I am shocked of the actual service that you get at a place that indicates they've been around for over 30 to 40 years. I went in there to have my glasses adjusted from a broken pair of glasses to an updated new pair of glasses and the technician could not figure out the adjustment on the lens. The three staff that work there were unresponsive Rude if anything unprofessional the service and quality at this place has been lost and it's absolutely sad. If you're looking for a place that has a technician who understands glasses prescriptions, any of the stuff that happens as it relates to getting your prescription filled. I am so sad to say that the three ladies who work there have not been trained and what they were sharing didn't make any sense. SAM IS THE BEST! Accidentally extended one of the legs of my very fragile Ray-Ban glasses and got recommended Complete Eye Care Center from a colleague. It was not too busy and Sam took me in, fixed my sunglasses in less than 5 minutes, and then made me put them on for a free adjustment so that they would fit better. Sometimes the weight is heavy--but it doesn't take much to lift a little of it and raise someone's spirits. One person at the Complete Eye Care Center did exactly that for me this holiday season. I've gone there over the years because their prices are reasonable, they're friendly, and the location is convenient. Glasses are expensive. I wear mine as long as I possibly can and try to repair them whenever I can because replacing them isn't always affordable. I also want glasses that fit my face and make me feel good--after all, they're one of the first things people notice. That can be a difficult balance, especially since the frames and the lenses with bells and whistles that really work, tend to cost more. Still, I kept coming back for all the right reasons. Now I'll go there forever--because of one simple act of kindness. On Christmas Eve, the nose piece on one side of my glasses broke. I was out running errands and not feeling great. A few recent accidents have made it hard to walk, hard to breathe, and honestly, life had become a bit of a struggle to hobble through. I managed to get there just before closing and asked if they could fix the nose piece. I knew if I didn't get it done then, I'd be waiting a week or more for places to reopen. I couldn't make it far inside, so I sat down. A young woman offered to help get them fixed. Then a man who had been sitting off to the side stood up and said, "I'll take care of that." Less than five minutes later, both nose pieces looked and felt brand new. He even buffed my dirty glasses so thoroughly that it felt like I had a new prescription--I could see clearly again. I reached into my pocket to pay, and he said, "No problem, this one's on me." I could have paid. He knew that. He was simply helping someone he sensed might be having a hard time. He didn't know anything about me, though my physical struggles were probably obvious. He just said, "Happy holidays," and went back behind the counter. Looking back on this holiday season, I can't say I encountered many people who truly understood--or acted on--the gift of kindness. He did. It was small. But it was big to me. Run as far as you can--this place is a scam! Optometrists are already expensive, but the pricing at this place is absolutely insane. They advertise single vision frames and lenses for $59, but that's only if your prescription is under -2. Since I'm -4.5, my price jumps to $215. You're telling me I have to pay nearly $200 for the lowest quality frames? If that's not a scam, I don't know what is. I came here years ago because it was affordable, even though the staff wasn't great. I stuck with them because the prices made it worth it. Coming back now, I can't believe how opportunistic they've become. With prices like this, there's no justification for such a pricing structure--especially in this economy. This is like going to a store where the XS shirt is $20, but the L is suddenly $60. What is that?? And don't even talk about discounts--where are they? Warby Parker and other brands offer glasses for $120, no matter your prescription. This place is just taking advantage. To top it off, when I questioned outrageous prices, the staff member was rude. This business fits that criteria, they are friendly, professional, and offer competitive pricing. They even do same day lenses because the lab is inside the store. I used to come here for years, but I moved away and recently came back to the area, so I went back expecting the same great service and prices I used to get years ago. I will never be going back. They do an eyeglass exam for $99 or $50 if you buy glasses with them. Contact exams cost extra. My insurance paid for my exam so check your cost before you get an exam. Regardless of whether your insurance pays or you pay it out of pocket, you have the right to get your prescription and take it elsewhere, so I highly recommend that you do that! I wanted to use my own frames and just get new lenses with anti reflective lenses and a slight tint. A single vision low prescription (under 3) quote was $500!!!! Then they tried the used car tactic of asking what I could afford (I told them $200) and they came back with, "The best we can do is $400"! Their "reduced price" was after whispers between employees after I turned down every up sell. Outrageous hustle and prices will have me going elsewhere or online for all my new glasses. I found another brick and mortar optician and several online places that offered new frames and more upgraded lenses for less than half off the "reduced" price these people offered me. I was very offended by their used car hustle tactics as well as their ridiculous prices. read more

