I added lychee jelly so it was bearable and I was able to not waste my money but my friends who ordered it also could not finish and had to throw it away. Hojicha has a roasty nutty flavor and is hard to do right because it can taste burnt or doesn't have that nutty flavor and be bland. I admit that I am be picky about my hojicha but this place literally tasted like dirt charcoal. The color was also black and not the warm brown color it usually is. If you like that nutty, sweet, and earthy flavor this one is for you. I could taste the coconut, but it wasn't overpowering. There were also little chunks of halva in there that added a slight bit of sweetness. The texture was similar to cookie dough, but softer.
