My daughter and I were out and about and stopped at this little shopping plaza. When we were about to leave the plaza my daughter glanced behind her and saw this business that had a huge signed that they make car keys. We went inside and were greeted instantly by Ori who is the proprietor of that business.. We told Ori that we were just inquiring about possibly having and extra set of keys made for my daughter's Grand Cherokee Jeep. He quoted us a great price and we decided to have her car key made. I tell you that whole process and transaction was done quickly and efficiently. We were happily surprised. What I liked best about our experience is that we noticed a small sign on his counter that said, "I work very hard so my dog can have a great life." That really touched our hearts because we have 4 dogs which 3 are rescues. Setup an Appt. With them which they said I said 3. Which I know that's a lie. I'm not driving from north Phoenix to Tempe at that time. Regardless they told me come anytime , and that they will have it ready for me. So I drove 40 minutes and got there right at 1130. He asks me if I was quoted a price I said yes. He looks into his system and you should of seen the look on his face when he said he sold the fob. But come back in 45 minutes and he would have one for me. No thanks. You just wasted my time. So careful dealing with them and apparently they want you to call and confirm your appt cause there commitment to you might change. read more

Purchased a backup key fob for my Toyota Prius. He programmed it in about 5 minutes. Cost was significantly less than dealership or any other place I researched. Ky is AWESOME. He showed up when he said he would and made me new car keys in minutes. He was also just a pleasant fellow! I'm so glad we went to Sundial instead of the dealership, who would've charged me a hundred dollars more and would've made me tow my car to them to calibrate my new key (which would've been at least another hundred more dollars I'm sure). I was worried I wouldn't have access to a new key for almost a week, and Ky made it happen in under an hour for a fraction of the price. I had tried to have a key cut and programmed by another locksmith and my car was giving them problems and they were unable to complete the job. Ori was able to get it done and even threw in a separate key that will lock and unlock the doors! Extremely happy that I now have 2 fully functioning keys and 1 extra Incase I lock them in the car. Was in need of a key for a file cabinet which I really needed to get into today (Sat afternoon), I googled locksmiths and I found Sundial Locksmiths in Tempe, AZ . I called and spoke to the owner who was incredibly friendly and helpful. He even offered to delivery the keys. However, he was only 10-15 minutes away so I opted to go pick them up. His place was immaculate, the showroom was really nice with a huge selection of locks and keys . I would give him a 10+ for customer service, knowledge, and friendliness. I called to have a key made for my truck - I called western lock but was routed to other locksmith companies and after being told different prices by three different people, Sundial called me and said they were on the way. this is how I ended up with broken locks. Sundial took my truck door locks out and then since technician was in a hurry - left them loose and non-flush with my door handle, and the passenger missing the little cover-slide protection piece where the keys are inserted. Being those are to keep water out - I'm betting I need new locks sooner than later. I go to store the owner is immediately looking for any way to divert blame (locks have been changed before, this was three weeks ago (I said no it was 3 days ago) he then tried to turn it around like I was being rude when I certainly wasn't and made comments meant to discredit me even though they didnt have any pertinence to the situation whatsoever. Conversation ended with him telling me to prove they did the work (this, after he called the technician who did the work and had him explain what happened!). So I said that won't be a problem I used Amex to pay, and call records, and a witness. So it should be quite easy. Manager called me back later stating they would order the dust cover and take care of me. I'll update accordingly. Two stars because technician was very friendly. read more

We lost our key and spare key over the weekend to our 2016 Toyota Corolla. We called the dealership and got a very large quote for a replacement key in addition to a long wait time due to having to special order it. I went online and found Sundial Locksmith and Isaac not only gave us a great price he came to our home and programmed it in our garage! OMG! I have had the WORST luck with locking my keys in car lately! Worst luck trying to get a key made as well! Today the electronic part of my key for my truck fell apart. I called Sun Devil Locksmith and they had a locksmith call me back within 5 minutes. I talked with Kye and he got me setup within an hour to come in and rekey and reprogram the new keys within 20 minutes. So grateful for the awesome service I received. Sundevil locksmith has the worst customer service. We were quoted a different price from what we had to pay. The man that came to do work on our car was rude he had an attitude he was not friendly at all. We were charged $150 we gave Him $160 hoping he would give us our change which was $10. He didn't have change what kind of business drives around and doesn't have change? Yes the service was fast but he was very rude it was a horrible experience. Our daughter got someone else this time for our 2014 Golf. Our daughter brought in the 2 key fobs and it took the lady five minutes ti cut them. That was the nice part. Then she did not have the program ready for the vehicle that we scheduled the appointment for.. Price must have gone up in 6 months too. $250 out the door (almost 2 hours later) to cut and program 2 VW keys. At least they work. read more

I made an appointment there yesterday to have them crack open a floor safe in my house. It was for 11:AM this morning. No show at 11. No show at 12. By then I was prepping hard for a workshop I have to deliver in San Francisco tomorrow, Saturday, so I forgot about. I initially thought maybe, like lots of trades folks, they were just running late. When I took a break from workshop prep around 2PM and called them, I was told the counter person had wrote my phone number down wrong. Interesting because I remember going over it 2-3 times with her in the store to be sure she had it right. They wanted to come out 3ish but my then I was into other chores in and out of the house so I declined. I find another company to do this job when I get back from San Fran. read more

I asked Sundial Locksmith to come to the house, cut a spare key and program a FOB for my 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Alex arrived on time, was courteous, friendly, cut the key, but was unable to program the FOB using instructions found on the internet. I contacted Larry Miller Jeep who told me I would need to bring the suv down and they would program it using their equipment. I contacted Sundial explained the situation to them and requested a refund for the programming. Unfortunately the dispatch operator I was dealing with didn't understand the problem and was very uncooperative. I did ask to speak to the owner but he wasn't available. I don't post reviews like this until I have contacted the business first. Today I received a call from Kye who wanted to resolve the matter and apologize for how the situation was handled.
