I walked in with my dad who had two pairs of glasses that needed repairing today. An optical technician, Saeed, who was sitting behind one of the eyewear stations, looked up and greeted us with a smile and inquired what brought us in. I handed over my dad's two glasspairs and asked him if they could be fixed. The first one had one of its lenses fallen out which took him a few short minutes to fit it back in with a small tool. The second one had come undone on one side as one of its screws had become rusty and no longer kept held the lense. Saeed took that pair to the back and after 15 minutes came back with it repaired. My dad tried both of them on and couldn't be happier with the results. We also shopped for a pair of sunglasses and the staff behind the counter was very cordial and helped us with making a selection. I got an eye exam for glasses and was welcomed by an employee, as were other customers. I am pleased with the optometrist, Dr. Le. She explained things well and took time with her answers. There were more exams here than at my previous eye doctor. They pushed for me to get a retina check as well, but I get that taken care of elsewhere. Good customer service via phone. Unlike another LensCrafter location, when I asked how much my co-pay would be, I did receive a call back with the information. I feel like the exams were thorough. A young man conducted the initial ones. He was nice and professional. It was off putting though, when it came time to pay. After I decided to donate to a charity LensCrafters supports, he thanked me for my "small donation". I doubt I'll buy eye glasses here. They have a great selection but I need Asian-fit frames, of which they have only a few. But if you have stronger eyes that don't require thick lenses or a full nose bridge, you'll fit some interesting frames in a fashionable range of styles, colors and designer brands. I saw some Swarovski ones with have huge crystals on the temples! The frame prices are on the pricier end. They have a few parking spots in the back and plenty of metered street parking. I hope to see more Asian-fit frames here in the future. C'mon, designers, this is LA. There's a demand! read more

If you are trying to do an eye exam here it's through another company. You don't find that out until once you're there signing paperwork and get a receipt. Insurance is also different and if you are trying to get a statement for CC's it will be under a different bill of sale and not LensCrafters. read more

I regret ordering from LensCrafters online. I purchased a simple inexpensive pair of glasses because I desperately need to see when I drive while I'm being treated by an opthalmologist. My prescription is likely to change within 6 months or so. It's been over a week and the glasses have not even shipped. The last 2 times I needed glasses, went to Target and I had glasses in 3 days ready for me to pick up at the nearest store. I had an amazing experience with LensCrafters! I first went to the West LA store on Pico, where they had the frames I wanted but no onsite lab for the lenses. Then I checked out the Santa Monica store on Wilshire, which had the lab but not the frames. This could have been a hassle, but Betty at the West LA store and Daniel at the Santa Monica store went above and beyond to coordinate everything for me. They made sure I got the exact frames I wanted and arranged a next-day turnaround for my prescription sunglasses--all for around $300! I honestly felt like I had experienced a small miracle. I was sold a pair of glasses that became defective after 14 months. The business is located in Strongsville, Ohio. The scratch resistant coating is starting to come off of the lenses. The manager said I must have been soaking the glasses and acetone. The only thing she would do is replace the glasses and kind if I bought the warranty and spent another $30 The total would be $70. I felt that I should not have to pay a penny more and that glass it should last many years certainly much more than 14 months. I was in desperation mode needing new glasses bc I lost two pairs when I moved. This location happened to be the closest to me while running errands and boy am I happy I chose this location. I called to make sure they were accepting walkins and the gentleman over the phone was super nice and accommodating. The optician, Chris was very professional and nice throughout the whole process. Dr. Shah was super nice and made me feel welcomed and comfortable the while time I saw her as well. I ended up choosing ray ban glasses from the SALE section. To be completely honest, none of the styles really wowed me which was a bummer. But this far, I'm enjoying my new glasses that were desperately needed. I decided to get an eye exam today. I called LensCrafters on Pico and they gave me an appointment right away. With the whole Covid situation I had been pushing the exam. The lady on the from is extremely nice and helpful. I arrived 30 minutes before my appointment and they took me in . Everything around looks very clean. Everybody wears a mask and there's hand sanitizer available. The lady that did my pre exam was super nice and fun. I loved her energy. She explained everything she was or was going to do. All the equipment was clean in front of me. The doctor was super informative. She gave very helpful tips. Also recommended future options. She answered all my questions. I got ghosted by LensCrafters. I bought trendy, thick Gucci frames a couple of months ago that turned out to be problematic. I noticed deep indentations on my nose and was advised by one of their advisors to add nose pads which didn't help much. I called them several times to ask about options--exchange, refund, lost cause-- whatever, and I never