Needed a quick refresher so we stopped in to pick up a Jasmine team no ice no sweetener and a matcha. Ordered through thy kiosk so very lil interaction and service was just okay. Drinks were not worth the $12+. We parked behind the store in their parking structure.

Parking is in the back and we didn't have any trouble finding a spot on a Sunday afternoon. There is no seating inside and two kiosks to order from. They had free samples of their peach oolong milk tea which was good but sweet even with 75% sugar. We ordered 3 drinks and only had to wait like 10 min. Comes in a plastic bag. Drinks were decent but nothing to scream about.

My go to spot for a special drink treat! This locations is fairly small and doesn't have any seating besides a small bar by the front entrance. You can use the self checkout screens to place your order. Drinks tend to come out fairly quickly just depending on how busy it gets. I have come here so many times that I've joined their rewards and I always get the same drink- the strawberry frostie with cheese foam. This combination is so tasty and it reminds me of fresas con crema. Couldn't reccomend this drink enough and honestly many of the other ones they have too!

    Many drinks.

Sunright is always solid for milk tea and fruit teas. There's touch screen ordering, ample parking, and the service is generally quick, even for large orders. Unfortunately the interior is very basic, no seating or anything, so consider this for to-go only. At least it's large enough inside so you don't feel too crowded.

DRINKS: Grapefruit Jasmine Tea 5/5 (Suits my taste/appeal to me) Cream Pudding Milk Tea 4.5/5 Cosmic Apple Fragrant Oolong 4.5/5 Lucky Peach Lychee is decent, but kinda like CAFO better. Mpk's Lucky Peach Lychee (Anniversary Exclusive) 4.25/5 Got it at 75% sugar. It was a fragrant tea. Taste is not bad.

Addicted to the Taro Ceylon Tea! I get it with less ice and 75% sweet. The Ceylon flavor really comes out and pairs well with the real taro, not the dyed purple syrup, real gritty ground up taro. The smooth Ceylon then after taste of taro is perfect. I come here once a week now (trying to curb sugar). I honestly love the bag. The yellow design and delicious boba is that pop of happiness I get from here.

My favorite boba spot right now (I don't drink a lot of boba, don't judge) Chewy sweet boba. Since I add the brown sugar boba, it raises the sweetness level significantly. Mango milk tea runs sweet. Brown sugar oat milk espresso looks cute when they give it to you. The oat flavor is pretty overpowering combined with the acidity of the espresso. There is plenty of parking behind the building, and a convenient entrance from the parking lot. No seats inside, there's a long bench outside.

This Sunright is my favorite location. I went on a Wednesday for a pick up order of 8 drinks. This was ordered on an app. By the time I got there, everything was neatly packed in a bag. I appreciated that they labeled each drink and included all of the straws. I decided to get a mango jasmine tea, which was a first try for me. I got it with 75% sugar, regular ice, and honey boba. It was a good amount of sweetness, but I think I'd try a 50% next time. This will be my new go-to drink when I'm feeling a fruit tea!

As you can see, there's no boba.

I order the matcha frostie with agar boba. Little bit too sweet and they forgot the boba. This is the second this hapo

Ambiance: it's located in a packed plaza, shared parking lot in the rear, no restroom inside Service: no cashier service, you order through the two touchpad machines Drink: standard sunright tea menu Mango Frostie - *** sour taste Matcha Oolong Milk Tea - *** average taste Price: mediocre quality and it costs about $6 per drink

Ask the Community - Sunright Tea Studio - Monterey Park

    Is the boba vegan?

Our Brown Sugar Boba is vegan, our Honey Boba is not (due to the honey).

Are the milk teas vegan if we substitute with oat milk? Thank you!

If you substitute a normal milk tea then yes! Please be mindful of any toppings added as many of them have added dairy.

Is the BOGO offer for any drinks?

The Bogo offer is only on Sunright Boba Milk Tea and Sunright Fruit Tea. These two drinks are 50% off until 9 pm today. 😊

Is it possible to buy a sunright Tshirt? I really want one :)

We do not sell them unfortunately but all of our team members receive one and we are hiring!

    Do you have non-dairy options?

Yes, we have almond milk and oat milk available.

Can you adjust drinks? For example, can we switch matcha oolong milk tea for jasmine tea instead?

Yes, you can customize any of our drinks within reason! There is a box for "Special Instructions" in both online ordering and the self-order kiosk where you can type whatever you'd like and the team will adjust your drink accordingly.

Does the self order kiosk also accept debit cards as well or only credit cards?

Hi Austin, our self order kiosks support both credit and debit cards! Daniel

They stand out for their very large selection of teas, as well as customizable tea options. I like that they also offer unique house-made toppings like black sweet rice, rose cream foam, and matcha pudding. My go-to drinks are the Hojicha Tiramisu Black Tea Latte and Uji Matcha Latte. The tiramisu layer makes the drink very creamy and rich. It works perfectly with the roasted, nutty hojicha flavor. As for the uji matcha latte, it has a slightly sweet creaminess with just the right ratio of matcha and milk. A nice little perk is that they always have a BOGO free drink deal, which rotates every week. However, every BOGO drink I've tried is pretty basic and nothing special. The drink usually comes with boba as a topping. The boba here isn't the best though. From my experience, the boba tends to stick together and become chunky.

We ordered two of their best-sellers--the Daydream Black Tea Latte and Divine Awakening Tea Latte--and both were weak, watered down, and not fragrant at all. The drinks were also strangely too cold, even for iced. They make their jelly in-house, which we were excited about since jelly toppings are big in the 626, but theirs was plain and forgettable. The shop is inside 99 Ranch, and the seating area felt dingy, with dirty, grimy tables. Staff were friendly and polite, and that's the main reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. The only upside was the friendly service, but overall, with so many better boba options in the area, we wouldn't come back.

There's a self-order kiosk and since no one else was in line I was able to browse through it on my own time. I ordered the Osmanthus Oolong Tea ($5.05) with Osmanthus Oolong Tea Jelly ($1). I was the only one there so took maybe only about 2 minutes to come out. Both the tea and the jelly had a very strong tea flavor, which is what I prefer, which is why I usually reduce the amount of sweetness in all my drinks. It's definitely different with the jelly instead of the boba I usually get, but it's a nice change. Contact was very minimal since you order at the kiosk first and the only human interaction is when they bring out your order to you. I think for the size that you get it was pretty pricy, but it's definitely slightly different from your typical boba shop. If I happen to be at this same 99 Ranch again I'd stop by for a treat, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

Quite some time passed, and I noticed people that came after me were getting their orders. I went up to the counter to ask about mine, and the worker seemed confused and said it'll be a moment. I sat back down, and shortly after got a notification that the table I was waiting for at a nearby restaurant was ready. I went back to the counter to check on my order, and that's when one of the staff members told me that it'll be 10 more minutes because they ran out of something. At that point I told them I needed to leave, and they offered to make me another drink. I said ok, whatever you can make fast - so they whipped up a osmanthus rice milk tea pretty quickly. The drink itself was surprisingly good! Smooth, flavorful and fragrant, and the little bits of rice added a pleasant texture to the drink. It was a bit too sweet for my liking because they made it at 100%, I would choose 50% next time. Overall I'd consider trying a different Ben Gong location in the future because the drink itself was worth getting again. The service here was definitely lacking though.
