We've visited this restaurant multiple times with our five-year-old daughter, as well as on a few date (days) as a married couple. While many reviews focus on wait times, ambiance, or the outdoor environment--which does an excellent job accommodating families with young children like ours--the reason we keep coming back is the food and service. Both have been consistently outstanding on every visit. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the food has never disappointed. I highly recommend this restaurant whether you're looking for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or a little bit of all three. Super disappointed in the Willow Park TX Sunny Street Cafe Manager and his behavior during a recent visit. My husband and I have been regular customers since they opened. While, we've had some issues with poor service I've never written a negative review because we like their food and it's 4 minutes from home. This review goes directly to the manager/owner, who asked me to leave when I told him I didn't agree with the stores policy regarding seating. When I arrived at Sunny Street the restaurant was about half full and no one was waiting. My husband was in the car finishing a phone call. I was asked to have a seat while we waited for him. I did. During the 5-7 minutes I was waiting 2 groups came in and were seated. The manager/owner walked up to the hostess stand and asked why I was waiting. He was told by the waitress that I was waiting for my husband who was in the car on the phone. Since there wasn't anyone else waiting I asked if I could be seated. He told me that it was against policy because my husband had not come inside yet. I told him that while I understood the policy I was hoping he would let me go ahead and be seated since no one was waiting. He became agitated and gruffly told me that he could not make exceptions. I told him again that while I understood the policy I was hoping he would be kind enough to let me be seated since no one was waiting and that my husband would be off his phone call any minute. He then became aggressive and told me to leave. I told him I was hungry and didn't want to leave. He repeated himself again in an even more aggressive voice and said, "I want you to leave now!" As I turned to leave, I thought twice about the way I was being treated. The following week, my husband and I were eating at another nearby restaurant and the waitress recognized us. We also recognized her as a Sunny Street employee. Because she is such a kind and cheerful individual we shared our story with her about the manager. She apologized on his behalf. She then went onto share that he was known by the employees as a grumpy old man. She then went on to say that "grumpy old man" was the nicest thing any of the employees had to say about him. Met a girlfriend for a late breakfast this morning. I'd been wanting to try this Cafe so decided today was perfect. Our waitress was busy with a 12 top so the manager was kind enough to take our drink order. I had to try the fresh squeezed orange juice and a caramel latte. Note that the lattes aren't on the menu because all locations don't have a latte machine. I had the cinnamon roll pancakes with a side of hashbrowns. My gfriend had a chicken salad sandwich with fries. The pancakes came 2 to an order and were the size of the plate. Absolutely delicious. The hashbrowns were good but I will request extra crispy next time. I try not to make any special requests on my first visit somewhere. My girlfriend liked the chicken salad. I attempted to go to the Sunny Street Cafe In Weatherford first, but there was an hour wait there for a party of two. We decided to try this Sunny Street Cafe in Willow Park and I'm glad that we did. It was only a fifteen minute wait before we were sat. Our waitress was very kind and very fast to get our drinks and food out to us. The food looked beautiful and it tasted great. When you give them a 2nd chance after a waitress belittled you to employees and customers over sending eggs back that are over cooked, to come to a different location and get over cooked over easy eggs, and now they charge their customer for their cost to do business. Yep, charging 3.5%processing fee for the convenience of using a card. Wow! When you open a business this is the cost you pay to do business. You already have high enough breakfast plates, now you charge your customers more. You don't know it until you get the bill. I didn't eat my extremely crisp over medium eggs. My dmDaughters are pictured. They are suppose to be over easy. Don't eat here. You get more for your money at Waffle House or IHOP. I use to be a regular until they stop caring about their customers. Gave them another shot and boy they blew it. You offered to remake my eggs, yes. My eggs were over medium and all the whites were scorched on both sides. The eggs in the picture above are my Daughters and she had over easy eggs. I chose to have no eggs rather than to have you take them back and teach your staff to cook eggs in the few minutes we had left to eat our meal. Processing fees are a part of the cost of doing business. I owned 2 very successful businesses in Weatherford and 1 in Colleyville that was a National Franchise. Horrible experience. December 22,2024 at 11:55 am the manager at that time came over for an uncalled for scolding to us and my son. My son is 3 years old who accidentally broke one of the plastic table sitting kids menu. We apologize when we turned it in to the hostess. We obviously got to our kid after the incident but the fact here is the manager was unprofessional by coming over and scolding us the parents and my child who was scared by the big man, like what did he get by saying these are expensive blah blah in a stern voice?? Okay wanted to us to pay for something that was old that the restaurant gets in bulk? You can find these as cheap at $6.25 like Really! Well we canceled our order and asked for the bill for our drinks and they lost a frequent customer and at least minimum of $50 today. It was a Saturday morning and they were already pretty packed so we had to wait about 15 or 20 minutes, no biggie. This place seems to be a favorite among the locals, which is a good sign. Service was pretty quick, but our waitress wasn't very friendly, even after telling her it was our first time here. But she could have been having an off day. I ordered the loaded hash browns which is a mix of hash browns, eggs, gravy, cheese, and sauteed onions and a side of grits. Yes! It was SO yum! When I have breakfast, I want a little bit of everything so this was perfect. Everything I had was amazing! Hubs ordered the sunny's skillet which he wasn't impressed with. The carnitas were pretty good, but just different than what we are use to. He ate most of it, and then half of mine! Kiddo ordered the chicken nuggets and fries. The coffee was very weak, the service was cold, and when the food came out the pancakes were almost burned on the bottom. So much I couldn't cut them with a fork.
