They have a good selection of sunglasses, although I ultimately didn't end up buying a pair. I have purchased several pairs of sunglasses at this location (Ray Ban Wayfarers) and the last purchase was in July for $145 of which I got a $20 discount because it was my birthday! My salesperson was John and the level of service is excellent. My only complaint is that the sales people have a tendency to "hover" by the door when you walk-in and that can be a little too over the top! This is one of my favorite stores on The Promenade and I recently received in the mail another discount which was $20, $50 and $75 off based on price of the purchase! I keep these reminders and use the discounts if I'm in the market for a new pair of glasses. Right now I have four pairs of sunglasses of which was one pair folds (Persol). I highly recommend the Sunglass Hut and this location for all of your optical choosing's! read more

Horrible customer service. I was assisted by Sasha and quite frankly it seem like she was dreading being there. Awful customer service when she thought I was just there to browse, but once I picked an item to purchase her attitude changed and she tried to engage in a conversation and switched to being a little friendly. I guess you have to buy something for them to put some effort in the service they provide. I have come here a couple of times and they have all been similar in attitude. I am not sure if it is because of the area and what they probably usually deal with considering that it has gotten worse over the years BUT when there is a nice customer, regardless of whether they will buy something or not, they should know to treat people with genuine courtesy and respect. read more

Would not recommend. We went there on a superbowl Sunday and got bombarded with annoying questions. The customer service was the worst I've ever experienced. The staff really needs to be trained better. I don't know why that particular staff made it sound like there are better place to be, as if he didn't want to be there himself. We ended not buying anything and walked back out. William (staff) had the audacity to say something along the line of "at least you guys bother to come in." It was very forceful and uncomfortable for us. He was very pretentious and borderline shady when he was interacting with us. I'm glad I did not spend a dime in that store. Terrible! read more

What a great experience! Staff was extremely helpful when shopping and lead me to get two pairs of glasses for one great deal - one for me and other for my mother . Long story short -My pair was defected and screw came lose, so that pair ended up costing me a trip back which was a great experience. Quick and lovely! Biggest Sunglass Hut I've ever been in. Great staff and plenty of them too. The prices were outrageous so we didn't buy. Tried to get my wife to spoil herself but she didn't feel the prices reflect the product. They do have a great tiny little stand with about a dozen of glasses that are on sale and would warrant a visit to check out so if you are in the area, visit and ask for the sale stand. read more

I give two stars because my sales lady Nicole did a fantastic job at help me pick out the perfect pair of glasses. She was incredibly helpful and insightful. She was non-intrusive yet always there when I needed to ask a question or get a pair of frames to try on. Perfect timing and excellent taste. If not for Nicole, you would get one star. A couple days after my purchase of a $300 pair of Maui Jim's, they fell off a dining room table and cracked the plastic that held the frame together. While dropping anything could understandably cause damage, a three foot drop should not have ruined a new pair of Maui Jim's. THE REASON FOR THE TWO STARS.........the manager refused to exchange or return and directed me to MJ customer service to resolve the issue. After spending $300 at a store you would hope they would at least provide a modicum of customer service. After my experience, I don't get the feeling they care, but I will be taking my business to a completely different company moving forward. ADDED NOTE: This is found on Sunglass Hut's Receipts: "ASSURED QUALITY - You have high standards; we have high standards. If your sunglasses are defective within 24 months of purchase, we'll replace them. We do not offer spare parts or repair services. But I still remember going into the Sunglass Hut at my local 909 mall to get cheap Arnettes back in high school. The employees must work on commission because as soon as we entered we were chatted up by a person "Where are you from?" "Where is that?" and he then followed us around as we browsed the selection. There is a large selection of pricey sun glasses. My husband just needed a utilitarian pair to replace some old broken ones. We both felt a bit uncomfortable and under pressure to buy, so we left. I was a bit surprised that my replacement lenses were actually cheaper here than compared to the other Sunglass Hut's. I mean this place is all touristy, but for whatever reason they had in stock my lenses and it was cheaper...score! And compared to the other Sunglass Hut stores, this place seemed to be a lot bigger; chairs for those bored to sit and wait and pretty much has a better design as well. So if you're doing your touristy 3rd Street Promenade visit and you're looking for some really cool glasses, where the customer service is pretty decent despite having to see tourists on a daily basis kind of deal, then, yah, I would probably drop on by to check out the store. Oh, they also have this little photographic machine where you can take your own picture and wear any sunglass in the store and you can just email it to yourself when your done...and it's free!! read more

However, when we had a question on restrictions for a coupon, she asked an older women with short red hair to assist us on the coupons restrictions. This used to be my favorite Sunglasses Hut to purchase sunglasses, but today the vibe has definitely changed to unwelcoming and intrusive. The associates line the store like soldiers and make you feel like you "don't belong" in the store. Was greeted by an associate stating that the wall I was looking at was the "high end" sunglasses which seemed very unnecessary to state. I remember when this store used to be fun just to browse, try on sunglasses and eventually make a purchase... those days are over. The Fox Hills branch is smaller but they make you feel more at home. Came in here to return a pair of tiffany and co sunglasses that I bought at another location and the guy helping me took forever to return the damn sunglasses. The DMV works faster then this guy. He was incompetent and slow as a turtle. Worst Store Ever! They convinced me to purchase $500 Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses that were slightly too tight on me, saying that the style I purchased is flexible and stretches after a few wears, and that it would be the perfect fit in a few month's time. After that, I came back in on two separate occasions (once to another Sunglass Hut) to return the sunglasses. Both times the sales associates convinced me that by doing a "heat stretch" and wearing the glasses a few months longer, they would stretch out. They convinced me that the glasses would stretch and, if they didn't, not to worry because they have the most flexible return policy and bringing them back would not be a problem. So I kept them because I liked them, hoping they would fit. However, they were basically delaying me each time in order for their 90day return policy to run out. I later visited a Lenscrafters (their sister company) to do a third heat stretch, per Sunglass Hut's recommendation. Immediately after seeing my sunglasses, the associate at Lenscrafters told me that this style of sunglasses is in fact the MOST rigid type of design and CANNOT be heat stretched since there is no metal frame around the lens. He specifically told me that heat stretching would cause these sunglasses to un-glue and anyone who sells sunglasses would have known this. So they lied to me each time to make a big sale and then prevent a return from taking place. Never shopping at ANY Sunglass Hut again. read more

I came here before, only to be ignored or not helped as much as I am in other stores. Yesterday at morning, I arrived here hoping to make a purchase. Sunglass Hut was supposed to open at 10am, but I came pretty early. The door was locked but I had to ask when they were going to open, as they didn't even had their schedule anywhere I can see it. One of the clerks saw me and signaled to me with his hands that the store will open at 10, so I went to a different store until then. Once I came back, the clerks were still over 10 minutes late opening the store. They obviously saw me but they ignored me, so a bit after, I knocked the door a bit to get their attention. They looked back again, and then proceeded to do what they were doing. I never had been to a boutique where the clerks see you and then completely disregard you, especially when they're the ones 30 minutes late opening the store. At least they can acknowledge me by coming up to me in person and apologizing for the inconvenience. That's how proper customer service is. If the people who work at this place can't even offer basic courtesy, what's the chance of them treating their customers any better in-store? What a terrible service. I left and got excellent service elsewhere. read more
