I was recommended that Ann, who is also the owner is best person to see. Made a same day reservation for shellac manicure and Ann was able to see me 15 minutes before my appointment. Other reviewers mentioned that she is gentle but I thought she was rough. Ann kept filing my fingers instead of the nails and held my fingers really firm too. I showed her a picture of simple design and she was able to copy it but did a bad job with white chevrons. I didnt notice it first but when I got to my car, my thumb had a big bump of nail polish ‍ The only good? part was that it was on a Tuesday and there was 10% discount and she didnt charge me extra for the design. So let me start with the fact that my fiance and I were walk-ins at about 4:15, they close at 6. It's been a few years since I had my nails done full like this so I was feeling adventurous. I'm actually stuck between 2 stars and 3 stars because while they were open to walk ins (no one was with the nail techs) there are a few unfortunate booboos that will keep me from coming back. My full set with matte black and cat eye polish was 45. Pretty average. I also paid for a manicure for my fiance. I feel like my claw-almond-shaped nails arent all too hard to shape. I also feel if my left hand looked like my right I would be way happier. That being said there are issues with the right hand as well. Over all... they were nice but for 21 years of doing nails... you should be able to do way better than this. P.S. the second woman who did my fiance's manicure ended ripping at his cuticles on a couple fingers :c Anyone have any recommendations for another spot? :P read more

I went to Sunflower salon for a haircut. I showed LaDonna a picture of the hairstyle I wanted and she proceeded to butcher my hair. she cut it to short gave me bangs that were to short, there were pong prices of hair sticking out and a hole in the back. She seemed to think she did a wonderful job. For one thing she said she'd been doing hair for 40 years if that is the case it's time for her to retire. She changed $.69 once for a haircut that was supposed to be $44. There were 2 charges of 69 cents since she couldn't figure out the charge on her tablet. Worst haircut ever read more

When I first walked in asking if someone was available to do a full set the lady at the front seemed annoyed, didn't answer but just told me to sit down at one of the tables. When she sat down she grabbed my hands and started grinding away immediately, didn't even ask what I wanted yet. The entire time the manicurist was a bit rough and seemed to be rushing. I tried to ask about differences in nails and decals, but she stopped answering when I said I wouldn't be doing any today, but was curious on pricing for later. As other customers came in they were treated with the same standoffish attitude that I was, barely even being greeted after several seconds of walking in while there were employees sitting unoccupied. I decided to get my nails done for the first time got my for my birthday but the lady that did my nails messed up my thumb nail and kept putting lots of glue that it infected my nail and got swallowed. My thumb nail came off now and I went back to get my refund she said that she didn't know how to and that her manager was not there. I told her that they were hurting and wanted them off also my refund and she agreed but just took off my nails so aggressively and hurt some of my other nails while taking them off. I did not get any refund and paid $60 dollars just for nothing. She was unprofessional and said that she doesn't know how to refund and was ignorant. Cathy did a great job today! Called on a Sunday afternoon and they saw us right away. Kids manicure with flower was $10 and adult shellac manicure is $25 so prices about on par for the neighborhood. Like I've previously posted I've been faithful to this nail salon since I was 16 yrs. old and only for ONE reason. It's Ann, she's the only person I go too. She's gentle, attentive, creative as well as listens to what I've always asked for. She also does eyebrows (after many years of her doing my nails and toes. I then trusted her with my eyebrows and loved the way she'd wax them) So my 5 Stars are strictly because of her - she deserves recognition. She's amazing! I currently live out of the country but when I do visit OR which is a few times a year. She's the only one I'll go too. Idk what would happen with this nail salon If it wasn't for her, to be completely honest. The owner is a guy and his wife.. The wife used to be there all the time doing nails. But they've had a growing family thru the Years (I believe 3 kids) and now she stays home. There's an Older lady w/glasses & shoulder length grayish/black hair curled on the bottom Who is constantly there (the mother in-law) As I've seen for years and years. I never let anyone else but Ann do my nail. I've had another lady twice do it and she was very aggressive and hurt my nails/fingers. The last two times I went I made an appointment with Ann, she didn't get to me until about an hour later after the appointment was supposed to start. I was frustrated every time but I knew that she would do it the way I wanted it done. The second time I waited over an hour, she did a pretty shoddy job of my nails, like she was in a hurry. This is literally the only place I go, and I spend a lot of money here, I really wish that she would have taken her time. That being said, I'll still go back to her oh, she's the only one that can do my nails the exact way I want them. Next time I might even ask her to please slow down a little if she's feeling rushed. I went in today to get a mani pedi including a full set , was the only one in there and the ladies were talking and as soon as they noticed me rolled their eyes and welcomed me. I sat down and the pedicure was the best one I'd ever had! The manicure however was horrible, the lady started my full set off by putting my pinky nail on crooked and my coffin shaped nails were square. When I pointed out the issues ( politely ) she rolled her eyes and scoffed and fixed them. I then told her I wanted long red nails and the picture is what she gave me, the maple leaf was cute but she only did that because she messed up on my set. Nails are so thin and nail polish is bumpy. My review is based on the customer service. I didn't even get a chance to have my nails done. I was in the area, and was in need of a mani/pedi before my vacation. All the nail technicians were with someone when I walked in, so it was a little busy. No one acknowledged me, or greeted me. I waited a couple more minutes, nothing. So, I finally grab the attention of one of the ladies, and she says "Yes, what you want?" Hm, I guess that passes as a greeting. I told her I wanted a mani/pedi, and she pointed me towards the lobby and said "Ok, sit down." She didn't have me sign in, or give me an estimated wait time. I know I could have asked, but with the amount of people there, I just assumed maybe about an hour. Another person walks in, they receive no greeting as well. The nail technician treats her the exact same way. Then I overhear her tell the customer the wait would be 3 hours! Me and a friend wanted to get our nails done for prom but the salon she normally goes to was full for the day. So we decided to go to this one which was nearby. When the woman first sat in front of me she asked what i wanted and i told her almond shaped acrylics. Throughout the whole time she was shaping, i had to keep asking her to round out the tips of my nails. at first, the tips were almost squared off, then they turned into stilettos. After repeatedly asking her to round them off(to look like almond nails) she finally got to what i have now. also, while she was cutting the acrylics i had to tell her to go shorter multiple times to which she would tell me "that's too short" and just started shaping them without trimming them more. i'm not a confrontational person so i remained quiet. she was also quite aggressive with me and even cut me on one of my fingers, making me bleed(the lady who did my friends nails cut her and made her bleed TWICE, and she was just getting shellac). The nice thing about this place is that is in front of the playground. The lady in glasses asked me to wait for 30 minutes and made me wait for almost an hour. Just so she can tell me she can not do highlights. I asked her is she can do darker highlights, and she just left to work on other things and jist ignored me leaving me waiting again. I had to get up and go all the way to her because she kept ignoring me and started talking and cursing me in her language. So I told speak English i dont speak your language. I went in just to get a quick shellac French manicure, and the lady was rude when I pointed out the lines weren't that good and they looked uneven. When I pointed out the smudged white polish she said "No, that's nothing. That's cuticle oil." Like I was stupid and also when she finished the manicure she said "Wow, your hands are really dry."
