find out how to change my plan for the following month they had me to do so online. Following their instructions I ended up signed up for a year...which I did not need! When I called to find out how to cancel they offered no type of help. Haven't gone back, won't go back. Make sure you know exactly what you are signing up for, guess $131 means more to them than having life long customers. read more

Have used this salon in past years with decent experience. Signed up this year at another location but decided to stop in to the Fitchburg location today since I was nearby. Granted, it was crowded, but one person working whose name tag I believe said he was a manager continued to sign in every person who walked through the door as the many beds requiring cleaning sat and customers waited. He went as far as setting up a new customer and taking her into her tanning room. Then another person walks in the door and got his full attention.. Take 5 minutes to get caught up on cleaning the rooms so those of use waiting (4-5 people) can start tanning. People walking in can wait just as those who have already signed in can. Got fed up and walked out, another person waiting who was just trying to find out about packages followed me. Very happy with West Towne Mall location and will stick to that! read more
