Before I hired Pool Dudes, I already had tried Johnson Pools & Healdsburg Pool Services both of whom are scammers. My pool is salt water--this is the first pool I have ever owned--and I just assumed that because both companies were aware of this they would service the pool appropriately. Nope. Each just continued dumping chlorine into the pool which I later learned from a friend is absolutely NOT how a salt water pool is serviced. Johnson had even been the pool service company for the previous owners and had just taken the lazy way out (to avoid having to take out the salt water pool components and actually clean them) which left the 2 cleaning cells frozen and unable to work in the pool! Criminals!! When Larry got on the job, it took just about a week or two for him to repair what those two useless & LAZY other pool companies had destroyed and suddenly the salt water system was working perfectly. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY with "established" long running pool service providers!! Call Pool Dudes to get your pool needs taken care of. You will be SO happy you did!

I was lucky enough to connect with Larry at Pool Dudes. Just night and day from the previous company. He followed-up to get the business and inspect the situation. He generated a report after testing. He explained the situation and how he would recommend to proceed. He was immediately trustworthy and fair along with outlining a reasonable approach to moving things forward. Just a month or so in and we already are seeing a dramatic improvement. Larry really takes pride in addressing the problems and options along with making it happen. We are very happy and highly recommend Pool Dudes.

They serviced my pool on two weeks and they billed me for a month of service. The pool cleaning lady came out and did not even have experience with the equipment, cleaning person told me that my salt balance is off and asked her to are you going to adjust the the machine and she said that she does not know how to work it. I texted Seth and he said he does not all employees know how to adjust it and they all do a different job and not all have experience that is all in text. Then how are they going to keep my salt water adjusted properly. They do not send someone else to do it. Also there communication is terrible I texted Seth on few issues like some repair and replace a pump. Did not answer me till a few days after and said that he is sorry and but he is to busy and was not able to get to me. The future with this company would have been a disaster no experience for the employee with machines and equipment and bad communications. Also after two weeks not happy with service Seth says he is sticking me with the one year contract and trying to force me with 1800.00 dollars. Do not sign contract because they can give you terrible service and try to stick you with contract. He threatened me with the lawyer of suing me instead of trying to make matters better. I talked to Cloverdale pool about it and they said my concrete slab is moving and that's why the product failed. They were not responsible and did not want to fix it. I had a concrete expert come because Cloverdale pool requested it. The slab had not moved. Once I got concrete expert opinion, Cloverdale pool said they would fix it. Once they were not busy, they would schedule a date. We have not heard back from them. I paid $1200 for the job. They have not completed the job although they got paid in full. Cloverdale pool participates in unethical business practices. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CLOVERDALE POOL.

I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to build, repair, or replace any equipment for your pool. The first project a few years ago was to replace my outdated single-speed pump with a more energy-efficient variable-speed pump. I decided also to replace the old rusted mechanical-dial electrical box with an internet & app-connected Pentair EasyTouch panel, new automatic valves, and all new plumbing. I started with calling a few companies to come look at my setup to get some estimates. One company didn't return my message. Another company made an appointment with me and never showed up for it. Yet another company came out (the owner and his assistant) and they both spent almost an HOUR with me. They were very friendly and very knowledgeable, but they never sent over the estimate and didn't return any follow-up calls for some reason. Maybe they were too busy with other jobs. (If you are reading this review, perhaps you've encountered the same.) Justin at Viking Pool Service returned my calls, showed up on time for our appointment, proposed a much better solution than the other one that I did get and at a better price. He showed up for the job when he said he would and wow! Excellent craftsmanship. The way he re-organized the existing mess of PVC runs and valves and got everything installed was clever and way better than before. Sooo happy with the finished result! Love the convenience of running and programming the pool from my phone way more than I thought I would. This year, my pool heater finally went out and needed a replacement. I didn't bother to call anyone else this time for an estimate except Justin. Again, what an excellent job he did from start to finish. A day or so later we discovered a small leak coming from inside the heater, which turns out to have been some internal part that the manufacturer didn't seal correctly. From the get, their service was mediocre and spotty. Then I learned that despite the pool being salt water--which they were aware of since they actually wrote up the sellers condition report for the pool disclosure part of the buying process, Johnson just ignored that and NEVER serviced the pool as it was meant to be maintained in order for the salt water system to work. Instead they would just show up periodically and dump chlorine into the water--NOT what you do to a salt water pool. Consequently the salt water cells were never cleaned allowing the entire system to fail and refused to correct the situation. They are LAXY USELESS CRIMINALS who will happily accept your monthly payment yet do nothing to earn the money spent. STAY FAR FAR AWAY!