got a response. I stumbled upon a different LensCrafters, at the Century City mall, and they suggested replacing the lenses with ultra-thin ones that could possibly help. They offered to call the original store and have them call me, which I still didn't hear from them. At this point, I'll take my losses, and lesson learned. The assistant Zoreh is an angel. I never had contacts before and have this fear of touching my eyes. After trying and failing to put on contacts for an hour I was so frustrated. And then Zoreh came in. She was so patient and experienced about coaching trainees. She guided me again and again until I succeeded. I would have given up wearing contacts if she wasn't there today. I think the week day and Saturday staff are generally better than the Sunday ones. I've had two optometrists here and both of them (Dr. Lai and this other female doctor) are AMAZING. Just had my annual eye exam with Dr. J. Her office is up to date with covid protocols: temperature and question screening, social distancing, mask enforced, special trays for carrying touched glasses, I saw multiple wipe downs of surfaces, instruments cleaned before my exam, and I was even told the air system is bringing fresh air from outside rather than recirculating indoor air. This gave me a lot of reassurance of mine and the staffs safety. My exam went very well and purchased some new sunglasses, the staff were very helpful. Lenscrafters lost my favorite frames, failed to reimburse me for them, and wasted two months of my time. The upside of my experience with Lenscrafters is that I found designerframesoutlet.com. I got a complete pair of perfect glasses with the identical designer frames that Lenscrafters lost for $224.55 - less than half of what Lenscrafters charged for just the lenses (Lenscrafters charged $505.34 for the lenses). Designerframesoutlet.com will also replace lenses in frames that you send them for less than half of what Lenscrafters charges. I have no affiliation with designerframesoutlet.com, they were just my lucky find when Lenscrafters lost my frames. See below for the details of my Lenscrafters experience. I took a pair of glasses to Lenscrafters to have the lenses changed and paid $505.34 for new lenses. A couple of weeks later the Assistant Store Manager called me to say that my glasses had arrived at the lab, but that the lab was now unable to find them. She said she wanted to wait a few days to see if my glasses turned up and that she would call me on Monday. I DID NOT RECEIVE A CALL FROM THE ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER ON MONDAY. I called her a couple of days later and she told me they still couldn't find my glasses and I could pick another frame from their store. I explained to her that the reason I brought Lenscrafters my glasses was because I liked those frames and had paid a lot of money for them. I told her that I wanted Lenscrafters to reimburse me for my frames that I entrusted to them, that they subsequently lost, so that I could buy the same frames again (Lenscrafters did not carry those frames). I emailed her the receipt for the glasses, and she said she would need to ask the Regional Manager about reimbursing me. She said she would call me the next day. I DID NOT RECEIVE A CALL FROM THE ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER THE NEXT DAY. I called her again and she said she had not gotten a response from the Regional Manager. I then asked her to refund my credit card for the lenses and to provide me with the name and number of the Regional Manager. She refunded the lenses but said she couldn't give me the Regional Manager's information and that she would ask either the Regional Manager or the Store Manager to call me. I DID NOT RECEIVE A CALL FROM EITHER THE REGIONAL MANAGER OR THE STORE MANAGER. I then emailed Lenscrafters corporate headquarters and received an email back that I would receive a response in 5 days. I did not receive a response in five days. I contacted them a total of 5 times. I got a reply back that they were currently waiting for a response from upper management. I DID NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE FROM UPPER MANAGEMENT. I could not wait any longer for glasses, so I was forced to buy new glasses elsewhere. I found the identical frames that Lenscrafters had lost on designerframesoutlet.com. The complete pair of glasses (frames and lenses) only cost me $224.55 - LESS THAN HALF OF WHAT LENSCRAFTERS CHARGED JUST FOR THE LENSES. Designerframesoutlet.com sent me a perfect pair of glasses in 10 days. More than two months after Lenscrafters lost my glasses, I finally got a call from the store manager. He said the lab had now found my glasses, saw that the lenses had been refunded, and mailed my glasses back to the store with a note that the order had been cancelled. He asked me what I wanted to do. I explained that I couldn't keep waiting, that they told me my glasses had been lost, and I had bought new glasses with identical frames. I told him I had now paid for two pairs of identical glasses and that I had no use for two pairs of the same glasses. I again asked him to reimburse me for the glasses. HE SAID HE WOULD HAVE TO ASK THE REGIONAL MANAGER. At that point I told him I was done dealing with Lenscrafters and asked him to mail me back my glasses. He mailed them back to me and now I have two identical frames and had to pay for glasses twice. I then got an email from Lenscrafters corporate office that they received a response from management and that my ticket had been closed. The bottom line of my story about my experience with Lenscrafters is this: I highly recommend designerframesoutlet.com. TIP: If you need your PD number, call the last place where you got glasses.
