I dropped a white dress with some embellishments and layers for them. I asked the front desk lady how much they charge for dress and she told me $30, but because mine had more layers it might be a little more than $30. She left a note for the owner to call me so we can discuss the price. This man did not call me and charged me $250 + tax. I told them I wasn't paying that much for dry cleaning a dress and because he didn't call me to discuss the price before assuming I was going to pay that much for it. He offered 10% off but I refused, and he said I should give him 30 minutes to come by the store. I came back after one hour and he still didn't show up. Anyway, I had to pay $137 at the end of the day so I could pick up my dress for my photo shoot. I will never go back there as their service is terrible. read more

Took a dress I purchased off line to have a zipper replaced. I was quoted $35 dollars. I should've them write out a pick up ticket because at pick up I was told $45. Plus tax. My advise is have them write the amount on the pick up Ticket. Other than that the zipper was great. read more

Idk what a good frame of reference for pricing is in Charlotte. I know what I've spent in North Jersey and in Denver, so with that info I can say that Sunny's is middle of the road. $3 for starched dress shirts seems fair. Cleaning is done offsite so emergencies will be expensive if at all possible. But where it gets really expensive is bigger items and specialty items. Sweaters are $7.50. Comforters are around $50. Woke up early enough before work to pick up a few items. There was a sign on the door that said "back in 30-mgmt"...another customer and I waited for over 45 minutes and still no sign of anyone. Not only was I late for work but I also missed my flight out of charlotte. My grievance is simply, people plan their day and pick ups based off scheduled business hours. Understandable that things happen, but at least have additional employees that can cover or just close up shop if you know you will be longer than 30 minutes. This is the second issue I've had with this establishment as far as pickup times and being able to get my garments on schedule with both business hours and personal schedule. Unacceptable. read more

I picked up my new suit after getting alterations done nearby. I decide to drop the suit of at Sunny's Cleaners to have it pressed. I picked the suit up a few days later and found discoloration on the pants. It appears the pants were scorched. The associate said she would send the suit back to have the issue resolved. I picked the suit up for the 2nd time on 11/212022 and found lines all over the pant legs. I informed the associate I was not happy with the outcome. She called the owner Charlie at the cleaning plant. I spoke with Charlie on the phone and informed him about the issue. He got irate and stated the problem is not with his cleaning practices because he's been in business for 28 years. I informed him that the suit is brand new and has not yet been worn. He stated that I should take him to court if I'm not happy with his response. This owner does not have any customers service skills or respect for his customers. He has lost a loyal customer and all future referrals. I will be sure to share my experience with all of my associates as well. read more

I had a bad experience with this business. I wouldn't return again after the service I received. I brought in my comforter to be dry cleaned and got it back with a large portion sewn together like it had ripped open and they sewed it back together without my permission. I went back just hoping to get a return on my $30 cleaning because of the damage. I explained what happened and when they pulled out the ticket they had written "damaged" on the ticket without my knowing. They then used that as a way of saying it was already damaged and they wouldn't give me my money back. No one there would make decisions they always had to call the manager who I for some reason could never speak with and even when they left a message with the manager they never called me back to fix the problem. I started using this place because it's near my work and easy to get on/off of 85. The man who owns the store is always very nice. They have a deal if you bring in 7 items it's only $28 (dresses count as 2 though). I've never had any issues, always received the correct clothing back and it all looks clean & pressed. I did have a stain they couldn't get out but I wasn't very hopeful since it was an old stain. I'm not super rushed to get my clothing back but the turn around is usually about 3 days. Had my coats cleaned and later realized there was a lot of damage done by the cleaning process. The coat was a month old, and of 250 dollars of value. I paid 8 dollars to have it destroyed. Upon pickup no notice was given to me of the damages I had to find out on my own. Once confronted they refused to do anything about it and denied even knowing that it had been cleaned by them.
