Authorization: I have never received written quote or list of repair to do for authorization (just a call). During our call, Catalytic converter was never mentioned once but I cannot prove it until I can get the call record from the mobile service. Parts: Yes, you gave me the choice to replace the first installed aftermarket part with original part after our first confrontation. However, I repeatedly asked you if the check engine light is due to aftermarket parts and you replied "No". That's the reason I brought my friend for witness. Please go ahead and take necessary actions. I was okay with paying $1000 for the work if the problem was solved but it is persistent. As a veteran business owner and mechanic, you should have asked if I wanted to use aftermarket parts or original in the first place. Also, you should know that the newer car can give CEL with aftermarket part and suggest accordingly.

My experience over the past year and several visits for my 99' Subaru Outback has been 5 star. Mike and Eric know what their doing, they are honest, and they charge a fair price. My last visit, and the reason I'm writing this review, was a bear! The car would stall and lose power but only after driving it 30 miles. Go figure. Oh, and it had to be over 60 mph. It was one of those puzzlers you hear on car talk -- very hard to nail down. Eric started by reading the engine codes and doing all the stuff he should have done (replaced idle control valve, vacuum hoses -- I checked with the Subaru dealer in Wakefield). When those didn't solve it, he went over everything again, then replaced the engine control unit (the computer) and a few other things. It took several visits and many long test drives but they figured it out -- yea! Eric and Mike had ample opportunity to walk away from this job. Or they could have charged me more -- for the computer for example. It never came up. I will definitely go back, these guys are solid. Give them another try Katie.

My wife was going to take the car to the typical tire shop we use to replace them (which is 5min away on low speed suburban roads) but the attendant guilts her about being a bad mom for being willing to drive her children even a mile with tires like that and that she should definitely get fancy run flat tires - for a toyota sienna minivan! Long story short, I get back from my business trip to find that our minivan now has nicer - more expensive tires than our sporty BMW sedan...
