I hired Express Pools to fill and service my brand-new PebbleTec pool, a project that cost me over $20,000. This was just 1.5 years ago. Since the install, Express Pools has been the only company to touch the pool. Recently, I discovered extensive scaling on not only the PebbleTec finish but also on the pool tiles, indicating this was not a product issue, but likely a maintenance failure. When I contacted the owner, he dismissed it as a PebbleTec problem, despite visible scaling on the tiles. I reviewed surveillance footage and discovered that the pool technician was often on-site for less than two minutes. This raises serious concerns about the quality and consistency of care. I was promised months ago that this would be addressed by the owner. To date, nothing has been done. As a result, I now have costly damage that is not covered under warranty. On top of that, we recently hosted my child's birthday party, and several kids left in tears with burning, bloodshot eyes. I was mortified. This company has been negligent, unresponsive, and dismissive. I hope this review spares another family from the same stress and financial loss.

Then there was plenty of options to choose from in their showroom, and he provided us with excellent advice on the finishes and choices. Once the project got underway, there were no unpleasant surprises, and Robert the project manager became our contact. Robert operates at a next level of excellence that made everything run smoothly and seamlessly. While scheduling every step of the pool construction he kept us in the loop and was very accommodating to our requests to integrate multiple other projects into the timeline (generator and tiki hut) so that other companies had access to the yard at important moments, such as after the pool was "shot" but before the pavers went down etc. All of the contractors involved (electric, plumbing, digging, concrete, paving etc.) were professional, polite and knowledgeable and did excellent work. Jimmy, , the other Jimmy, and Travis wrapped things up with us in the final days, and again they were knowledgeable, professional and polite. This is the second time we have installed a pool from scratch (previously we did one in New Mexico), so we had a previous experience to compare this to. We did not like the plastic, cheap looking solutions they offered and the price was very high. We decided to look around and went to Pinch-A-Penny in Lutz, FL for something else but asked if they could help us find what we were looking for. They the exact model we were looking for and said they had an installer. The price was very reasonable so we bought the hand rail and I called Michael's to schedule the install. They quickly gave me a date a few days out. The tech's sent me a text to let me know they were on there way and I had the part ready for them when they arrived. They took the time to listen to my thoughts on the install and they had some very good recommendations on where to install. I was told they would tell me what type of escutcheons to purchase for the install but they had anticipated what I needed and had it with them. This saved me a trip to pick some up. They had to drill two holes in my pool deck and they did a good job limiting the dust and cleaned up after they cemented the handrail in place. While there, they took a look at a pool light issue and were able to quickly determine the problem and took the time to educate me on how the system works. I would not hesitate to call them for any pool issues in the future.
