The cheddar chive biscuit is out of this world. We got breakfast at Sundays best. I liked that the food portions were normal and you didn't have to leave feeling completely bloated or throw half of it away. We went on a Saturday morning and this place was beyond crowded, so be sure to make a reservation in advance. We've been here a few times and they must've been shortstaffed because it took over an hour to bring us our food. We had other obligations so that made this challenging. Ethan our server was great. To be honest, I was nervous coming here because I LOVED the decor and was intrigued, but the mixed reviews of the food on Yelp made it so I didn't know what to expect. Let me just alleviate your doubt: Sunday's Best is GOOD FOOD. The decor is unbeatable, in fact, I am hoping to have my wedding dinner and reception here as a private event! The vibe of this place (seating, dishware, tile, wallpaper) is unlike anything I have seen in this area. I got the chicken & waffles both times I've been. It comes with a spicy butter! The flavor profile of the sweet and salty and spicy is so unique and delicious. I've tried the Nutella French toast (a LOT of nutella) and the avocado toast (super good too!) On paper this pairing makes sense. The asthetics of Ginger Street owner with the food from Provisions Chef. This unfortunately was a big miss for me. I don't mind small portions but a breakfast burrito as big as 2 sugar packets is insane especiallywhen you're putting in French fries instead of a good hash or crisp potatoes. The truckers breakfast is meh. I don't know why people keep trying to make fingerling potatoes work but they don't. There are 3000 other varieties of potatoes to choose from just not those. It's kinda a joke when you see a breakfast burrito with fries inside on the same menu that has $125 caviar appetizer and a $600 bottle of Dom. Pick a lane and stop with the desperate attempt to appeal to "influencers" who don't live in the real world. I really really wanted to like this place. I am not one for the instagram astheticz as it's usually a good indication that the place cares more about superficial stuff rather than the food itself but like I said Chef Tyler's name being on it was a huge selling point for me. We were seated rather quickly, but it took longer than normal to receive our lunch. Server was nice.... This is my complaint. I ordered avocado Toast and the server asked me if I would like Bacon, tomato, and cucumbers. Of course, I said," that would be nice." I'm not cheap, but I was quite shocked when I went over the bill. The charge to add these items came to $9.00. Not cool!!! The server never mentioned that this would be an up-charge. When she came back to the table to collect my payment, I asked her about it. She took it to the manager, and the manager stated, "this will be a one time exception only." . Nope, not paying it..... The decor was super cute and 'instagramable' as other had mentioned. I really liked the decor overall and gave me a lot to look at. There is also an outdoor seating area with a shade cover. We booked a reservation on Google about 45 mins before we went for 2 at 9:15 in a Sunday. A friend told us they waited 3 weeks to get a table for a larger group which was very surprising given our experience. When we got there we had to wait 10 mins to be seated even while having a set reservation. We ordered our coffees and the scones from the menu (which I'm not seeing on their online menu) but im pretty sure they were beignets. We asked 2 people and they both said they were the scones but they looked exactly the same just in a different presentation than the beignets. If you're there, check the price and get the cheaper of the two since they're the same with a different dip. We waited about 40 mins for these to come out, after watching people around us get their full meals while being seated 15-20 mins after us. About 3 mins after getting our 'scones' we got our meal. The Egg Sando was yummy but the bun got soggy quick so try to eat it somewhat fast! I switched out the bacon for sausage which was great. The jam was a great touch and made the whole sandwich. Eggs Benedict was tasty and very well made. The potato's were cooked well and had good flavor. There was live music which was fun but was really easy to tune out. First time at this place and I know all the hype about it through social media. On the way there I read some Yelp reviews and I saw a couple reviews mentioning to host desk employees weren't very warm and welcoming and they were correct. The lady working the front didn't want to be there and seemed piss. I know fake "customer service" voice. Moving on to the decor and aesthetic of the place. This place was known for its unique design and texture. I enjoyed the Christmas decorations they added. The mix of different wall and flooring textures is very pleasing to the eye and creates a great experience for their guest. We got reservation so we got sat quickly. Started off with the Dutch baby which was extremely soft and fluffy. The lemon was a nice touch. I got the eggs Benedict and the potatoes were alright, the server asked if we needed salt and pepper and I said yes but he never came back? The servers aren't great at checking on the tables and it wasn't even full capacity. The Benedict itself was nothing special but it was good. This restaurant is the epitome of Instagram culture. Neon signs, colorful wallpaper, trendy decor, etc. Like, hipster...but in the most mainstream way possible. Going along with social media similarities, the food here looks much better than it actually is. They also had live music, but it just felt very inorganic. The band looked great and had cool instruments, but the music wasn't my thing. Maybe I'm annoyed because they played a rendition of that song Baby Shark (doo doo doo doo), but in their defense, there was a decent amount of children dining at the time so maybe they were simply catering to the crowd. Our waiter was really friendly and attentive, so table service was great! That said, it took quite a while for our plates to come out (over 30 minutes). Finally, it's overpriced. The total bill came to about $30 for my latte and fish tacos (excluding tip). I know inflation is getting pretty crazy these days, but dang. No accommodations for those that have dairy allergies to have things cooked on separate cooktop without butter contamination. 