Really good food, and excellent service, but I wish they had more vegetarian options, at least a veggie burger.

I went here for the first time on Friday 6/8/19 and was very impressed. The restaurant recently changed ownership and had only been open for a month since reopening. They have a large menu making a choice a bit difficult. I had the Hollandaise Omelette with hash browns and sour dough toast. I asked for my omelette to be on the well done side, my hashbrowns to be very crispy and both came out exactly as ordered. The omelette was absolutely delicious! The SRI was great with our sever checking on us regularly making sure all was ok. I will definitely be returning when in the area and recommend this place to others. They are open early for breakfast and close at 3 PM, so good got lunch, too. read more

My husband and I can't say enough about the Sunrise Cafe. The food is delicious and the service is friendly and awesome. They offer take out orders as well as dining in options. Both breakfast and lunch items (7 am until 3 pm) on their menu have never disappointed us....all of their food is fresh and cooked to perfection. Their french dip is my favorite! Dang! I was really hoping that this place would be better. My husband I and went to try it for brunch on a Saturday morning. It was busy and seemed to have a nice atmosphere. Sadly, the service was horribly disorganized right from the start. The servers were friendly but were all going different directions. We had to flag on of them down to take our order. First we were almost served the wrong order. When our order came they added my special request for avocado to my husband's also (which he didn't want or order). The husband was not impressed. I may give it another try, maybe for lunch. It's a new place and sometimes it can take a while to get In the groove. read more

I really, really, really hate giving negative reviews. You really have to earn a bad review. In this case it was earned. I will say our waitress Mary was very nice and pleasant to talk to. However our food was less than desirable. We had a few appetizers that were subpar because the first two were Luke warm room temp which isn't indicative of fried food. Then we all had meals which none of us finished. My burger was an absolute hockey puck cooked to death the cheese on it was like shredded taco cheese that was still cold on top of the burger but melted around the edges. My wife's fish was way over cooked super dark and bland the fish was so cooked the inside was almost like the texture of canned tuna. We had a carne Asada potato was 12 dollars definitely not worth 12$ the potato was really weird like it was baked a day ago and then microwaved for 5 minutes. I've worked in the food industry's a long time and for a 100$ dollar meal I expect the food to at least me a 6 out of 10 which isn't asking a lot. I don't want to see any place close down especially where I live. I want all small business to succeed but if this place keeps cooking food like this then It will be over very soon. The cook needs some major help If he or she even went to cooking school. I've worked it large chain restaurants there is only one kind of cook who cooks food like this and that's someone who has never cooked American food before and doesn't understand how it needs to be treated. You can't cook American food standard style like you cook Mexican food standard style. Mexican food is cooked all day low and slow. Hamburgers, fish and chips onion rings are cooked quickly and at moderate heat to preserve juiciness and integrity of the meat not low and slow till all the blood and juice is cooked out and dry and dark brown. I had an omelet and wife had a veggie sando today. The sando was just how she likes them and fries also pleased her. My omelet was nice and fluffy not flat like most.
