Inside, it's one of those step-down markets, but it is clean, well -stocked, and organized. The produce section is neatly arranged, and everything looked fresh and good quality. Since it is an international grocery, you'll find products from all over, which is wonderful - catering to all the customers. Prices are a little bit on the lower side compared to other markets, so you get value for what you're buying. There's also a public restroom tucked in the back with a clear sign, which is always helpful. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth checking out.

This Ralph store has self checkout station and also regular cashier line as well. Be aware that there no butcher for the meat, it's mainly seafood so all the meat are already prepackaged. The produce area is on the right side of the store and the soda are toward the left side where the bakery is as well. When I come to this grocery store, they usually have security at the entrance. Top Buys Here: HEIRLOOM TOMATOES. - When they have them, they are usually in the two dollar per pound range. PICKLING CUCUMBERS - (which you cannot even get at the Ralph's) - Here you can buy a sack of these for a few bucks. RED BELL PEPPERS - Half the price or less than at the Ralph's. OKRA - Inexpensive and fresh. GREEN BEANS & BROAD BEANS - Both fresh and cheap (and you cannot even get broad beans at a regular super market.) And there are dozens if not hundreds of other great buys.here (like farmer's cheese, sumac, and Bulgar wheat). Definitely shop here if you live in the neighborhood. I picked up a few items tonight, and one item missed the mark. * The Bad -- Hard Rice: The pickled pear baked salmon onigiri had a tough, dry texture. * Food : The package label showed the rice ball was already three days old. * High Price: It cost nearly $7 for stale food that I could not finish. Their prices are high. Head to the Valley's Japanese grocery store like Mitsuwa in Northridge for sushi or a Korean grocery store like Greenland Market in Van Nuys for prepared food made the same day at lower prices. The Good: * The spam musubi was made the same day and tasted fresh. * The butter mochi was delicious. Final Thoughts: I expected fresh food made that morning. Selling three-day-old rice balls at this price is unacceptable. I will not return because they sell items past their prime. I would not buy their sushi based on my experience as it might be old as well.

The lettering is small and the windows are tinted and you feel like you're about to enter a drab office, but when you open the door, you're treated to a feast for the senses. The space spans a mix of cafe, boutique gift shop, and bodega. Everything feels curated and little discoveries await you for those who are culinary minded. For example, I discovered that they sell frozen burritos from Las Palmas and frozen pizzas from Mozza?! Someone clearly knows their way across the culinary food map of Los Angeles. If you can pry your eyes long enough from wandering the corners of the store, you can finally place your order of breakfast, lunch or coffee/tea. I just took my cold cuts sandwich on house-made ciabatta to the proverbial mattress. The bread had enough structure to handle the piles of quality deli meats, yet was less dense than some other ciabatta breads I've tried. But, it did an admirable job packing in the flavors from the spicy peppers, cheese, meats. Wow. I'm just gonna say that this cold cuts sandwich was one of my top 3 from LA. As I grazed the bakery display, a patron whispered that I should try the biscuit with jam and butter. The guy was wearing Cheetos socks so I immediately felt that his recommendation was trustworthy. I threw in my lot with the biscuit and oh boy, did it (and his recommendation) deliver. Humble looking on the outside, there's a nice salted, buttery crust to the exterior that opens up to an inviting platform to slather on creamy butter and jam. I fully understand why he felt the extra calories were worth it. I'd do it again. Of course, I couldn't order a biscuit without a drink, so I tried their summery limoncello cream iced matcha with oat milk - summers in Kyoto and Sicily combine for a refreshing and satisfyingly creamy bever-"aaage" that adds some pep to your step, even when the mercury pushes past 100.
