I used to come here for years. The massages were awesome and it just a hospitable place overall. The owner was friendly and accommodating. However, it's under new management, so the prices are higher and they push too much for longer massages. The lady who massaged me was nice, but spent too much time on my back. Her English was not good, so it was frustrating to communicate with her. I asked for 30 minutes and before my massage was over, the owner opens the curtain. Mind you, I am face down and still nude under the sheets. My female masseuse walked away while the male owner was persistent in pushing for an hour. He told me $60 for an hour or to end my session now. I said, "You need to have your prices upfront because that's not what your masseuse told me. Also, you're pressuring me to make a choice now while I'm naked. This is very uncomfortable for me and super inappropriate." He semi laughed and started to come over to finish the massage and I said, "No, don't touch me." Then when I went to pay, I gave her $50 (I did 30 mins for $40. When I told her to give me change, she bluntly asked, "how much do you want to tip me?" That's unprofessional. You're supposed to give me my change and then wait for your tip. It's like she got upset I didn't give her the whole $50 after that rude interaction with her manager. I left very unhappy and will never go back. read more

A friend of mine came in Sunny Sunflower Spa (on 2/15/24) for what she thought was going to be a professional massage. She had a male worker who was VERY inappropriate with her. He got aroused during her massage and made it known by putting his private part in her hand. He also put his face next to hers, & wanted to continue the massage even after the timer went off to stop. After the massage was over he complimented her body. After her visit, I checked the reviews to see if anyone else had a similar experience. I did read about a similar experience with a male worker name George... This is highly unprofessional and disgusting. She did not ask for that kind of treatment. AVOID AT ALL COST. George is a predator that took advantage of me during my massage when most vulnerable. He stands in a way that his ''member" is in your hand during the service. Even when moving away to avoid what was happening, he held down my wrist in place. He is in leadership at this business and that this is happening, I'm concerned what else may be. I've confirmed with the city that they do not have a licensed to practice. read more

Longtime customer, recently visited and there is new management. No posted prices, forcing me to pay in cash upfront without quoting me (I gave masseuse much higher amount than previous rate). When it was over, masseuse demanded tip, I asked what the rate was and she would not tell me. I gave her the additional bills I had in my wallet and she reacted with anger and disgust. Went for a 30 min massage on Mon night and two days later, I still can't turn my head to the left. My neck and shoulder is in so much pain it feels like pins and needles! I've tried Aleeve, heating pads, bengay and hot showers but nothing will work. I guess this is what you get for going to an unofficial "masseuse." It doesn't look like much from outside--or in. And you think you may just get a standard, sort of mechanical massage then be on your way. But this place is amazing. I have now been twice, first time with Amy and now with Tina and both massages rank up there with among the best I have ever received. I need to find a way to get here every month because I feel a tremendous difference. So great that it is close by where I live and just a quick walk over. Nice thing is that I can just walk in and there is someone there to treat me. So recommend people take the time and give this place a shot...very good. read more

I hesitate writing about this place because I don't want it to be known to the entire UWS, but then again, I just got the best massage ever here and I want them to grow as a business, so... I came here at 10:30 on a Saturday, 30 minutes after opening. It's tucked away in the basement of a building but really clean and modern looking. The masseuse was SO ATTENTIVE to all my knots; she exposed me to knots in places I didn't even know about. The entire staff is really nice and I hope to be back soon! read more

There are many good things here, and I would give 5 stars, but something very bothersome is that the masseuse "S" keeps asking for more tips, when I am giving her twice as much tip as I give at other places, where they accept my tips without any complaints. I was considering becoming a regular, but am upset because of this "more tip" requests and also, she asks strange inappropriate personal questions, so I am not so sure about becoming a regular customer any more. If she learns that the quickest way to lose a customer, and to prevent them from returning is to ask for more tips, and that she must stop the "tip" talk if she wants to retain her customers, then I would consider going there more. I will see. Update. she "S" never learned her lesson. Last time, again, after I paid her twice the tip I pay other places, she said she is hungry. Awesome massage for a low price! I walked in without an appointment for a massage and foot reflexology with no problem. Yes, it's a basic setup and you can hear other customers since there aren't walks between but the massage was so good it made up for it. I would definitely go back, the masseuse was super friendly and welcoming. read more

I had booked an hour massage last minute but since no one was after me i extended to two hours. Glad i did. Their great masseuse (Vicki?) really healed my shoulder & neck which were in great pain due to a work injury. She also broke us many knots and was really intuitive. No frills room, but i'll take the savings with an expert therapist any day. I tipped 30%, but actually felt like i was shorting them. Will def be back. I highly recommend deep tissue. I've never felt better. I went in as a new by because it was my first time there. The ladies were very welcoming. I was directed into the room and was given the most amazing massage ever. I had a lot of lower back and neck pains. I walked out with no pain at all, my back straight and I feel light as a feather. I definitely will be going back. On top of that prices are amazing. Great massage! Clean space, nice pressure, good prices. The company accepts walk ins and appointments. The only critique is that the walls are made of cloth so you can hear other clients in the other "rooms" talking and can hear when people enter and exit the building. However, they play relaxing music throughout, which helps to minimize the distraction. Would recommend! read more

My boyfriend and I recently moved in around the corner from this place and we walk past it all the time so we decided to give it a shot. I'm so glad we did!!! I was able to make a same day appointment for a couple's massage. The prices here are pretty cheap too which is great!! It was $48 per person for a 60 minute couples massage. The staff were great and treated us like family on our first visit. Both of our massages were amazing!! It was my boyfriends first massage and he loved it and it was actually the best massage I've ever had. Definitely recommend giving this place a visit if you want a quality relaxing massage for a great price! read more

Really really enjoyed it here. It is clean, quiet, affordable, has tasteful music, etc. I was a little nervous to ask for more pressure, but when I did they did it quite well and I appreciated the improvement! The only thing I didn't love was that right at the end of my treatment time, the manager, [not the masseuse] showed up and asked quite loudly if I'd now like a 30minute shoulder massage (I'd had reflexology). It was a little awkward as the whole environment was peaceful and quiet and zen, and then this loud question, as I was already getting ready to leave... I received a 90 minute massage, the masseuse was disinterested/distracted walking out of the room frequently and talking to someone in the other room or who walked in. (I couldn't tell with my face buried.) It seemed like the latter, which was unsettling given my state of dress. She didn't pay attention to my request to focus on my hamstring, didn't ask about trouble areas, nor did she ask about pressure or style of massage. She spent 20 minutes not massaging but rubbing lotion into my chest/face. I walked out feeling no better and disappointed. Despite this I gave her a $10 tip that seemed to disappoint and didn't warrant a thank you. I likely won't return. read more
