I had my suglasses tuned up by one of the "associates" at the Barracks location, where the the lenses were broken within 5 minutes of handling. Since the frame was discontinued, I was offered very limited options as far as replacements. Long story short - my sunglasses were broken and was given an insulting 10% discount on my next purchase. I would consider playing "frogger" on I-495 before ever going into that shop again.

I thought they were beyond repair, but they're actually more comfortable now than they were before. I really appreciate her help. I had already visited other MyEyeDr offices to shop and compare, as I was looking to get a backup pair of prescription sunglasses. I found most of the other offices far more customer-friendly than this one. With the exception of Avory, who was most impressive in her courtesy, professionalism and superb customer service skills, I found the front staff lacking in their approach to customer service. Unfortunately, I did not have an opportunity to work with Avory. However, I continually observed her performance with other customers while I was working with Rashonda. Avory genuinely seemed happy to be working there and always verbally welcomed guests as they entered the office. Other staff appeared to have a perfunctory "just going through the motions" attitude about their work. I am rating this office three stars, rather than only two stars, because everyone seemed to be technically competent in their trade. Thus, if you care only about technical proficiency, then this office is fine. But if you're like me and you want not only technical competence from your eye doctor experience, but a friendly, engaging interaction where you feel welcomed and glad you came, then I don't think the Pantops (Jefferson Parkwy) office is your best option. If you are lucky to work with Avory, then you should walk away feeling very pleased with your experience. Otherwise, with the other front staff, I recommend looking elsewhere. I certainly plan to choose another MyEyeDr office after I pick up my current pair of sunglasses soon! Thank you, Avory, for setting a good role-modeling example for your colleagues. It's an adorable shop run by an amazing group of incredible, caring people who put a great deal of time and effort into curating a welcoming environment for people from all walks of life. They are very selective about the items that they agree to consign, so shoppers have a ton of high-quality, in-style options to choose from. It's honestly dangerous to go in there because there is always something cute that I MUST have; however, if you have a clothing problem like I do, when you're not buying new, you can at least shop with a clean conscience! On the other end, the consignment process is simple, clear, and quick, and you are reasonably compensated when your items sell, especially if you opt for store credit payout. The dressing rooms are honestly my favorite part. When you walk in, you're greeted by hundreds of sticky notes with positive affirmations posted by other shoppers. It's like the positivity and immediate camaraderie you find in the womens' restroom at a club (but without all of the bottom-shelf liquor). Shop small, and shop secondhand!

The optometrist was excellent and the staff was nice. Unfortunately, in my case, I waited two weeks…read morebefore I received my glasses. When I received the glasses there was no tint in them. From looking at my online status, it appears that my glasses were ordered a week after my eye exam. MyEyeDr re-ordered my tinted lenses, which also kept being delayed. As of today, I have still not received them. I also received no updates from MyEyeDr. I had to either call or go into the store for updates. In the meantime, I ordered another pair of glasses and lenses online, and received numerous updates from the online store. The glasses from the online store arrived in 10 days and were much less expensive and of equal or better quality. I would not buy glasses from MyEyeDr again, but I would see their optometrist.
