I've been here twice and had a tuna sandwich both times so that's all I can speak to. Very good sandwich and very friendly atmosphere. I had really high expectations coming here based on all of the great yelp reviews. Unfortunately for me it was just OK. I love the whole set up of the place, it's literally like your sitting in their kitchen while they prepare the food- it's very small and everyone is very close to one another. The service was great, everyone really nice and VERY busy in the kitchen for the lunch hour rush. On to the food - I ordered a breakfast panini (egg,avocado, & cheese) and also a lemonade on the side. I saw that they were offering cheesy cauliflower soup as the soup of the day and that sounded yummy so I decided to add that on as well since the breakfast panini is only HALF a sandwich. -The panini was ok, the bread itself was DELICIOUS, but the avocado wasn't the freshest. -The Cauliflower soup I wasn't a fan of. It tasted kind of like burnt milk and I didn't even finish it. -The lemonade had pretty much NO flavor, I wanted to throw in like 10 packs of sugar to get it to my liking. Overall, I'm glad I tried this place since it's so close to my work, but it wasn't anything special to me, where as I would want to come running back. The Hubs has sandwiches delivered from here to his office a block and a half away and has long told me how glad he is that his business is within their limited delivery area. So when we had friends drive down from Tracy - this was a logical place to take them for lunch. Neither the Hubs or I had been inside this spot, and to be sure it's "cozy" - bordering on crowded. However, once seated, you don't really notice a sense of being packed in too tightly. Standing in line, I had initial concerns - seated, we were all quite comfortable. The Hubs had gluten-free muffins, which he said are very good. I had the "regular" egg, cheese and avocado panini. The regular size means 1/2 a sandwich, and I found it to be plenty. Our friends had a full panini apiece and were more than full - they needed a nap later. The lemonade is fresh and, we believe from the taste, it's probably homemade. The iced Chai latte was fabulous. The staff are extremely friendly with open, genuine smiles and attentiveness to the details of our individual requests. This is a downtown location, so be prepared to look for parking. It seems to be a very popular eatery, based on the way the street parking was taken and the foot traffic in and out of the place while we were there was steady. In our unanimous opinions, it's worth any amount of effort you have to expend to get inside and place an order, which will be cooked fresh and to your specification while you wait. Ordered on Grub Hub and it took an hour and half to get to my house and by then I had left for a golf game (had a tee time set with friends) and my kids put it in the fridge. I still have yet to try yesterday's panini and salad which is not going to be so impressive at this point, I'm sure. So this rating is for slow delivery resulting in a missed meal. Grub Hub's delivery time estimates changed wildly from 45 minutes to 2:20 before I left at the 1:10 mark. I am unhappy with the slow delivery and that is all in Sunny Side's control, not Grub Hubs. Great food and good prices! Found out about this place from a coworker and its now my new favorite breakfast and lunch spot. Their sandwiches are delicious and you can even get a half order. Coffee is delicious and not over priced. They even deliver which is super convenient and always arrives very quickly.