2) Wait staff is friendly; however appears overworked and not overly attentive to tables needs. 3) Meal came out and had several errors. Scrambled eggs were sent out as over easy eggs, bacon wasn't properly cooked. Had a berry bowl and had a moldy blueberry. Asked for the manager to come out and she was not friendly given the situation. She sent out a new berry bowl that came with a moldy raspberry. My wife and I wanted to take a friend out to brunch for his birthday, and since we are avid brunchgoers we decided to finally give Sunday's Best a try now that it's been open for a little while. Upon being seated I could already say that this place was unique. It was like stepping into a real life representation of Pinterest. They execute the atmosphere very well but it really puts off a vibe that it's catering to Gen Z very heavily and was a little overbearing for my taste. The chefs did seemed to be a little bit overwhelmed from the start. Our server was constantly at our table which we were very happy with, but it took 25 minutes to get our appetizer, then our meals didn't come until about another 40 minutes later. All in, we spent 2 hours in the restaurant from start to finish. The food itself was good. I ordered the huevos rancheros which I was happy to find that I really enjoyed; something that I can't say about the huevos rancheros options from any other brunch place in Sandy. My wife ordered the truckstop breakfast with toast instead of a biscuit, and everything came perfectly cooked though there was a funky smoke taste to their bacon. I smoke foods with all sorts of woods regularly at home, but I couldn't place the flavor. Overall, the food is good but a bit small for the price. I brought a family group of 9 here on Monday morning for my mom's 75th birthday brunch. It's clean and nicely decorated, trendy, with pleasant music. (A tad too loud?) Latticed metal dividers between different areas of the room provide a feeling of privacy. We were seated at a large round table with very comfy padded chairs and each presented with a pretty stack of three menus: I think they were nonalcoholic beverages, alcoholic beverages, and food. My daughter selected a fancy hot chocolate, my nephew a grapefruit juice, and most of the rest of us had bloody marys or mimosas. The hot drinks were served in really pretty mugs. We shared two orders of monkey bread for the table to start, but probably could have gotten away with one order; it's about 9 inches across. Three of us ordered the avocado toast, which was one of the mains that could also be made vegan. This was a light but nice meal. We also had the spicy chicken sandwich (fried a bit too hard), fish tacos, eggs benedict, huevos rancheros, biscuits and gravy, and a "truck stop breakfast." Most of the mains could easily be split by two people. One thing I very much liked about Sunday's Best is that their menu includes meal options in a variety of price ranges, from $6 oatmeal to $28 steak and eggs, so it's possible to enjoy a nice brunch at a reasonable price. Our total check was $232 before tip for 9 people. One thing I didn't like about the menu was that it contained so many spelling errors! The missing star is mostly for that, because it's a sign of a lack of care that could apply to other areas of the business. If you're going to sell a reallllly expensive bottle of champagne, please spell its name correctly. FYI for those people wanting to enjoy a bloody mary or mimosa with brunch: 1) The restaurant can't serve them until after 11:30am. 2) A simple bloody mary isn't on the menu but you can order one and it comes with some terrific bacon! read more

It's almost impossible to believe this use to be a training table. The decor is over the top but in a good somewhat hipster way. We went on a weekday at 10:30 and were seated right away. Even though the restaurant wasn't overly busy it wasn't a quick meal. The pancakes were amazing! I ordered both types and with the exception of the butter syrup (I'm not a butter fan) each bite was amazing. My husband ordered the steak and eggs and his eggs were severely undercooked. Food took about 40 minutes which was a bit disappointing for some hangry people. