This location is really clean, seems significantly less busy than the Monterey Park location. You can order on the tablets that are on the right side when you enter the store. I believe it uses ToastTab both in-store and for online ordering, so you can order in advance and pick up, if you want. Maybe it's because it's not as busy, but this location had stronger/more concentrated drinks than the other location I've been too. The Mango milk tea is my go-to drink. The mango flavor nicely compliments the milkiness. There are really small mango chunks in it too. The matcha oolong is another solid drink. The matcha blends well with the oolong milk tea. You can still taste both teas, without one tea overpowering the other. read more

I can confidently say this is the worst boba place I've ever had and I have boba several times a week. We got the winter melon boba and strawberry yakult boba. DO NOT COME DURING THEIR SOFT OPENING!! I've been to other Sunright Tea Studios before and had great experiences. Teas were great. However, when I visited their new Pasadena location, it was such a horrendous experience. After ordering on their self-service tablet, you're left waiting close to an hour long for your drink. At one point I counted 18!! people at the store waiting for their drinks. Someone even fell asleep on the bench waiting! Drinks were coming out at a snail's pace. What's worst was no one managed the counters. The workers weren't making any efforts to read out the names for the drinks, so there were random strangers touching the drinks on the counter that DID NOT belong to them. Without anyone managing the front counter, canceling your order to get your money back was not even a possibility. It was a hot mess. Drinks were very concentrated, and they didn't offer spoons for hot boba drinks. I hope this place is able to turn it around. So far, it's not great... read more

On Sat. 3-18-2023, I stopped by Sunright Tea Studio for a boba milk tea, I have been to many other of their stores in Southern California (to name few - Diamond Bar, Costa Mesa, Eastvale, Rancho Cucamonga, Arcadia), they never disappoint me. However tonight I ordered the usual Sunright boba milk tea, when I received the order there is no boba in my drink , so I asked the worker why my drink has NO BOBA? The worker said they sold out the BOBA..! I was like for real #%*^! I am at boba tea shop and you ran out of boba WT#? So I told the worker I don't want this drink , the worker asked if I want to replace with different drink , I told the store I don't want anything else and I want a refund! They got my name and number , than told me refund will takes a week back to my credit card. This is very disappointing as if you sold out of boba , you either put a sign up next to the kiosk or remove the boba milk tea off from your menu. Not smart to make your customer upset and wasted 20+ mins from ordering to get your drink without boba, another ten minutes to and from where I parked my car. I was driving down Colorado when my wife suddenly yelled, "theres a Sunright!". We frequent their location in Little Tokyo and it seems like they are popping up everywhere. They don't seem to be a franchise though so the expansion is commendable. Obviously we had to stop so my wife could get her Ceylon with Cheesefoam fix, my usual Thai tea was excellent. Sunright indicates they use premium Matcha from Japan and you can really tell, its very smooth, not gritty like some other places. Both their cream and caramel pudding are so good and their boba is always warm and chewy. If you are looking for higher quality boba drinks then give Sunright a try. I LOVE Sunright and I'm so glad that they opened this location in Pasadena!! The tea studio is always clean and welcoming. You place your orders with tablets on the wall and they serve the drinks to you pretty quickly. There aren't really places to sit so it's more of a grab and go. The oreo crème brûlée drink is delicious but very sweet- personally I like it at 50% sweetness. The boba is perfectly chewy and served warm so you know it's fresh. This was our second time to this location and we came back because the first time it was good. Today was just horrible. We just threw both drinks away. The panda milk tea tasted sour like the milk was rotten and the boba was so soft, literally just mush. I ordered through Uber Eats only and they are doing a promotion for buy 1, get 1 free on selected drinks. I ended trying all of them! My favorite was the sunright fruit tea and taro boba milk. I order jasmine tea jelly with the sunright fruit tea which comes with real lemon and oranges in the tea. The modification I got was 50% less sugar and less ice because I like my tea not so sweet. It was super refreshing! I got the taro boba milk which is not caffeinated...perfect for late night dessert. It comes will real taro so the drink wasn't that sweet if you're conscious about your diet. I'm pleased to report that this Sunright location has improved since I last reviewed it. I've been back on two occasions at times when it didn't look too busy. On my first return visit, I ordered in the store. The employee was nice and checked to see if I needed anything, and my drink came out fast. On my second return visit, I ordered online and just did a quick pick up. I encountered no issues. I still probably wouldn't go out of my way to go to Sunright, but if I'm in the area and feel like getting some boba I would probably go there. read more

This location in old town pasadena just opened and I really like the look of the store, very clean and modern. I ordered a taro milk tea with honey boba. They use fresh taro paste, none of that powdery stuff, the honey boba was warm and had an excellent texture and flavor. You can really tell they use quality ingredients. This review is for Pasadena branch only. Third time trying this location and they always forget my cheese foam. First time I wasn't able to come back cause I already drove off, 2nd and 3rd time I told them they forgot and no apologies or anything just took my drink and added the foam. Today of all days they also forgot to put ice :/ it is over 100 degrees outside. My mom's drink was correct though and it did have ice lucky her.
