I came to Paco's expecting just a solid meal and ended up discovering a whole hidden experience I…read moredidn't even know existed. Yes, it's inside Paco's Restaurant -- but Secreto is its own thing. Once you step inside, the vibe completely shifts. It's quiet, intimate, and feels like a true speakeasy tucked away from the noise. You honestly wouldn't know it was there from the outside, which makes it even better. The drinks were excellent. I tried the New Orleans-style daiquiri and it was smooth, balanced, and clearly made with intention -- not overly sweet, not watered down. You can tell whoever is behind the bar knows exactly what they're doing. The service was warm and welcoming without being overbearing, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and elevated at the same time. If you're looking for a low-key spot to actually sit, talk, and enjoy a well-crafted cocktail, this is it. Paco's is great, but Secreto is a hidden gem inside it -- and definitely worth checking out if you want something a little different. I'll absolutely be back.

It looks exactly the same as it did as Taco Diner and I can't remember the menu exactly but looks pretty similar also, we ordered a house margarita and a mangonada margarita $10 and $12 both were pretty small glasses actually, I ordered the quesa birria tacos and they were actually really good and my girlfriend had the steak fajitas which she said were really good also except for the portion size was small. The service was slow even though they weren't very busy which is never a good thing when you have somewhere to be soon, overall pretty good place but I'm not gonna go out of my way for it

Nevertheless, I believe that the service fell short of our expectations. Despite the restaurant's emptiness, our server did not check on us frequently. We decided to stop in for a late dinner after our Bass Hall performance since the restaurant is open until 11pm on Fridays. It was pretty empty when we first walked in around 9pm so we had plenty of seating to choose from. As we sat and ate our dinner, more and more people started trickling in. We enjoy sitting by the window facing the Sundance Square plaza to enjoy the people watching / scenery. The menu is very reasonably priced, especially for a restaurant in Sundance Square. They bring out chips & salsa when you first sit down. The salsa was on the spicier side, which I prefer! My husband and I both ordered the 2 taco plate - I had brisket and carnitas, he had the fajita chicken and carnitas tacos. The tacos were filled very generously. The plates come with rice and beans, which comes out to just the perfect amount of food for dinner. My favorite of the two tacos I had was the brisket. The rice and beans are just OK. Not my favorite restaurant in downtown, but they are a reasonably priced option and the service has been great every time we've come in. We'll be back.

When she came back she said, there was nothing she could do about if we didn't want another order. She took our name and number and said the owner would call when he got in tonight. No one ever called. The waitress was awesome. They have great margaritas and great salsa. So, if you want to just go and drink and have chips and salsa, you'll love it.

Then a man approached me and asked how many of us there were and when I answered I asked him if I could sit outside and he said yes. Boy, did I go and they didn't even bring me the menus or anything; I saw people arriving and they didn't serve them, nothing even happened to me, even the waiters passed by, they just ignored me. My daughter said I'm hungry mommy. So after waiting 15 minutes I went to ask if they could serve me. Later, the lady who cleaned the table brought the menus, water, and chips but no one came to take my order. I waited longer and my daughter had to go to the bathroom, there are two, one is broken. When I returned to the table, they had already cleaned it and put everything away. I went inside to speak to the person in charge. And the owner and manager answered me, he was Paco. He told me that if I wanted to leave it was my decision when I explained to him what happened from the beginning. It is unfortunate that a person who in 2020 received recognition for his restaurant. Now he does not care at all about the service he provides. Because he thinks you are just a worthless person; and without respect. And if God gives you such a great opportunity and responsibility to have a restaurant. It should be more of an example of leadership and not of rejection discrimination towards other people. The best customer service is that the customer does not need to call you, does not need to talk to you, because everything works "(Jeff Bezos).

Was really good, but lukewarm. I got the beef fajita quesadillas and husband got beef nachos. Both were $15.50. He liked his nachos, but nothing special. My quesadillas were good, but kinda small for the price. They weren't greasy and the beef was tender. Had a frozen margarita, and it was good, I drank two. Not the best, but definitely not the worse. Atmosphere was nice, located in a great area. Also, we walked, so I can't comment on the parking, but did notice a sign that they validate tickets. I'd go again if I was close by. 4/5.

Honestly, after our visit, I can't imagine how they've lasted this long. Ambiance is fine, parking is tough (and not cheap). I ordered the Smokey Chipotle Margarita to start and it was a disappointment. Not Smokey. Not spicy. Not strong. Pretty disappointing. My nephew started with the Mango Margarita (after being told they couldn't do a swirl even though it was on the menu) and he was not thrilled either. We all ordered different entrees and the portions were overall smaller than our usual go-to Mexican restaurant, but still enough to fill you up on top of the chips & salsa (which were the best things we got). I ordered chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce - right sauce, but beef inside. Not a great combination. Hubby said his food was 'meh' when asked for his opinion, so I think we all agreed that this will be our only trip to La Familia.
