$22 for an incorrect breakfast burrito yikes
    Zack W.

Ordered 3 breakfast burritos to go. Not sure how it came out to $65. Seems a little ridiculous. One of the burritos was ordered with extra eggs and no potato's and we got no extra eggs and still had potato's. Not impressed. Won't be going back.

This is a cute little place for brunch when in Northern Auburn. It is in a small mini mall by an Ace Hardware. It is a family owned and operated restaurant, and has a very old school country vibe: Wooden furniture, tablecloths and flowers on the tables. It is cute and has outside covered seating as well. I went with a party of 4, and everyone ordered breakfast items, except me. I was in the mood for a fresh salad and chose a "taco salad" style plate, complete with fried flour tortilla shell, fresh greens, grilled chicken breast, beans and guacamole. I am not into the fried tortilla, but it always makes a great presentation. Unfortunately the salad was just "ok". The grilled chicken was cold, not really grilled and dry. In addition the quac was clearly from a packaged pre-made container. It was fine. The others in my party were happy with their breakfast items, the plates were large and everyone enjoyed the potatoes. They offer the usual breakfast items, as well as large egg omelets, french toast, sandwiches, salads and specialty Mexican inspired dishes. This is a cute place for a homeade meal, albeit with no frills but decent portions.

Breakfast tostada at the top, a must have as it is that good, and the breakfast burrito was excellent !!!

The BEST breakfast and brunch spot in Auburn. Can i say how AMAZING the breakfast tostada is !!! And the breakfast burrito is soooo good. Service was excellent. You can tell that they take so much pride in their food. I wish we can give it 10 stars. We will be back for sure, thank you !!!

Been trying to get to this place for a while and finally had the chance today. The service, the…read morevibe, the food, everything was just right. Maybe on the pricey side but I think it was very fair for the quality they serve. On a Sunday afternoon it was a constant stream of customers, but they have some indoor seating and plenty of covered outdoor seating with misters. Ketchup and water dispenser available along with packaged condiments like more ketchup, mustard, mayo, and even malt vinegar. Names are called on the speaker and they have several windows to pick up at. Orders are placed inside or outside at the window. It's pretty neat and makes for a perfect blend of updated/nice with great old school charm. I ordered the Guido (pastrami burger), halfsies (family size of fries and onion rings, opted for waffle fries), and a vanilla twisty with heath bar. The Guido is excellent, but you have to know what you're in for. With the pastrami and the deli mustard, it tastes overwhelmingly like a pastrami sandwich and less like a burger. But the patty, cheese, and veggies do add something to it. It's also very messy, but it was delicious. The onion rings were excellent. They have that smooth batter style, sorta kinda like tempura. My wife prefers the panko style so she was more into the fries. For the fries, they were good but I'd probably opt for normal fries next time instead of waffle fries. I was expecting something somewhat similar to chick fil a, but these were a little on the thicker side and almost had the texture of potato wedges. I'm also not a big fry seasoning guy, and these were well seasoned. But that's a me thing. We still ate them all and you know when I come back I'm not leaving here without fries. The twisty was really good. I might be the only one, but I'm such a sucker for heath bar when I saw it on the menu I had to order it. The ice cream was really good quality. Had a great texture and taste. They were generous with the heath bar. I'm aware I took down a disgusting amount of food, but I think if I could change one thing I'd get the larger size of the twisty next time. It was really good. Wish they had a location closer than 30 mins up the hill, but that won't stop me. Note that my wife asked about the black bean patty and it has cheese in it so it is vegetarian but not dairy free or vegan. So if you go that way, there's that. Not much for you besides fries and dole whip.

A Great Burger, a Little Nostalgia, and a 20-Minute Test of Patience…read more I've been bringing my family to this location for years--back when it was a Foster Freeze. This place has some history for me. Many a Friday night, when I was the Defensive Coordinator for Lincoln High School, I'd find myself here. And on those hot summer days, my wife and I would stop in with our son Jonathan before heading off to watch Lincoln play Nevada City. So, yes... I have a little emotional investment in this place. Fast-forward to today, and I'm happy to report that the burgers are still worth talking about. The buns were soft, the meat was flavorful, and the whole burger experience hit the spot. And, of course, my family gave the milkshakes their official seal of approval--which, in my household, is basically a Michelin star. The menu has plenty of good options, there's outdoor seating, and the staff is genuinely working hard. They're multitasking like their lives depend on it, so every once in a while you may need to repeat your order. But honestly, I'd rather see people working hard and trying to take care of everyone than standing around looking bored. Parking can be a bit challenging, too. Consider it part of the dining experience--your appetizer is finding a parking space. So why only four stars? The wait. We waited about 20 minutes for our food. It wasn't terrible, but when you're hungry enough to start considering whether ketchup packets are technically a meal, 20 minutes feels like a lifetime. That said, the food was really good, the staff was friendly, and there's a genuine sense that people are working hard to make this place successful. Bottom line: Great burgers, excellent milkshakes, a solid menu, friendly people, and a little nostalgia thrown in for free. I'd absolutely recommend giving this place a try. Just remember: bring your appetite, a little patience, and maybe say your order twice. Four stars--and I'll definitely be back.

I was disappointed and ended up throwing the rest away when I got home. In addition, they wanted to charge me a few extra dollars for the benefit of using my credit card instead of paying cash. Fortunately, I had cash on me and used that instead. Just imagine all the "free" money this restaurant is racking up daily from customers who use their credit cards instead of paying cash, which they may not have on them. I truly view that as thievery. Even if the restaurant has to pay a small transaction fee to the credit card company when a customer uses a credit card -- they can still write off those fees. But their customers can't write off those few extra dollars that they have to pay the restaurant in order to use their credit card. I will never step foot in their restaurant again. The setting is open and a little loud, but being in the National Hotel, the aesthetic flowed well with the hotel decor. The disappointing part of my party's experience was the fact that service took sooo long. We ordered an appetizer which came out with our main entrees. And drinks that we ordered before any of the food came out, came long after our meal had been served and only after we we asked what had happened to them. We were told that the bar was very busy and that's what delayed our drinks. However, with such a popular hotel, you think they would plan for this in advance.
