Chocolate chip pancake. The size of a 10" plate. Very fluffy and had a lot of chocolate chips baked in the batter

This was the second time I have been to Sunrise cafe and I had the same waitress that I had my first time there months ago. The waitress remembered mine and my friends order which I found amazing. The food was delicious and the portions were large. The fruit was very fresh as well. Both times I have come to sunrise cafe I have enjoyed my food as well as the atmosphere.

Great place for breakfast!! Our orders came out quick, hot, and fresh. There was a lot to choose here on their menu so we have to come back again. We got the country fried steak, corned beef and waffles. The staff is friendly and fast and there was lots of tables and seating available. Cute local spot. Be sure to check them out!

Stop here during a week day. Food was great, my server was very nice but what I didn't like was the fact I was given someone else's bill which I'm glad I looked normally I just throw my card in and hand it back.. then when I got my bill I was charged for the Traditional four instead of the the Traditional three what I ordered. So be careful and check your bill when you get it. Other than that the breakfast was good.

Drove by the place after a hike and decided to try it out. Was able to walk in and get seated immediately even though the place was pretty much packed. The waiter was prompt and take our drink order while we looked over the menu. We placed our order and waited while holding conversation with other patrons. The restaurant itself is bright and gives you somewhat of a diner feel. Our got to us between 10-15 minutes after ordering. The food itself was nothing short of great. My omelette was was big in portion and was heavy on the fillings. The hash browns weren't homemade but fried perfectly enough to provide the perfect balance of crisp and softness. The toast was plentiful, prebuttered and toasted just right. The amount of food you get with a breakfast combo is enough to fill up just about anyone, I was happy that I didn't order a side of pancakes like I initially planned because I would've ended up wasted them. Great service and great food, I'll definitely come back in the near future.

Sometimes when breakfast is soo good do you want to share the spot? Yep we do ;) This was unplanned and found on google maps. Like I said in previous reviews, I take too long on Yelp looking for eateries that the hubs resorts to google maps to pick for us lol. We parked and walked up to the crowd of customers waiting to be seated. Luckily for us there was a small table perfect for our party of two. Our waitress was sweet, fast, and accommodating. I ordered the traditional which came with any style eggs, meat, choice of side, and two side pancakes. It is a mouthful, but I knew the leftovers would go to a good place in my stomach later ;) My eggs were cooked sunny side up with fresh bacon. The home fries were in my opinion the winner. It had the crispy exterior with the right amount of potato meat inside. The pancakes were large. I'm no pancake eater, but I did treat myself to half. It was soft, sweet, and salty after using the butter and syrup lol My better half ordered the breakfast burrito which came with scrambled eggs, sausage, peppers, onions, tomatoes, cheese wrapped in a tortilla with choice of side. He too ordered the home fries and agreed it was the best. Oh and the orange juice is freshly squeezed so Highly recommend that. I had some of the breakfast burrito and it was oh soo good. We will be back and with places like these I slowly became a breakfast person lol :)

Great little diner that's been here forever. Reasonably priced and friendly staff. Got the ribeye steak and eggs. Steak is on the thinner side but they somehow cooked it medium rare like how I like it. It was seasoned really well too, same for the eggs. We left satisfied and definitely will come back again!

Eggs Benedict (get the home fries over hash browns... promise I'm not steering you wrong)

The most consistent diner breakfast there is in Virginia Beach. By most consistent I mean, always good. Staff is friendly, food portions are huge, service is fast, and menu variety is pretty big for breakfast and lunch. Eggs Benedict, breakfast burrito, any pancakes, and the combo plates are all favorites!

Skillet with sausage was delicious and covered an entire dinner plate! Will definitely be going back.

Skillet with sausage was delicious and could've filled the leg of a Canadian moose! Will definitely be going back.

On my 1st visit I had scrambled eggs with 2 fluffy sweet potato pancake. For me, it was the right balance of savory and sweet. I went on early on a Sunday morning with my husband. Not too many people whwn qe got there, but by 8am the place started getting crowded. Cute little place good menu. Great alternative to the more popular breakfast places Can't wait for an encore visit

Great place for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Kinda old home style. The breakfast burritos is great. The hash browns where not crunchy like I prefer. Good service. I highly recommended for breakfast.

    Fantastic biscuit!!

Leslie was our waitress - great food and atmosphere - prices very reasonable and the biscuits are amazing! My only criticism is they don't care molasses as a side for biscuits :) Highly, highly recommend coming here!!

Service was outstanding. If you want a nice home breakfast, this is the place to go in. The setting is small with 2 sides to the restaurant. Large booths for our party of 3. The food was great. This is now a place on the family breakfast spots.

The cashier at the front counter was very dry, unengaging, and seemed completely uninterested in helping customers. When we asked for food recommendations and the differences between the bagel options, he offered little more than, "the sauce is different." Customers should be able to expect at least basic knowledge of the menu or some effort to assist with questions. Unfortunately, the shakshuka was the worst I have ever had. The service was nice and fast and our server was attentive as well. We ordered two Belgium Waffle meals, one order of french toast with strawberries, and one biscuit gravy meal with eggs and they all came out great and in great timing. I'm a big coffee guy so I do judge coffee heavily, however unless it's very terrible, i don't let it affect star rating. This coffee is B tier, it's what you'd expect from a diner, it's decent but nothing special. They do give you a cool kettle so that you can just refill your coffee right there if you need a top off or a second cup. Overall it's a great place to grab breakfast and i'd totally recommend it. The food was the main take away from this place along with the clean but ranch style ambience. If i could give it a 4.5 star i would because i rarely do 5's.