I've been a loyal customer of Complete Eye Care decades, purchasing 2-4 pairs every year as I update my glasses yearly.  I will not be coming back. I recently had a Vision Exam at Lenscrafters, then visited Complete Eye Care with my new prescription. I picked out two lowest priced frames for basic reading glasses (no extras like anti-glare add-ons). The saleswoman mentioned my lens will be more expensive due to my +2.5 prescription, and charged an exorbitant $740 for two pairs of basic reading glasses in discounted $79 frames. I questioned why I paid about that amount for FOUR pairs (2 Bi-focals and 2 Reading) just last year here with a similar prescription. She replied that lens for this Reading glasses are better than for Bi-focals, which made no sense (again I got 4 pairs last year). She then quickly offered another pair for "free", which I declined. A Bi-focal on a designer (Ray-Ban) frame AND a Computer glasses at Lenscrafters a few days ago cost me HALF of what Complete Eyecare charged me for basic 2 single vision Reading glasses!! The manager finally refunded me $380 (to her credit, hence 2 star rating instead of 1), but this experience left a very bad taste in my mouth. I am disappointed and upset, and find their business practice deceptive and questionable. read more

I wasn't sure whether or not I was going to write a review because I was going to call and ask for my prescription. Well, the prescription isn't right so I'm not going to bother. They claim on here to be "discount", they are far from that and *very* expensive. They got me to pay extra for "anti-glare", they don't do what they are supposed to since there is still glare, and are scratched to hell in just a few months even though I use the spray they gave me and only cloths meant for glasses. The optometrist that was there that day was a horrible man! I should have left right then and there as I would have saved myself a ton of money with two pair of glasses that have the wrong prescription. 1) He constantly yelled at me and talked over me. 2) He argued with me about stupid crap that he had no business doing so. 3) He brought up religion and had no business doing that either. 4) He was generally a horrible person. 5) I think he was so busy yelling at me he did my prescription wrong. 6) He said my current glasses "were illegal to drive with". Actually, they are just fine to drive with and I see better with my old ones than I do with the ones I got here!!!!! 7) I guess the regular optometrist wasn't there for the day and this guy was a temp. A great shop that can address all of your eye care needs. First of all, they offer competitive prices. You get what you pay for most times in life and eye care is no different. They offer different products of all levels no matter your budget. The shop is big, clean, well organized, and properly managed. Most importantly (for me anyways) is the service. The team really knows what they're doing, offering expert advice without trying to up sell you. Everyone in the shop is experienced and knows how to address each customer's specific needs. It's not stuffy like your typical optometrist office and you can tell the the team not only enjoys helping customers but enjoys the company of each other which is critical when offering a service as important as eye care. The most unprofessional eye glass establishment I have ever encountered! Today, I went to have the nose guard on glasses I had purchased here re-attached, after it fell off. They said they didn't have a screw to fit, even though they made the frames! I was told my option was to leave the glasses and maybe, maybe they might find someone who had a screw; or else, I could purchase new fames and probably new lenses, since they no longer had a frame for my current bifocal lenses. The technician was friendly, but obviously incompetent. The sales person couldn't care less. As a result, I went to the more expensive Eyes Of The Marina, near me, and they fixed the nose guard in seconds, at no additional charge! And they will get all my future business. You get what you pay for! After receiving an apology from the owner, who claimed he would "refund or replace" to make me consider returning to the store, I called and spoke to Christina, who lied and said they offered to fix my glasses. which they definitely did not. Her manner was very dismissive ; in fact, she was annoyed that I had written bad review on Yelp. read more

They were able to get me in my beautiful Tom Ford prescription glasses with the signature transition gen 8 technology, high index, anti blue light reflection, all the works!!! The turnaround time was only a few days, which was extremely reasonable. The prescriptions are spot on, they were extremely responsive and walked me through the process. They have a fairly decent amount and selection of phrase, and their prices are very reasonable!! They will do whatever they can to accommodate their customers.
