The level of rudeness is incredible from the employees of this store. Not one employee spoke to us while we were there. We live local in north Scottsdale and while I had heard that the staff here were rude, seeing it on a personal level was shocking. As everything is on sale, maybe they are going out of business and just don't care anymore? As president of the local business council, I will do my best to make sure that people stay away from this place. Looking to purchase an item should be fun. Kierland is a great area for shopping and dinning and I encourage people to go there but please avoid this store as they do not seem to want your business. read more

If I could give this store 0 's and get away with it I would. I am no stranger to shopping. As a matter of fact I have shopped myself across America and back again several times. All that to say I am a veteran of spot-on customer service. I've been a beneficiary of top notch, white glove, red carpet niceties and Sundance store at The Kierland Commons leaves far to much to be desired in the decorum department. Not only had I just purchased into the Kierland Resort lifetime ownership experience but had dropped coinage all along that shopping corridor and trust me when I say Sundance wasn't my worst customer service experience but it is the one I'm writing about. It honestly think it's because I'm Black that every single white woman in that store ignored my presence. I mean, seriously. I walked in and the woman directly in front of me got eye contact and continued to design her display, and it was all downhill from there. Oh, sure, there was high-pitched talking, laughing all around me, sales people running around assisting other white women in the store. But not me. I even heard them say goodbye to people and welcomed newcomers as though they'd known them their entire lives. And so, instead of spending the coinage on that lovely magenta, cashmere sweater, or the kimono, or the Old Gringo boots I fell madly in love with while perusing the store for more than 25 minutes I left empty handed. I'd so wanted to buy something, I was so excited to see a real live brick & mortar of this store which has a great catalog, but I was so disappointed to recognize the lack of real live courtesy on behalf of the sales women. I normally have a hard time finding clothing at this store, but I usually give it the benefit of the doubt and check in when I'm near the store. Today I was appalled. Not one clerk was circulating through the store. They were all huddled in a corner by the register talking amongst themselves. I was not impressed. This store is going downhill fast. read more

So love Sundance, this location beautifully decorated and their staff is always helpful. I miss their small men's a section they used to carry though- it seems they got rid of that. Tip for parking - park opposite side behind the condos- tons of spaces there. Today's visit was focused on our boxers need of a jacket- it's chilly on our morning walks and finding a jacket for "chesty boxers" is impossible! We love our dog bed we got from here- it's a Pendleton bed, amazing quality and so soft, so today I went with their Pendleton dog jacket. LOVE IT- and it fits! read more

The worst experience I have ever had with a retailer. Ordered 4 belts online; 2 arrived with a notice that the other were 2 on back order (which the system should have told me when I ordered them originally). I followed the online return process. After 3 weeks of no refund for the 2 I never received that were back ordered I drove to the store to ask for a refund (with the receipt showing the two not received). The store personnel told me they couldn't process a refund without the merchandise and that I had to call the "customer service" number. I called the "customer service" number, and it took 40 minutes for them to answer the phone and to "process" the refund. The next day I received an email charging me $7.95 for "return shipping". I then had to spend another 10 minutes calling the number to get the $7.95 refund for return shipping on merchandise I never received. I'll never purchase anything from this company again. read more

This review is about the company and this store. Going into and purchasing something was fine. Everyone willing to help. Returns? No one wants to help. I walked in with my return, no one offered help. I stood in line (both cashiers busy), then a couple of ladies joined the line behind me a few minutes later. After several more minutes one customer finished checking out and then the employee called over the customers who joined the line after me. The other employee finished up with her customer at the register then started organizing or shuffling stuff around behind the counter. Maybe they were hoping I'd just leave? Seems like they work like they're paid strictly commission. I ended up writing a review on the website about the item I bought/returned (screenshot photos show what I wrote and their response). I got a blanket message that they can't publish it without a specific reason why. I assume because I mentioned the $108 top was made in China. Which it was, there was a fabric tag sewn into the garment. So, if you want to overpay for something made in China, shop here. I won't deny that they have cute things, and understand it's higher quality workmanship even though it come from a country that generally sells cheap items so companies can make more profit. But don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining. I'd rather shop Anthro where more things come from countries that make quality products, then I'm OK with a higher price tag. Also, censoring reviews like that? Now I can't trust any reviews on that site. They only let the good ones through. read more

This store was the perfect weekend adventure after brunch with a friend: hats, dresses, jewelry, candles - the list goes on. The owner is Actor Robert Redford and the store made me feel like I was back at Sundance Resort! I loved the beautiful decor and wide selection of items. Strolling through Kierland a few weeks ago was the first time I visited this store. I was not familiar with it but there were several items in the window that caught my eye enough to go inside. They have some unique pieces that were really fun. I overheard a sales associate tell someone else that this was the last day of the 20% off $100. That helped me decide to try on the embroidered jeans I was holding. They fit perfectly and qualified for the discount! It is a store that I can see myself visiting now and then to find something unusual. I have gotten lots of compliments on my purchase! read more

I needed quick earrings for dinner. Nice items but not unique. The sales woman mention to a couple of other buyers that there is a special sale on jewelry. I bought a pretty pair of studs and left. The next day I was tossing away the little package and noticed that it had 2 stickers with the same item code. You guessed it, the sticker on top was priced higher. The store raises prices then offers a sale. The least they can do is put items in an unmarked box. read more

I was so excited to finally go into Sundance yesterday ! The staff never spoke to me the whole time I was there ! In fact I had two of them walk by me look me in the eye and you all know the look when someone looks down upon you well that's what I got !! These were not young teenagers but middle aged women of my age group that should know better ! I was well dressed but treated with disrespected ! After subscribing to the catalog for years, I finally & happily figured out that there were retail stores! Duh. Since I live in Tucson & can't stand shopping malls, I've made a special effort to get to this store twice for good reason- they have really nice clothes, shoes & jewelry, everything from the catalog & more. Also worth the travel is the sales staff - I've been lucky w honest, stylish & helpful women so far (sorry to read the other review). The minute I walked through the door, I found some fabulous-fitting embroidered jeans that needed the right top...the petite saleswoman went above & beyond on a busy day to find something for me. She was one of the best salespeople I've ever worked with - neither pushy nor dismissive- just honest, patient, accommodating ... adjusting cuffs, tucks, collars, belts, jewelry, shoes; recommending items that I never in a million years would have picked for myself, but were absolutely perfect together. I left without my usual dreadful buyer's remorse, excited to model my new finds for my hubby (who loved the updated style, by the way). The clothing is beautiful. They sell the only lotion that I can wear... unfortunately it is in Kierland, which is difficult to to find parking, and therefor very difficult to just run a quick errand. Today I made an entire day out of running errands at Kierland. I made a couple of returns to Sundance, and found a few items that I wanted. As I was checking out I remembered that I had received a notice of a 20% off sale in my email. I asked the gal if the discount was still on, and was told that the discount had ended yesterday. Upon returning home this afternoon, there was ANOTHER email letting me know that the discount had been extended through today. I called the store, and asked to be refunded the difference, and was told that I had to come BACK into the store in order to receive the credit. She also told me that the other woman .must not have seen the email letting her know about the extension on the sale... I find it very hard to believe that a corporation as big as Sundance, relies solely on personal email as a way of communicating with their staff. I also find it hard to believe that there is not some way to issue a credit other than forcing me to drive back to the store (and find parking) AGAIN! It just really feels like this is someone who simply does not want to make much effort in order to rectify a mistake ( and I am wondering how many other customers today did not get their discount!) read more
