For most of the time I've owned my truck, I've only had one key and one fob for it. The extra set has been the reigning champ of truck keys hide and seek for 3 years running. So naturally, I've treated this set of keys very well. But still, 5 years in and out of nowhere the fob splits. I'd been loyal too, but there was no salvaging what was left. I tried to get by and act like I was doing ok with just a key. But after only a couple days, I'd felt achy and strained from having to extend my limbs and turn right and then left- just to unlock the door. It was too much so I knew I had to get help. I did what most people would do, I went to amazon. Sadly, i learned I could buy a fob but the programming wasn't part of the deal. So I called my dealer and asked him to hook me up. He told me the fob alone was $175. And the programming would be $150. Not including tax. Nearly $400 for a remote key to my truck. Back in high school, $10 for you a new key at any old hardware store. Inflation. It's out of control. I didn't want to spend that type of money on a remote key, even though I was beginning to look and feel much like a caveman. So I gave it a shot and I googled "locksmith for 2015 GMC Sierra" and that lead me to Sundial Locksmith. I had a second key fob made for my Range Rover. The dealership was going to charge me north of 700$ to make a spare key and sundial only charged me 200$ (key included). It is extremely difficult to find companies that will work with Land Rover. I stumbled across these guys after calling multiple shops and getting denied service do to the brand of my car. These boys seemed so eager to tackle the project. When I pulled up to the shop nearly the whole team ran out to my car to take a look and to brainstorm solutions. Had a key fob fail days ago, car locked out mikes away from home. Called the dealership and totally no help too expensive and had to tow vehicle 20 miles to them. Looked locksmiths, found Sundial 's ad and they sounded perfect. Got a call back from Jason and he met me and my son at the vehicle. He was very friendly and professional. Found out he knows lots of our same friends in the auto world in the Valley. He got us a new fob programmed and we all had some great conversations. We were so happy and impressed with him and the service we asked for cards to hand out! Keeping one each of those cards should we ever need a locksmith again. I stopped by Sundial Locksmith to get our house keys duplicated. It was a small job, but I was treated like my business mattered. Great customer service from one of the owners -- she was extremely professional and efficient, even throwing in some colorful key identifiers for free. This is a clean, modern shop, and they have done a lot to make it welcoming, from the easy chairs to the bowls of candies and snacks. An added bonus for dog lovers is the adorable and playful Diesel, who was in the building that day. Kudos to the owner, who asked if I was comfortable with dogs before letting the pittie out to visit. Brought an off-brand deadbolt to Sundial Locksmith to see if they had a pin for the tail-piece. I had already gone to a big-box home improvement store and a hardware store to attempt a repair - neither had the needed pin. The Sundial smith went through his pin inventory and opened several new locks in an effort to find a compatible pin. He even attempted to mix tail-pieces from other locks. He refused to give up. After about 25 minutes I came to the realization that we were not going to be able to fix the lock. His willingness to go "above and beyond" is a rare trait these days. I locked myself out of my car and so I of course did anything anyone would do, I googled locksmith services. So glad I chose this one! They responded to my call quickly and sent someone right away. I locked my keys in my car in the Walgreens parking lot next door, and noticed the red locksmith sign right across the lot. Not having my phone, I walked over to them and they were still open despite it being pretty late on a weekday (around 930pm). The gentleman working was very kind and assured me it's no big deal, he walked over with me and opened the car in a jiff! He also cut me an extra door key for a great price after hearing me mention it's happened to me more times than I'm proud of. Saw these guys nearby online and decided to stop in, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the store and the supply they have that another locksmith didn't have. They made me a very specific car key (SRT Challenger) for almost 100 dollars less than the dealer quoted me. I was very happy considering I had been to several other locksmiths and they had to order the OEM key if I wanted that. Great locksmith! I saved their number in my phone, I hate to admit this but I lock my keys in my house or car all the time, and I will be using them from now on. They arrived quickly and the paperwork took longer than opening my front door. Usually when I call a locksmith it takes forever for them to get there and actually get the door open.
