Our family loves coming here when we are on a staycation. Service is always friendly. We have tried a variety of food and have enjoyed it. There's free parking in the back and street parking in the front. This place is known for their breakfast but their other items are just as good. We recently found out the Chicken Fettuccine Al Pesto is the owners Italian mother's recipe. My youngest son enjoys getting this dish. My favorite breakfast dishes are the chicken and waffle, country fried steak and french toasts. They perfectly bread the chicken and the homemade country gravy it adds that extra goodness to the meal. I also love their fresh-pressed juices, and I usually request a plantation iced tea -- iced tea mixed with pineapple juice. So refreshing! The decor is adorable too. It has a cozy farmhouse café vibe that makes the whole place feel warm and inviting. And the bread pudding from Sunny Side is definitely worth mentioning. I usually don't like bread pudding, but this is far from ordinary. It's made with croissants and chocolate, drizzled with chocolate sauce, dusted with powdered sugar, served with raspberries, and strawberries. You have to add the ice cream...cause why not? Absolutely indulgent and perfect for sharing. Totally worth those extra calories! Overall, we'll definitely keep dining here. This place goes up and down in my book. First time we came the service and food was great. The last few times tho something was off: - The fresh squeezed orange juice ALWAYS comes 3/4 full (see the pic). - There are flies flying around the entrance door. Beware they landed on our plates, so maybe ask to sit away from the door. - They let big dogs on the front patio next to the entrance door. Of course with my luck, this dog starts shaking its fur and wagging its tail and ya fur flew all over the place and on my plate. My friends went for a group birthday brunch and it was very good. We sat outside and it was comfortable with a heater. There were a variety of meals ordered at our table from pancakes, burrito, scrambles and burger. Everyone was happy with their food. Street parking and a parking lot behind the restaurant. Indoor and outdoor seating. Customer service was good. The banana pineapple French toast was top 3 best French toast I've ever had in my life. Banana and pineapple, never had that combo on French toast before but it was delicious. The bacon was cooked to perfection. The homemade strawberry jam that comes with the toast is DELICIOUS. I wanted to buy some to take home but $8 for the smallest jar was too steep for me. But I look forward to my next visit so I can enjoy all of these things again. I knocked off a star because the fresh squeezed OJ was not filled anywhere close to the top of the glass and was served with ice, so it forced us to drink it fast to prevent it from being watered down. The Arnold Palmer had a great flavor but contained way too much ice. I don't like how they flip their water cups upside down so the rims of the glasses are touching the tables. Yes, they clean/sanitize the tables but I've worked in many restaurants and just don't trust it. But our server was nice and grabbed us new glasses upon our request. After a hike at Annie's Canyon Trail nearby, my friends, and I stopped by to replenish our energy. I ordered the turkey club sandwich that came with extra crispy French fries. We went at 8:30 am, before the crowds, so we could've done a walk in (we had a reservation anyway), and the service was immaculate. They were all over us, refilling our drinks and seeing if we wanted anything, made us feel special. The build your own pancake was lovely. I had peanut butter, candied pecans, and banana, but you can get really creative if you want (they have ice cream, sprinkles, and more). The decorations were tasteful. Highway 101 can get pretty busy, so after parking can be quite the challenge. There address outdoor seating and indoor seating. Today was a bit on the cooler side, so we opted for indoor seating. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Cute decór on the inside and it looked clean. Served cold water in a bottle, cups already on the table. The young woman who greeted us was also our server, and she was super friendly and warm right from the jump. Good start. Now, this might just be a me thing, but I was looking for something light and healthy -- not a gut-buster. I went with the bagel and lox, which came in at $18. Taste-wise? Solid. But it landed with a little side salad of mixed greens and I'll be honest -- for that price, I was hoping for something more substantial. Just give me a pile of greens, something to round it out. My wife had the salmon and eggs, which was a more generous plate for $19, and honestly a better deal. Altogether, our light lunch for two ran close to $50 -- not outrageous these days, I get it -- but it did feel a little steep for what we got. Great outdoor seating. Had the Cheddar Scrambowl. It was so filling and was able to share some with my sister. Would get that again it was delicious. We also had a pancake flight. That was ok. Came around 12pm and it was crowded-- at least out front. A beautiful day out, very much Sunny Side Solana. Waiters and hostess were really kind. They had lovely metal water cups that kept the liquid nice and chill. The menu is so large that I had a difficult time deciding if I wanted to go sweet or savory. I got the Veggies & Cheese omelette and I wish I thought of asking what sort of veggies since my initial thought was much different than what came out. There were spinach, tomato, and mushrooms. The spinach made the omelette on the watery side and the amount of mushrooms were crazy. If you're a mushroom lover you'd enjoy this -- but it was definitely not for me. The side potatoes were a little dark and sad. They didn't have a crispy exterior and fluffy interior like last time. The bell peppers were over cooked too (not that I minded, but others would prob expect differently). It comes with toast although since I had potatoes -- I requested for no toast. My friend ordered a Cold Brew and they were stingy about it. They actually put a lot of ice in the cup which is so not needed for cold brew. Too fancy of a glass for cold brew... My friend said that the cold brew was really watered down. Also ordered The Sailor Man Egg Benedict. It comes with mushrooms, spinach, and tomatoes. Also side of house potatoes. The service started off okay, nothing bad but they never checked in so we only got one little pitcher of water after our first , and we were there for like an hour and a half. I was initially going to opt for the Salmon Benedict until I realized they had a special for Crab Cake Benedict for $25. Was hesitant because of the $6 difference but still picked the crab cake. Whole thing was good but crab could use more flavor. Came with breakfast potatoes. Also enjoyed a Guava margarita which I loved. Really good flavor, had me feeling good. Service was good from our server. There is a gratuity for larger parties plus surcharge for using a card. Employee didn't disclose when paying but there are signs at the restaurant. Street parking.
