    Turkey bacon avocado sandwich
    Lori L.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a really fun spot to go to for breakfast or lunch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They had plenty of parking in the back, which was nice. I ordered the turkey and avocado sandwich with fries and my friend ordered the breakfast burrito and we were both happy with what we got. I asked for a side of ranch with my fries and the ranch was absolutely delicious. I would definitely come back and I would love to try something else to see what else they have on the menu!

We found Sunflower after moving to the neighborhood last year, and have been fans ever since. The food at Sunflower is excellent, the service is efficient and friendly, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the ambiance is inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is almost always packed with customers dining in for a late breakfast, and the laptop crowd, working with a coffee.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The people at Sunflower care about their product and providing a great experience to patrons, and they go above and beyond to show it: Recently, I've been picking up breakfast and lunch more often - my wife and I have a newborn, and Sunflower's breakfast sandwiches have been highly requested in our house. I casually dropped this detail while ordering this week, and was surprised with two chocolate chip cookies and a congratulatory note in our order. This was a total surprise, and the sweet treat was appreciated by two, sleep-deprived parents. Definitely give Sunflower a try. This place is one of our favorites in Greenville!

    Southern breakfast with sausage

Visited Sunflower Cafe today with the hubs. Parking lot was noticeably missing marked handicapped parking, but there were close/ramped spots available. This is a counter-order shop / bus your own table restaurant. They offer a lovely variety of pastries to choose from. Plenty of "fancy" coffee variations, though I ordered regular coffee. It was good. Seating in the restaurant is either wooden benches or metal chairs. This seems to be the trendy thing, but is not necessarily the most comfortable seating. That being said, the decor is simple and tasteful. We had breakfast, and both chose the Southern breakfast. Our breakfast was accurate and came out quickly. Both ordered our eggs scrambled, one with bacon and one with sausage. The eggs were good, but very well done. I happen to like them that way, so it's all good! Sausage and bacon were both good--especially the bacon which was a thick cut and the portion plentiful. What stole the show, though, was the Adluh Mills grits. Smooth, buttery, creamy, and served hot in a bowl. Delicious! That means a log coming from this picky Southern gal! Ciabatta toast comes with the Southern breakfast, which is a very pleasant change from the usual fare at other places. I suspect that once word gets out, this will be a popular spot!

Gouda Burger not to be confused with "The Good Burger" from Arby's I saw this burger on my Facebook feed and was like..... the koolaid man! Oh yeahhhhhhhh sweet and savory is my FAV combination. They had me at housemade bacon jam. It was a big big burger! I couldn't finish it all but it was delicious for sure. I also heard the pastries are amazing so I had to pick up a couple. I grabbed the Cinnamon bun which was HUGE as you can see. I took a small bite but it needs to be warmed up for me to decide if I love it. I also picked up the apple cake with maple frosting. THIS THANG MADE THE WHOLE TRIP WORTH IT. Moist (sorry if this triggered you), not overly sweet, chunk of apples and yumminess. I would come back literally just for this cake alone. I'm excited to go back and try some of the breakfast menu items soon. Oh and I almost forgot, the service was great for pickup! They are very friendly.

Chicken salad sandwich and tomato soup
    Christine A.

I was craving a sandwich and soup and found Sunflower with a quick Yelp search. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is very dull, almost feels like you're eating at a fast food joint.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was excellent, the lady who took our order was super friendly. I got the chicken salad sandwich and tomato soup. I thought the soup was pretty good, but the sandwich was pretty terrible. Chicken salad had almost no flavor and the bread as you can see in the picture was rubbery and burnt. My mom got a breakfast sandwich, she said it was ok but nothing special. She also ordered without tomatoes because of her heartburn and it came with them on it, not a big deal but a lack of attention to detail. Expected more out of this place with the previous reviews, maybe we hit it on an off day but would not recommend from this experience.

We stopped in on a road trip down to Atlanta. Life is too short to eat bad food so I had done my homework beforehand and this place was on our radar. Service was excellent, the food was delicious, and such a cute little sandwich shop! Upfitted and tidy location. Good work!