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and it was delicious! The hollandaise sauce was great and the potatoes were well seasoned. A few notable things about certain dishes: Truck Stop Breakfast- had a spicy sausage and I'm not sure how to explain it but it was sweet like syrup but savory. We have made the reservations two weeks ahead, so we got very excited about the experience here. I really wish I could love this place, but it's a very disappointed brunch. The decorations are cool but the silverware and plates are cheap made and could not complete the look of the dish. Food is also not very tasting, I would say below average. The egg Benedict's sauce is too thick and heavy, made it very greasy. The ahi tarte is not fresh enough, the after taste is super fishy in my mouth which is kinda disgusting...Avocado toast was good though. Service is super slow, we have made our reservation, but we still waited for 15 mins to get seated. And waited another 20 mins to get order our drink. Then no body checked on us anymore. I would say I almost didn't experience any service at all. Live music is one of the highlight that day, but our seat is too close to the band. Which made the music super loud, we can barely chat. Not sure how else to describe this place besides boujee & straight off IG - in a good way! The interior is absolutely stunning and everything was very well thought out - even the staff is gorgeous! Sometimes, with places that are this extravagant, the food can lack but this was not the case. We started with the almond milk matcha latte and a grapefruit mimosa - both delicious. The matcha is actually one of the best matchas I've had in awhile. For food, we shared the almond pancakes and honestly - they were one of my favorite parts of the meal! Delicious almond flavor, perfect consistency and lightly crisped on the edges. The chicken and waffles were great too - chicken was perfectly done, flavorful and crispy, the waffle was a bit soft but it worked because the chicken was so crisp. It's also the perfect serving of chicken & waffles. The breakfast sandwhich was okay - it's on a brioche bun that's so soft it can't hold the softly scrambled egg and tomato sauce. I ended up eating it all with a fork because it became really soggy and hard to eat after two bites. It did come with rosemary potatoes that weren't too shabby. All in all, I think this place is going to be a hit and we will definitely be back! They have a lot of great menu items for all to enjoy. After the hype about this brunch place, I had really high expectations. The place itself was super cute and hipster, lavished with very modern vibes. I had a reservation for 10:30am and I didn't get seated until 10:55am. After being seated, we were greeted by our server who asked if we wanted any drinks. I asked for a matcha latte (what I was most excited about) and my sister asked for a chai latte, both of which had they run out of, which was a big disappointment. I opted for water and she opted for an iced latte instead. After waiting about ten minutes, another server noticed that our menus were still out and came by to take our order. I got the eggs Benedict and my sister got the avocado toast. The avocado toast came out and I was so surprised at the portion. It was plated very well, but it was literally one piece of toast, cut into four pieces. I got the eggs Benedict and substituted the fingerling potatoes for hash browns. At first glance, the eggs Benedict looked beautiful. After my first bite however, I was not too happy. The hollandaise sauce was slightly sour which is not something I've ever encountered before with an eggs Benedict. The poached egg was cooked perfectly though so I'll give them that. We were trying to wave down a server for ketchup but by the time anyone noticed us, we were basically already done with our food. On top of that, the ice latte didn't arrive until we were ready for our check. The server eventually noticed and luckily, he took the iced latte off our tab. I think this concept was very much needed in salt lake. It's refreshing to see places like this pop up. They definitely need to work on the organization a bit because this was not a pleasant experience for me. This place is off the charts!!! From the super fun ambiance, phenomenal food and over the top service--hands down one of the best restaurants I have been to! We had a small work group meet for breakfast this morning. We were all impressed right out of the gate, staring with the our table setting with beautiful china. Our server, Robert, was incredibly attentive and able to answer several questions from our group as none of had been there before. Highly recommend ordering their beignets and coffee--both were amazing! Also recommend the Eggs Benedict with avocado--incredible! Will definitely be going back! read more

This is the kind of restaurant this area needs. I'm glad it's here! But while nice and fun, as a whole, it's just kind of okay. I've been several times because everyone and their friend wants to eat here! I do love the Asian influence in a lot of menu items, but, unfortunately, many of the dishes seem to fall short on taste and composition. The things I've ordered here, starting with the bad: Farro salad - just a lot more farro than salad and not that flavorful. Brussels sprouts - I assumed that since there was an egg on it that it would be more of a main dish, but it actually makes a better side dish to share than an entree. Avocado toast - my toast was hard and charred, or more like burnt. I thought this was a one-off incident but I noticed another customer hardly touched his dish as well and I noticed his toast was the same. And I had heard from friends who commented that the toast was overly hard and near impossible to bite into, as well. Now for the good: Beignets - AMAZING and AWESOME! These beignets are not some weak, glorified donut. These are above all of the beignets you've ever had! They are puffy and substantial and the raspberry puree that comes with it is probably the best part! Fried rice - OMGosh! I could eat this all day long, every day! It's a plate piled high with rice and is best shared, but so worth a return visit! I recommend making a reservation because it gets very busy. I don't recommend being seated at the big round table. The table is too wide and having a conversation in an already very loud restaurant is pretty much impossible. It's a beautiful restaurant, but it is lacking in some areas. read more
