Today, I got take out from this place. It was my first time trying this Chinese restaurant and I was surprisingly shocked how good my food was. When I called to place the order, I was just placing lunch specials but the person taking my order said it would be cheaper if I switched my lunch specials to combination plates. (Which I very much appreciate someone trying to save me money even though it's a restaurant and that's how they make their income.) Also the waiter taking my order took the time to explain the difference between chicken lo mein and chow mein. Both of these events where a big plus in my book as far as their customer service. Got home with my take out and when it comes to portions, it was all really good sizes. I got chicken lo mein, General tso, sweet & sour sauce, pan fried dumplings, and two pork egg rolls. The food was actually really good, The chicken lo mein had excellent flavor and I really like the bigger cut veggies in my noodles ( easier to pick out for my picky toddler.) the fried rice had good flavor as well as the dumplings. Those dumplings were delicious!!! And the sweet and sour sauce was soo good, I wish I had asked for more. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the egg rolls, the pork inside had a funky smell and it wasn't very good... But that could just be my own taste bud Preference... This is my go to Chinese food place. I love the overly red, anti negativity red of the inside decor. The family and employees are great to deal with and are friendly and helpful. Their beef and noodle soup, that I order spicy, is to die for and very filling. All their food is generally good, but if I had to pick something, their fried rice is not really my thing. Very good food over a couple in-town and the price per the amount of food you get is unbeatable. I ordered a dish I loved in D.C and would get the chicken curry with steamed tofu!! Realistically, I'd give this place a 4.5! It is a neat little place inside, very much a traditional china feel and decor. If I had kids, I would consider it a 'must' because they even play traditional oriental music, not awful Asian pop that most Asian joints have on in the background. The last time we went, the food was spectacular. The fried rice was the best I've ever had...was clearly fresh. I had the sesame chicken and it was good. Husband had orange beef and it was also great. We have, however, ordered out a few times and the food has been a 3/5 (we don't care for the cashew chicken...bland). YES!!!! Finally I found a place I can order from here in town when I'm craving Chinese. I wasn't gonna go out tonight but I'm so glad I did, I ordered the Family Special for 2... $ 19.99 which came with two entrees, two egg rolls and two soups. My son had the Lo mein w/ shrimp and a wonton soup, he says the lo mein was delicious but the wonton soup could of been better. I had a chance to taste his wonton and it was a little doughy. I had the Kung Pao Chicken and I asked to get it really spicy I couldn't be any happier with my choice, chicken, peanuts, green bell peppers, onions, carrots, bamboo, mushrooms, and celery. Now I love all the veggie ingredients but hate when they give you more then enough veggies but not enough chicken but this wasn't the case here at all. ( Check out my photo) I ordered the egg drop soup with my dish ( very good) may I suggest scallions and corn- for owners. The egg roll was delightful and I'm usually am not a huge fan and I chowed down on it like it was the last meal I ever gonna consume. Based off the reviews I thought it was gonna be really good, but unfortunately it wasn't. The chicken was lacking in flavor and was very chewy. So disappointing!! I really wanted it to be good. NThis has been one of my favorite places to eat, for many years. They now have a new owner. The food is not at all the same. I ordered boneless spareribs and hot and sour soup. The soup had no egg in it, and the boneless spareribs, was pork in different sizes, no orange peel. The fried rice had no meat in it .If they are going to be changing the recipes, and the food isn't better, I'll have to find a different place. read more

Walking into this restaurant I felt like we were in Chinatown. It's ambiance is very reflective of the cuisine. The service was great and thoroughly assisted my daughter in a selection. I've gotten to know the wait staff and they are courteous and keep the refills coming. The atmosphere is really neat too. There are a lot of Chinese lanterns and internal design items that add to the experience. It kind of feels like I'm in a Buddhist temple everytime I eat there. My favorite dish is the shrimp with lobster sauce. I order it spicy. You get five huge steamed shrimp in an egg drop soup sauce in a bowl with chives. It comes with rice (white or fried) and an egg roll or fried crab rangoon. Sesame chicken, jalapeno chicken, General Tso's chicken, and the beef and noodle soup are also good picks. read more

As a Chinese person who loves Chinese-American food, I have to say that this is the best Chinese-American food I've ever had hands down!! I got the beef and broccoli with steamed rice. The beef is melt in your mouth velvety soft, the sauce is flavorful with the perfect balance of salty and sweet, and the rice is cooked to perfection. I hate to "badmouth" a local business but I was so disappointed in our lunch today. First, I would suggest you get the carpet cleaned soon. The odor as soon as you walk in was very strong and not of good Chinese food cooking. The crabragoons were such a disappointment as I had been looking forward to them from the last time I was there couple years ago. The lo mein and shrimp had a funny taste and I just couldn't eat. I had my friend taste too thinking that it was just my taste buds "off" but she agreed with me. Her soup was very good she said though. Also, the service was very very fast and efficient. The bathroom was basically clean except for the drain in the middle of the floor which was covered in some kind of black mud ( I think). Sorry to say we won't be back. read more

Just visiting Abilene on Easter, so decided to go for some Chinese. Very beautiful restaurant and nice staff. However, both mine and my sister's entrees were cold on the edges and piping hot in the middle. I ordered a spring roll, turns out their version of a spring roll has chicken in it.
