He insist that the aftermarket part should not throw check engine light code, but the Subaru dealer and one more garage confirmed its the aftermarket part as I have also change the O2 sensor. I am not sure on what to do as this guy charge me $1000 and the original part will cost around $3K. This place is a scam and I will ask everyone to look at other places. Authorization: I have never received written quote or list of repair to do for authorization (just a call). During our call, Catalytic converter was never mentioned once but I cannot prove it until I can get the call record from the mobile service. Parts: Yes, you gave me the choice to replace the first installed aftermarket part with original part after our first confrontation. However, I repeatedly asked you if the check engine light is due to aftermarket parts and you replied "No". That's the reason I brought my friend for witness. Please go ahead and take necessary actions. I was okay with paying $1000 for the work if the problem was solved but it is persistent. As a veteran business owner and mechanic, you should have asked if I wanted to use aftermarket parts or original in the first place. Also, you should know that the newer car can give CEL with aftermarket part and suggest accordingly.

I am a newer car owner, and I'm so glad to have found a place that I feel comfortable. Both times I've gone, they've been up front about the cost and time it will take. They've also been patient with my questions, so I haven't felt self conscious about my beginner knowledge on cars. There's something else wrong that I need to go back to another place to get fixed under warranty, but I knew I'd have a hard time explaining it myself. They assured me that they already planned to write a detailed description that I could bring with me. As someone who works M-F 8-5, I also appreciate that they're open on Saturday. Thank you to the team at Eli's!

After checking under the hood of my car myself, I noticed that the covers to the fuse box, front harness connector, and opposite headlight (not the one with an issue) were missing. I went back to the shop and they said they did not have anything there anymore even though they were with the car when I had dropped it off. I will be reporting this negligent behavior to the MA Office of Consumer Affairs and Attorney General. Stay away if you would like to have professionals work on your car.

I got a jump from AAA in single-digit temps, and was worried a fuse/wire was draining. He gave me good advice to go get the battery checked at AutoZone where I'd bought, since it was still under warranty and they can check the Cold-firing-Charge and replace it. He literally stopped what he was doing to give me this help, free of charge, and talk through all options. I appreciate that he's honest, explanative and never up-sells. He is also fantastic to the community, he has hosted his corner lot for town events, including bands playing outside for porch fest. Also, they service many big businesses in town (McDonald Contracting and other fleets), which speaks *volumes* on his ethics and good word around town. You will not be disappointed, definitely stop by and say hi. Signed, - A momma who really vets who I use for my cars,

I agreed to the price and waited 4 weeks for the part to come in and the repair to be completed. They then charged me $1500. for that repair, handed me the paperwork after they had swiped my cc through the machine. I immediately told them I was over charged, I had been quoted $1000. for the intake manifold repair. The tech Brian told me I would have to discuss with Mark, who wasn't there. I've left letters in the drop box and left vm messages, no one returns my calls. (They did work on another vehicle of mine 2 years ago, almost $4K worth of work on Chevy Colorado.) No longer giving them any more business. Update after speaking with Mark the owner, 5/8/2024. Mark called a few days after I picked up the vehicle. Claims the "repair was a nightmare". All kinds of rust on the intake manifold bolts, 6 of the 8 bolts were rusted out and broke when he tried to remove them. He said the job should have taken him 3 hours but instead it took him 9 hours.(Really???) I told him as a customer who was given an estimate of $1000. for a repair only to be charged 50% more, I was not happy, he should have had a better idea of the condition of the vehicle and the cost to repair (Initially, I had left the vehicle at the shop, he looked the vehicle over and also diagnosed the check engine code issue and that it needed an intake manifold.) I told him given the estimate of $1000., then overcharge of $500., he had lost a customer.
