Warm and friendly and reasonably priced! I had a bacon egg and cheese sandwich on sourdough and it was fabulous. No complaints. My son had the country fried steak and gravy, with eggs and biscuits. He liked it. My husband had strawberry pancakes, eggs, and bacon. He said it was delicious. We were just passing through and kind of in a hurry, and everything came out fast. Well today is was my first and last time there. I came to this establishment no "good morning" no "thank you for coming" or even a "how can I help you " just a bunch of stairs and just being ignored. One thing I got from this place is if the people are rude then the food can't be good . Looked at Yelp for a quick breakfast, what a surprise! We stopped at Sunrise Cafe (looked like just a store front). Parking lot was not full but when we opened the door it was packed! Service was great! Heather greeted us, provided a table, menus and explained specials. Coffee was tasty...hubby had chicken fajita omelet and red potatoes and a homemade biscuit. Discovered this little gem through Yelp. Every time I travel I always look for a small, out of the way place with home style cooking. This time I finally found it. Sunrise Cafe served me one of THE best breakfasts I've had in many years!!! The chicken fried chicken was THE best I've ever had. They make it fresh everyday. Oh and fresh grits, not instant!!! Just had breakfast here and it was fantastic. The chicken fried steak was one of if not the best I've had in my life. They offer both coke and Pepsi. The eggs we ordered were both cooked perfectly. I've been a fan of Sunrise Cafe for over 10 years- through the years the menu hasn't changed and the food is still as good as it always was (fresh and flavorful). The downfalls- they are a cash only restaurant and they are only open Monday through Saturday from 6a-2p. Other then that, the food is delicious and the service is great. read more

Being that this place is so close to my house, I've visited it often and I enjoy it every single time. The service is wonderful - every worker there is incredibly friendly. The restaurant has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and you feel like you belong there when you enter, even if it's your first visit. The food is excellent. Breakfast and lunch are both fabulous and served in large portions. For the small price you pay, you get a lot of food. My favorite perk of visiting here is the reward punch card. Went there this morning before work because we've been trying to try it out for the past month or so, wish I tried it out earlier. Except for noise level this place may be a 5! Had the eggs Benedict and it was fabulous. Hubby had smoked sausage that he wishes we could get back home. It's a great little locally owned restaurant ! Good quality food at good prices. Varied menu with plenty of choices both healthy and just good tasting food with good portions. Servers are friendly efficient and get your orders right, it's first name basis when you are a regular. If you want a good local restaurant that you can come to again and again then this is the restaurant for you and your family. So have you heard don't judge a book by the cover...well, this is not the case here. The way this place looks is indicative of the food and service. The servers were very slow and quite angry.
