The gravy for the biscuit and gravy was really good, unlike the usual white gravy, this one not only looks different but it's not as heavy. The most overrated place I have ever been. We waited 15 minutes past our reservation time to get seated only to not even order our food or be acknowledged by a waiter for an additional 30 mins. We ordered eggs, hashbrown, toast, and the funky monkey French toast with Nutella, bananas, and berries. I got the best mocha (coconut milk) that I have ever had. It was very noisy, which was the only real downside--and that was because it was BUSY (another indication of how great it is). They have an outdoor patio that was open today, May 10th. One of the more disappointing brunch's I've had in my life. Right from the get go it feels like Sunday's Best is trying way to hard. Huge neon lettering telling me to "brunch hard," floral wallpaper, a big couch in the entrance, and two candles pumping out more fumes than an Abercrombie & Fitch. Well it is admittedly giving off a certain trendy Instagram vibe that works for some, it did not work for me. As we sat at our patio table, it felt as if Sunday's Best was a Urban Outfitters wearing a restaurant costume. The table was to high for the mismatched chairs, more couches were scattered outside. While this things are cute, they are not the most comfortable for a dining experience. The service was slow and underwhelming, it took almost 30 minutes before we even met our waiter. We ordered a classic hot chocolate, and a dulche de leche hot chocolate. The former was just lukewarm milk thinking of chocolate while the latter tasted like the milk leftover after you finish your cinnamon toast crunch. The food followed the string of disappointments. A stack of pancakes which would have been flavourless husks were it not for the blueberries we requested. The center of these flour discs were so soggy and undercooked that we barely made it through half. My order of chicken and waffles was overall fine, but not worth the $16 I payed. If you want the Sunday Best's experience for half the price, just go eat IHOP in an Anthropologie. read more

I love the vibes at Sunday's Best and I have been here a couple of times before, with no complaints. This time, however, my wife and I didn't have a good experience. We had a reservation but it took us 20 minutes to get a table after arriving on time for our reservation. Our server took FOREVER to get to our table and didn't even bring any water. We ordered Belgium waffles with a side of potatoes, eggs Benedict and the beignets as appetizers. The food took forever to come, and when it finally came, no beignets. "The kitchen was running behind" was the excuse we got. Funny enough, EVERY single table--including those with parties who arrived after us--got their orders of beignet, with some tables getting multiple orders. I asked her why there were french fries instead of country potatoes, she said because she just found they were out. Apparently, as the customer, we're supposed to eat it and not ask any questions. Then I asked her for another breakfast substitution and they had run out of that also. Not only was the food mediocre, but the service was poor. I came down for the weekend from Las Vegas and my cousin had suggested we go try this spot. Now I'm a bit of a food snob because I work my way through some amazing foodie spot in Las Vegas and I would have to say this is a must try here in SLC. I would dare say it's one of the best breakfast spots I've tried here. I had the caviar deviled eggs and the smoked salmon toast. We also tried the beignets and they were so good we ordered some to take home too. Now I would highly recommend making reservations. Also, if you have a preference of seating request that at the time you make reservations. The DJ was a cute addition but we were sitting in front of it and as he started playing music it made it a bit hard to hear. This place is obviously an interior decorating masterpiece so if nothing else, worth the visit for that one reason alone but fortunately their food is worth talking about as well. I've been here a couple times and I will say it will be busy without fail so plan accordingly. Their waiters and waitresses are so friendly and knowledgeable and I appreciated recommendations they had. The powdered sugar beignets are a must to start you off or you're looking for a little sweet, the breakfast burrito was well proportioned and delicious, and I will definitely be ordering the egg benedict again in the future. I had the huevos rancheros by recommendation of our server. She should stop recommending them. What is usually a dish with explosion of flavor, is practically tasteless here. Sunday's Best" in Sandy is no longer the "best" - in fact it is now far from it. Not sure when or how it went down hill so fast. This used to be our fave brunch spot in South SLCo. The level of the food is mediocre at Best, the server we had didn't give a rip when we expressed dissatisfaction in menu items we've historically ordered regularly, and food quality and presentation is not even close to what it used to be. There is no excuse for eggs to NOT be cooked correctly to order. Its sad to see their expansion into at least 2 additional locations that now appear to be at a total stand-still, incomplete and unfinished - just taking up prime real-estate with their signs and logos when there is not a single indication of them ever opening. Maybe before you decide to open more locations, you should ensure your OG store can maintain its status and quality to those that have been customers since the beginning. On paper this pairing makes sense. The asthetics of Ginger Street owner with the food from Provisions Chef. This unfortunately was a big miss for me. I don't mind small portions but a breakfast burrito as big as 2 sugar packets is insane especiallywhen you're putting in French fries instead of a good hash or crisp potatoes. The truckers breakfast is meh. I don't know why people keep trying to make fingerling potatoes work but they don't. There are 3000 other varieties of potatoes to choose from just not those. Pick a lane and stop with the desperate attempt to appeal to "influencers" who don't live in the real world. I really really wanted to like this place. I am not one for the instagram astheticz as it's usually a good indication that the place cares more about superficial stuff rather than the food itself but like I said Chef Tyler's name being on it was a huge selling point for me.
