The service has always been great and the atmosphere is very welcoming, which is why my family and I kept coming back. However, I recently came back yesterday and was honestly really heartbroken to find out that my favorite items are no longer being served. The pozole ramen and the chicharrón ramen are gone, and to top it off, the pork bellies are gone too. Those dishes were the main reason we would come here in the first place. I had actually been looking forward to them because I was having a really rough day, so finding out they were all gone was really disappointing. No offense to the restaurant, but without those items on the menu anymore, there's really no reason for us to return. It's a shame because those dishes were what made this place special for us.

The garlic ramen was rich, flavorful, and comforting, with perfectly cooked noodles and a broth that clearly had time and care put into it. The chicken tonkatsu bun was another standout--crispy chicken, soft bun, and great sauce that tied everything together. On top of the food, the atmosphere was fun and energetic, and the service was friendly and attentive. This spot hits on flavor, quality, and vibe. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back.

So I ended up here because my regular spot was closed on Monday. I looked for something nearby and…read morethis place came up. The menu photos looked good and the reviews were reviewing so I gave them a try. Glad. I. Did. It was almost 7pm on a Monday when I walked in and it was fairly empty. Some people at a few tables. It's very clean inside. I was greeted and told to sit anywhere. The waitress was very probable and answered all my questions. I even asked her to recommend an appetizer and she did. So with that out the way let's get to the food. Per recommendation I tried the satay chicken appetizer. It was a little different from the menu photo when it come out but the sauce and chicken bites were good. Chicken was very tender. I also ordered the teriyaki chicken and added shrimp with no veggies. It was. DEE. LISH. US. It's the sweeter style teriyaki but not overpowering. Fantastic taste. And a little hint of spice if you get it medium. I burned my tongue I was eating so fast. It came out hot and I devoured it. So good. lol. The sweet tea was awesome too. All around very good. At the end the waitress told me they were fairly new and even asked me for any recommendations on improvement. I said please keep doing what you're doing. Can't wait to try more of the menu.

I was running errands at the nearby Cuban Grocery Co. and decided to finally give BSCH a try based on the 5 star reviews. It was easy to place my order online while still in my car. By the time I finished my shopping and loaded my groceries into the car, my food was almost ready. When I walked in on a late Tuesday morning the restaurant was empty. There's ample seating and the restaurant smelled and looked squeaky clean. An employee welcomed me warmly and asked if I wanted water while I waited for them to finish preparing my meal. She was extremely, and genuinely, kind and showed great hospitality, down to labeling the containers. When I got home all of the food was still hot, which is a big green flag for me. The garlic chicken was slightly dry, but packed with tons of garlicky flavor. The choice of chicken breast, while appealing to most, was disappointing, but I still enjoyed the dish. The rice was fluffy and garnished with peas, which shows intention. My Tom Yum soup was comforting and had just the right amount of shrimp as to not be too skimpy or too gluttonous. I do wish I had more veggies, but that's just a personal preference. I'll definitely return to Bayleaf and bring my family. I recommend it if not because you don't feel that level of hospitality these days.

We sat at the bar this time so we could see the chefs in action. It was cool hearing them coordinate orders and cooking. The music was light but nice. We ordered a tonkotsu ramen with grilled bokchoy add on and a tantanmen ramen with pork belly add on. For drinks, a butterfly bramble and shishito margarita (with accompanying waters, of course). Order number 10 was yonko luffy! The drinks came out first. I love butterfly pea drinks in general and this was no exception. The lime kept it refreshing with a mellow bite of alcohol. The shishito margarita had just enough spice to complement the tequila without being overpowering. Finally, the ramen! My wife enjoyed her tonkotsu ramen, but had a touch too much green onion. For the tantanmen, I had that first sip of broth (segregated from the pork by the toppings) and instantly thought "umami." That's always a bit hard to classify for me, but that broth really did it for me. I was hesitant to get the spicy ground pork because it's harder to scoop up, but that first sip made it worth it. And as the meal progressed, the spiciness of the pork seeped into the broth deliciously. The crunch of the bok choy was one of the reasons I got this dish; so good! The added pork belly was nicely charred and the fat melted in your mouth. I demoooolished that ramen. Perfectly full, not too much. Cheers!

The space is clean, nicely decorated, and has a calm, welcoming atmosphere. We held the door open for a girl right behind us, who came across as a bit rude. I didn't think much of it until she ended up being the one taking our order. Her tone and demeanor felt off-putting, almost as if we were inconveniencing her. While ordering, she also corrected me while I was explaining menu items to my daughter, which felt unnecessary. Food-wise: * I ordered the Katsu Sando. They don't offer regular mayo... only spicy... so keep that in mind. It wasn't overly spicy and was actually really delicious. * My daughter ordered the Shoyu Ramen. It was good, but not something we'd order again. * We also ordered steamed edamame, which I always enjoy. I wouldn't give this place five stars due to the service, but I would come back, because they weren't all rude; likely with my other daughter, to try some of the other dishes that caught our eye. Hopefully next time we're made to feel a bit more welcome... unless kids aren't welcome and I missed that memo