    S.E.C Sandwich

Tasty breakfast spot. I got the S.E.C. sandwich, which was greasy, flavorful, and hot! The bun was definitely fresh which elevated it to another level. Only complaint was that the sausage patty was a bit small. The coffee was good as well

    Cheese Grits

My wife and I tried Sunflower while on vacation in Greenville. Having grown up in Greenville, I knew that the building had been one the first Pizza Huts in Greenville from the early 1970s, then a succession of other restaurants and bars over the last 25 years. So it was great to see another restaurant opening in the same building which I had many pleasant memories from eating pizza in the 70s. We both had the Bacon Egg & Cheese on a homemade Ciabbotta Roll and Cheese Grits. The sandwiches were delicious and bacon and eggs were cooked perfectly. The Ciabbotta Roll was baked on site and was perfectly suited to go with the breakfast sandwich. It would be great with a hamburger or a Italian coldcut sandwich. The Cheese Grits were very creamy and tasty, though they could have been better with a little less salt. This is why only complaint witah the grits. My wife had coffee to drink and I had a Latte. The Latte was outstanding, much better than several of the coffee chains that have cropped up across Columbia in recent years. Not only was the Latte delicious but it was was prepared by a talented Barrista who knew how to present to drink with the picture of a flower. The decision to try Sunflower was guided by the Yelp Top Breakfast List in Greenville. The list did not mislead: Sunflower is top spot to eat breakfast in Greenville!

Back - Turkey Bacon Ranch Front - Italian Both and the fries delicious

Great breakfast and lunch spot! My breakfast was so good I came back a second time in the weekend to get lunch. For breakfast I got the SEC sandwich and added a side of potatoes. They were delicious and a good portion and quality for the price. The front counter staff were so friendly and helpful. For lunch I got the Italian sandwich and my friend got the Turkey Bacon Ranch, both with a side of fries. We enjoyed them and again, great portion and quality for the price. The Italian was a fresh and unique-seeming take on the classic. I really enjoyed the vibe and decor inside. Unique design, a lot of natural light, and good background music playing. Looking forward to returning and bringing others to enjoy it as well!

I've been a few times and as a Greek, enjoy this restaurant…read more The restaurant is clean, and the decor is authentic. I think the menu offers quite a bit and overall the food it tasty. The one thing I would offer as constructive criticism is really watch the amount of dry oregano you add after the fact. Most of what we received had more than a dusting, which isn't pleasant with dried herbs. (Note, I love oregano and cook with it all the time. This was just excessive). The other thing I would note is there isn't that spirit of hospitality when you are there, which is what the Greeks are known for. Service was I'd say a bit below average- for example, we ordered a bunch of appetizers, and were done with quite a bit of it. When our food came out the waitress tried to deliver all the food on an already crowded table. We had to ask her to remove the dirty, empty plates first. We also had people run out of water, and she never came back to refill. The other thing was it was clearly a celebratory dinner. It would have been nice to at least ask what was going on. Not looking for anything, but typically a server would at least chat you up. All that said, we will be back and recommend this place to others. Would just recommend tasting the food before it does out to make sure its not caked with dried oregano, and bring a little more of that Greek spirit to the business.

We originally fell in love with the Chicken Kabobs, but after trying the salmon, it quickly became our favorite dish. The salmon is perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. We live in Asheville, so dining at Pomegranate on Main is always a special treat. We especially love the cranberry basmati rice and always ask to substitute it for the basmati rice mixed with dill and lima beans. Our waiter, Christian W., happily made the change for us. Christian provided outstanding service throughout our meal--friendly, attentive, and eager to ensure everything was just right. We also love the Pomegranate Martini and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys martinis. During this visit, we were skipping alcohol, and Christian suggested the Pomegranate Mojito instead. It was refreshing, flavorful, and absolutely delicious--a perfect non-alcoholic option. What keeps us coming back is the consistency. The food is always excellent, the service is always top-notch, and the entire dining experience is one we look forward to every time. Pomegranate on Main is well worth the trip, and we highly recommend it!

The food tasted just like my best friend's mom's home cooking--super authentic and full of flavor. Definitely recommend trying the stews, especially the fesenjan. Being right on Main Street makes it perfect for a date night--grab dinner and then go for a stroll after.
