Lots of beers on tap!
Taj M.

Here's a high-level view. The food is phenomenal. The drink selection is extensive has a really good bar feel. When people talk about bar food, it's usually a mediocre and unhealthy type of food. However, the food I tried was exquisite! I tried the dry rub wings, and probably some of the best wings I ever had! My wife got a pizza. This pizza was so good. It felt like it was made by an artisan in a brick oven. The food is so good that I would just go there order food for Takeaway. Whatever you do, try the food you won't be disappointed. The beer selection is very extensive. They have beers on tap which you don't normally see on the East Coast. They have sweet baby Jesus on tap. Which is hard to find anywhere. The owner is very down to earth and came over and said hello to the private party. I don't usually go to the national Harbor, but if I go back, the brass tap will definitely be where I go!

Happy Hour beer selections
Neha K.

This place has a nice pub-style vibe and offer discounts to patrons staying at certain hotels out there. The star was the service today with Reye. Beers on happy hour menu are limited but not a deal breaker. They do have some nice local crafts (not on HH). They don't bill you for HH prices and I neglected to check the bill until later so exercise some caution there. Pizza is unique in the crust- just as they mention it on the menu. All in all, pretty nice find on the harbor!

Happy Hour

Happy Hour Win at The Brass Tap - National Harbor If you're looking for a chill spot to celebrate a win (like graduating from a six-week training class ), The Brass Tap is a solid choice. We rolled in on a Wednesday for happy hour and had a blast. First off, shoutout to our server. I don't remember her name, but she was warm and friendly and kept the drinks flowing. And speaking of drinks, the draft beer selection is . I had three 16-ounce pours and a chicken quesadilla for about $31 -- not bad for National Harbor. We sampled a good bit of the happy hour menu. My personal MVPs? The mac & cheese balls (better without the sauce) and the pizza . The pizza came out piping hot (but not "burn-your-mouth" hot), had great flavor, and held up perfectly in hand -- no sad, floppy slices here. Definitely ordering that for myself next time. The chicken quesadilla I ordered was fine, but nothing to write home about . Someone also ordered the "spicy" wings -- more "red pepper flakes everywhere" than authentic spicy -- so I'd pick a different flavor next round. But the vibe? That's where this place delivers--outdoor seating right on the main drag, perfect for people-watching, and a lively, social atmosphere. Would I go back? Absolutely -- especially for the beer selection, mac & cheese balls, and pizza. And yes, next time I'm upgrading my wing order.

Blue cheese for my 10 Chicken Wings
Mo M.

Miya and Briona at The Brass Tap in National Harbor were fantastic! Not only were they super welcoming and full of positive energy, but they also nailed the recommendations--especially the dry rub BBQ. They made sure we had the perfect pairing for an unforgettable meal. If you go, trust their suggestions--they know what they're talking about! Just a side note to the owners charging .50 for another blue cheese for 2 people sharing 10 wings makes zero sense as 1 sauce is not enough for 10. Especially when there is 2 people!!! Irritating and annoying but the wonderful energy of Miya and Briona turned it around for us and we ended the evening with good vibes.

The food that I completely devoured, it's the chicken sandwich. I just took off the lettuce.

5-Star Review Tanisha The Brass Tap was an amazing experience! The customer service was absolutely phenomenal from the moment we walked in. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect during our visit. The food was incredible -- everything we ordered tasted great. The French fries were especially delicious and cooked perfectly. You can really tell they care about the quality of their food and the overall experience for their customers. If I lived in Washington, I would definitely come back all the time. This is honestly one of the best places I've ever been to. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area! I'm and I just love the vibe the lights are nice. They're playing nice music there's TVs it's generally awesome. The servers name is Tanisha and she did a great job

I decided to try out this craft beer spot in attempts to catch a sporting event as some of the other local locations were pretty packed. It's your typical bar spot wooden decor, large bar with plenty of tv's behind within the space as well as ample patio seating. Service was decent given the fact that they seemed limited on staff that day and trying to manage both inside and outside orders. The food menu features wings with a variety of dry rub and sauce options, shareable items like potstickers and Mac and cheese bites, tacos that come in flavors like smoked brisket and blackened cod as well as burgers, pizza, and other sandwich options (prices range from $10-$20). Their drink menu has a variety of bourbons and whiskeys in addition to the expansive craft beer options. I decided on the brown sugar bourbon wing basket that came with fries and the steak tacos. The food took awhile to come out and unfortunately it wasn't really worth the wait. As for the brown sugar wings they were decent, could have been warmer but not a bad dry rub flavor just would have benefited from use of more of the rub. The tacos were interesting I ordered them without peppers but on the menu they also are supposed to come with onion, cilantro, and white queso but they only came with queso so it basically ended up being a plain taco, in addition to the steak not being seasoned either. Overall not my best food experience even for bar food but on a positive decent pricing and I did have a pretty good beer there.

Surprised I haven't reviewed Brass Tap. It's been one of my fav local spots to hang with friends & watch games for 10+ years. Plenty of TVs & craft beer. We popped in last night around 7:30 to check out March Madness (Final 4) games. Was a bit shocked we were the only persons of color (aside from staff) but felt welcomed just the same. Sign advised to seat ourselves. We obliged & a staff member quickly arrived to take our orders. We ordered Brussels to start along with my sangria and his chocolate stout. When our server returned- we ordered Ceasar salads w/ shrimp & a veggie pizza. Everything was hot and fragrant except the Brussels. They arrived cold after the salads in a styrofoam container. The red peppers were even cold on top. Otherwise good visit per usual.

Nothing like the neighborhood restaurant, black owned I hear! Great customer service and will return! Drinks were awesome! A quick visit back! Pizza and Cesar Salad for dinner! Baes favorite place.

Brown Sugar Bourbon Wings

I genuinely enjoy brass tap but the service is hit or miss. Once I ordered a to go order and had to stand around looking lost before I figured out who was staff and was able to ask for my food. Since then I've been back and had a great time. On a random Wednesday night that happened to also be trivia night the vibe was really chill and we won a $10 gift card. The brown sugar wings are amazing so I decided to try it on the chicken sandwich. Does not translate at all but the tots as always are amazing and my spicy Margarita.

Chicken Club Wrap

In town for a convention, looked like a nice spot. Close to the convention center. Met up with a prospective contact and sat down. It was karaoke night. Sat for a good spell with food and drinks accompanied by live performances. Some better than the others but all in all enjoyable. Pulled pork nachos were ordered and the were good. Meat was tasty, but needed a bit more heat to melt the cheese inside. Has a chicken club wrap for entree and it was good. Ordered drinks. I would only ask they be a bit more consistent. Second drink was better that the first after an order for a second coconut rum shot as an add on. I would patron again. Would only emphasize on consistency with mixed drinks. Please don't get me wrong, the first drink was good, but second was great as it came the way one would imagine ( after a shot of coconut rum asked with the first drink) sorry it was a margarita don't remember the name.

How did I not know TAP Sports Bar existed?…read more TAP is basically what happens when a stadium, a fryer, and a casino have a baby; loud, chaotic, and somehow exactly what you needed. I was fully invested in the Duke game because if they won, my bestie would be back in DC. So yes, I was out here cheering for the Boozer brothers like I was trying to get their mama a plane ticket. Not wanting to deal with the National Harbor side, my friend suggested TAP and honestly, clutch move. The struggle: a 30-45 minute wait for a table. The plot twist: the to‑go line was just as long, and they'll shut it down if the kitchen gets overwhelmed. But it was available. The pivot: the outdoor area was wide open. No bar, no servers, no crowd, just sunshine and empty plush seating and tables. So outside it is. This worked perfectly because we both weren't drinking! We ordered at the bar, grabbed our food, and watched the game outside like VIPs who chose peace over chaos. Inside: TVs everywhere, sports blasting, people yelling at screens like the players owed them money. It's chaotic in the best possible way. Service was friendly but slow but still, the staff somehow kept the whole place running like a well‑oiled machine in the middle of a sports‑fueled tornado. Final verdict: Come hungry, come casual, and come patient. TAP is fun, filling, and exactly the kind of place you go when you want comfort food with zero pretension. Now... let's get into it! I went straight for the TAP Burger, as any self‑respecting burger monster would. And honestly? It understood the assignment. Juicy, messy (in a sexy way), and stacked like it's trying to win a televised food competition. The fries were crispy little overachievers, especially impressive considering they were trapped in a plastic container. No pics because to go food isn't picture worthy out of the containers. Highly recommend. This is officially my new spot for all things sports. Plus, free parking. A no‑brainer. Find me here on game days! Perfect outdoor place to be!

We ordered quickly and got an order of skillet cornbread, a crabcake, and shrimp and grits. Omg- so good. The cornbread was served with honey butter that made it almost desesert like. But the cornbread itself was savory, so there was a perfect balance. So good! The crab cake was unbelievable. So good. (Similar to what you would get at a pappadeaux for context.) Literally a showstopper. The shrimp and grits were really good too. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and were sweet and juicy. The grits were good, but personally I like more cheese in them. But adding the crystal hot sauce made up for it. Just an amazing meal! Our server Luna was super friendly, hard working and we so enjoyed her! She is a real asset to this place! Great job and great food!

I'm disappointed to be writing this review about Succotash National Harbor because it has been a…read morerestaurant I've enjoyed and recommended in the past. My cousin and I stopped by on Friday, June 12, 2026, craving one of our favorites--the pimento burger. As usual, we grabbed two open seats at the bar that had just been vacated. A waiter greeted us and said he would return after cleaning the area. Another staff member brought us water, and we waited to place our order. While waiting, I noticed a couple sit down at the bar near us. To my surprise, the first waiter immediately went over to them, took their order, and prepared their drinks while my cousin and I continued to sit there without any acknowledgment. I eventually asked the waiter if he was assigned to our section, and he confirmed that he was. I then asked why the couple had been served before us when we had arrived first. His flippant response was, "Because they're regulars." I replied that, with good customer service, I could become a regular too. He then shrugged and said, "They know management." Thinking I must have misunderstood, I asked him to repeat himself. He again said, "They know management." What bothered me most was not that regular customers were recognized. Great hospitality includes making loyal guests feel appreciated. The problem was the message that seemed to be conveyed--that some customers are more deserving of attention than others because of who they know. When I expressed concern, the waiter appeared dismissive and uninterested in addressing it. Instead of clarifying or apologizing, he repeated the same explanation and shrugged off our concerns. At that point, my cousin looked at me and asked, "Are you ready?" We got up and left without ordering anything. This experience was especially disappointing because it was so different from the positive visits I've had here before. We came expecting good food and a welcoming atmosphere, but instead left feeling ignored and undervalued. I hope management takes customer service seriously and addresses situations like this. Every guest should feel welcomed and respected, whether they are a first-time visitor, a regular, or someone who knows management. Unfortunately, this experience makes me reluctant to return anytime soon. I can't say that I wouldn't recommend Succotash National Harbor, as I've enjoyed many good meals there in the past, but this visit left a lasting negative impression. To make matters worse, my cousin and I never even got the chance to order the pimento burger we came for .
